1.install into existing folder MTW:VI
2use the default install place and change shortcut to there

We understand that people without any computer knowledge even will have difficulties with this very simple installer.Like Antalis said we cannot make it more easy if you follow the instructions it will work,it is almost everytime a small thing that causes the Mod not to work.Antalis and i helped hundreds and hundreds of people so follow the instructions step by step and be critic of yourself first.If you get stuck post a good report of what you did and what is not working and most of the time we can help you.There is nothing wrong with the installer it is the man behind it that made a mistake or has a problem and if we have corrupt files your posting helps to find them so please don't get angry so quickly just read,think and try if you get stuck we are here to help you.

There is nothing tricky, really nothing.
Its as simple as it can be.
We don´t know where you have installed MTW, so we set the default directory as installations path.
You have to change it by yourshelf to your MTW directory.
Thats the only thing you have to do.

The NTW installer works exactly the same it only does not create a desktop icons or a un-install option that is the only difference.Quote:

on twc antalis told me to install in the c:progamfiles/totalwar/vikinginvasion and promised it will work

Are you sure, that you using a fresh installation of MTW+VI?
And have never installed an other mod to it (or installed before HTW into a false folder into it, so that the HTW files are twice there?).
I recomend to install MTW+VI+VI201 patch +HTW v21 again.
fresh installion of MTW then VI add patch install hellenic i'm gonna do that again

Ok let Me get it straight.
As I dont have any clean Mtw + vi + pactch only I just made a copy/past of Medmod to a diff directory, after changing main folder name http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cg...ons/tongue.gif.
Then applied self instaler.
Started a campaign on the 1st period (Those freacking names lol) as the 1st avaiable faction and did my 1st combat on 1st move to the rebel province just on the left.
So besides being humilliated by a force of less then half of My troups everything worked great.
No cdt's no pbls at all.
PLease note that I followed the advise on self installer of playing only with default units size

Got the mod working and am currently enjoying it. Played for Thracians on Expert. Rather easy playing for those guys -- they do start with large mass and lots of opportunity for expansion.
I know you guys are working on a new version, so hopefully will be upgrading soon
Im really anxious to see the next version.
It's a remarkable work already.
