I apologize but I have been busy and thus I haven't had the chance to work with the battle. :shame:
I'll end this turn tomorrow after work.
So, those who haven't sent their orders have about 16 hours to do that.

I Think I might try to end Liatus's story soon..... I was always hoping the game might go on long enough for me to become his son, but mehh. :laugh4: I will try and wrap things up so that I can end Eundro's story as well. (After we win of course.....:whip: CP is going down, no matter what I have to do to make sure it happens) :laugh4::laugh4:
Been great playing with you all, will be nice to end it all in a few cataclysmic battles..... :laugh4: Good ends to great beginnings.
What's happening then, we all finished?
Ibn is gone, so I am not sure what we can do. :sweatdrop:
If there's no one who can take over for Ibn, then yes, it's over. If then, then maybe starting a new PBM - either realizing Ibn's vision of a Carthage PBM, or just making a new one as another faction.
If we do that, we still need some game leader, or whatitscallednow. CDf, you kind of stood in for Ibn back before, are you interested in doing that "for real" now?
If That is what I takes I could step in a take over. Although as you can see, my work with the history has shown how little experience I have with stuff like this. :sweatdrop: if you are all fine with that then I will do it.
im fine with abandoning this. I doubt you were gonna cross anyway.
I really think we should explore a celtic or germanian campaign. With different players incharge of their own tribe or something like that. warlords and chiefs and such. It could be quite exciting. I can't spend as much time as I'd like to though.
It ended right when we decided to cross. The irony is not lost on us.
We would have won anyway :laugh4:
you should have withdrew and fought me like the romans fought hannibal.
What's happened with I-K?
I'm fine with dropping this too. Unfortunately I don't have time for a possible successor game, so good luck if you decide to make that happen. Wotb had a nice run though, so I'm satisfied.
We should try the sweboz campaign methinks.
You mean, like what Bean proposed before?
Thats probably what he meant, Only problem is that we do not have a rule set for a Sweboz Game.
The way I see it we have a few options.
1. We start up the Carthage Game that Ibn, TCV, and Merlinus have been working on. I think they have most of the game rules down in stone already, so the only thing we would need to do is get the threqads up and start recruiting, as well as figure out what we need for a mod.
2. we try and find someplace to work out a Sweboz or other barbarian game, If this had been a few months earlier I would have had more free time to work out most of it myself, but if we want to start it up now I think we would all have to pull together to get the research and game mechanics down. Then we would have to do some major recruiting.
3. ??? whatever else you guys come up with.
I am fine with whatever you guys want to do, so you guys want to figure out where the future of EB PBM's are going? :laugh4: Although it would be a shame if Ibn's Carthage rule set went to waste.
Yes, the rules (and all else) can be found here: http://totalwarforumspage.proboards....board=twseries.
It was really just Ibn and Merlinus who worked on them, though. I just gave one or two minor points in the end. :sweatdrop:
However, the rules can AFAIK rather easily be converted to a different faction (albeit, if we want something like the tribes-idea, then there's a little more work to do). My preferred one would be - *ahem* - a normal PBM as the Arverni.
Maybe we should start a poll to decide this.
Guys, I am not so sure I will be able to GM this alone. :sweatdrop: do not have as much free time as I used to, and have quite a few other commitments. Perhaps someone could co-GM it with me? :sweatdrop:
I just don't have enough free time to take on something as mammoth as this all alone.
Well, if necessary, I might be able to co-host this with you. That is, if no one better suited wish to do it.
From the rather lacking response in TSPBMT I guess we'll soon have to take those two votes as decisive, and pick Carthage. Personally, I like that choice too, so I'm perfectly fine with it. When do you reckon we should close the poll?
I was just about to post that we are making a new PBM in the EB forum, so keep it open for another day or so. (Already asked Foot about it.)
Not that I have time for it right now, but I was hoping to preserve this game system for future use (although ideally ported to EB 1.2) since I not only enjoy the specific faction but also think this particular game went rather well. Although most of the information is out here in the open, it seems that Ibn-Khaldun kept most of the very important background GM stuff in his head (or at least, not here). Ideally then, I'd like to know if it's possible for someone to write down how to GM the game, in such a way that even a trained monkey could do it, particularly the Player vs Player battles/interactions.
Most of the experience in GMing a EB PBM just left ironically. :sweatdrop:
I am not sure if he ever put down any of his experience GMing, and if he did I would sure love to see it. I would not be able to write what you want down, :sweatdrop: sorry.
TCV I will co-host an Averni Campaign with you if you are willing to do that. I've worked out my hours I work, and I should be able to GM a Play-by-mail with you.
I would be happy to do that, yes, but if CDf feels he still has the time needed, perhaps he would still be a better choice than me? I could be a reserve if necessary, or whatever.
I should have enough time to co GM I believe.
just won't be able to do all of it. :sweatdrop:
all 3 of us should Co-host i think. It'll take a lot of weight off 2 Hosts, and it'll prevent power hoarding, We could take turns coming up with events aswell, so that takes off weight on the creative aspect all around too. All 3 of us have experience in PvP tabletop battles also. I think things would be made much easier for all GM's if there were 3 of us. We can Divide work like the library, and other things. ect.
wow, thats an awesome Idea, lets do it.
A triumvirate if you will :laugh4:
Fine, I'm in on that too. Guess I have to be when you're one of the others, anyway.
:laugh4::laugh4: hey my personal life is not on trial! :laugh4:
Any objections?!
