Oh man! That's three games decided on last second scores. All against the teams I picked. Great football!
:wall:
Indeed. No offense, but who thought we'd need a last-minute field goal to beat the *Lions* (and at home, no less)??! Yet more evidence (as if any were needed) that Childress doesn't know how to run an offense any more than I know how to build a cold fusion engine.
Also, how sad is it that the Vikings could end up in a 3-way tie for 1st place in the NFC North with Chicago and Green Bay....and that we'd all be at only .500??
Yeah, that was amazing! I can't believe the lowly (and despised) Rams defeated the Redskins, though. Utter rubbish. :furious3:
The Rams-Redskins doesn't really matter since we all picked the Skins but I am happy to see them lose.
HOW BOUT 'DEM CARDINALS?

I love it whenever they ice the kicker and it backfires.
That game was horrible...
Pool- looks like me and Martok are tied atm- I win if Cleveland can beat the Giants on Monday Night...:sweatdrop:
I once knew what it was like to be near the top, alas I am now near the bottom. :bigcry:
There has been some good football today! :sweatdrop:
Ugh, if I picked the Chargers instead of being a homer, I'd be in first. What was I thinking?
This is ending badly for me:furious3:
I must say: you guys are pretty good pickers; picking 9 or 10 out of 13 would make you money in Vegas (or in my other, co-workers pool).
Did anyone actually see the Detroit game? It wasn't broadcast here. Were thay any good, at all - or just dumb luck? I admit my heart sank as I watched the score stay at, what?, 10-3 for what seemed forever.
As I said before, the Cowboys just aren't disciplined enough to win it this year. Romo holds on to the ball too long, and then not at all when he gets hit (which was a lot). That was a sad display of football on both sides, until the 4th quarter when the teams decided to actually play.
I think, for the good of the country, the networks will not be showing any Detroit football until the turkey day game. With the current economic crisis, we don't need to be subjected to that. :no:Quote:

I fear you are right. I was dismayed watching the game. All my teams had such promise at the beginning. Heres to the New York Football Giants please win so Strike can break .500...please! My hat is of to Matork and Makaikahaan good picks those two and if Clevland pulls it out tonight Mak will be the winner out right and will go 11-2, damn.
Heh. You beat to it. ~D
Holy crap! I didn't realize I'd done that well. ~
There were a few games where I knew I was sticking my neck out, such as going with Jacksonville over Denver. Of course, I also had picks like Miami over Houston that bit me in the keister. :laugh4:
I think you would have been proud, Kukri. Despite some bumbling around (and of course we were guilty of this as well), the Lions actually played a pretty spirited game throughout the afternoon, especially on the defensive side. By all rights, we should've lost this one too -- it was only via another set of last-minute heroics that we were able to pull a victory out of our nether-regions.
Your offense -- like our own -- still definitely needs some work. But the Detroit defense played hard yesterday, and showed that they can shut down teams when they want to.
Bad day for Dallas. Romo and the punter are out for an extended period of time.
GO CLEVELAND GO!
:cheerleader::cheerleader::cheerleader:
I give up:wall:
Look at it this way, Strike. You're new QB is still better than either of the dunces currently vying for the spot in Minnesota.(I'm willing to bet Martok wouldn't disagree:sweatdrop:)
Another interception, TD, and a two point conversion.
:bounce:
