Neverwinter Mafia - A Joker's Curse [Concluded]

Day 1

The Adventurers had left Neverwinter earlier that day; many knew staying in a confined city would drive them to madness as the laughter epidemic grew too dangerous. While they were off in their travels one peculiar adventurer returned to Neverwinter, FactionHeir and CountArch questioned him instantaneously but nothing other than drivel came from his mouth.

The towns procedure was simple, and the contamination while in or outside of Neverwinter was enough for the Man to lose his life, and to lose it in an extravagant fashion.

Firstly his body was thrown down in Neverwinter castle dungeons where a mechanical masher was brought up, with a pool of lava beside to destroy the contamination. Reenk smashed on the poor man’s body repeatedly grinding his torso into paste and dismembering his legs on contact. What the executioner was more disturbed by was the more pain inflicted on the man, the more he laughed, soon his laugh went into hysterics, the whole city could hear the sound and soon it became infectious, soon all citizens were laughing and subsequently, choking. The town was a picture of magical disaster as all lay dead only a few second since the beginning of the incidence, and deep below the city, in the Dungeons the Joker laughed no more and returned his form of man, upon leaving Neverwinter he gravitated into the crimson Joker shaped cloud leaving a trail of sinister destruction behind him.

White Eyes :D has achieved a Win, with Neverwinter destroyed his goal is accomplished, but the Adventurers are still very much alive and the game continues. (in the hope of getting second place)

Neverwinter has been obliterated, but I'm not ending my game on day 1 so on we press :smash:

Now this really reminds me of Jester Mafia, where the aim was to get lynched as early as possible. IMO it doesn't work for other games unless everyone is trying to get lynched (as was the case then), not jsut 1 person, and when its a victory condition.

Btw, what's that second goal you mentioned in your writeup?

...what the heck just happened..? Who was white eyes? Why/how did he kill off Neverwinter? Why was reenk the executioner when his character wouldnt do such a thing? I am realy confused...

White Eyes reminds of Fenring (what ever his name is now) in Simpons: Full Monty mafia...

Why do they always get such awesome roles....

Reenk seems to have a role?

No i only know his, Character. I dont know what role if any he has I just worked out what character in the list on wikipedia he is.

It does looks like Reenk is pro-town.

Never played Neverwinter, can't work out what his role is. Greyblades, does Reenk's character have any possibility of being a pro-town person?

Put it this way if his character was even near what ares depicted it as doing (im not even going to give the gender of it for obvious reasons), s/he would probably go into a coma from the shock and horror.

*Sigh* I mean that it is not very likely that s/he would be able to gain the corage to wound someone let alone the grusome overkill that ares said s/he did. So no i dont think that the character is capable of being mafia. Now whether or not reenk has the character or was just posing as having to fool me, or anyone else, is another matter.

I didn't mean to thank you in a sarcastic way (sorry if that's what you thought :shame:). I'm only saying that what you're saying confused me even more because as you rightly said it doesn't match the write up at all. So something aren't right...

Maybe you got his character wrong?
Maybe Reenk lied about the character (you don't have to be 100% honest in this game)
Maybe Aries disregarded the traits and gave Reenk a role anyway.
Maybe the universe is shrinking.... :dizzy2:

I meant that the character is not the sort to willingly do this: "Reenk smashed on the poor man’s body repeatedly grinding his torso into paste and dismembering his legs on contact." and so probably isnt mafia. I then went on to wonder if I either got the character mixed up with another or that ares doesnt know what the character will and wont do. IE: he gave a character who is a naiive optimist the role of a psycopath.

Just checked the Neverwinter characters on Wiki, I think I might know who she is, I'll just wait and see how things developes.

If a doctor/protector role is reading please protect Reenk as I just realised we just made him a prime target for the mafia/psycopath/whatever is anti town.

I am going to say this as a regular Mafia game player and not as a Moderator in the gameroom.

Having roles in a Mafia game which achieve a victory for being lynched should be discouraged. It might be a neat trick in the party game version when all gathered can just move to the next game immediately.
In the written form with all the time spent on signing up and preparing the game, such game stoppers are simply unwanted. It ruins the game (IMHO).

Your just jealous:clown:.....I felt the same way in "The Simpson mafia" when Fering got lynched and we later lost to the stone cutters(who claimed they were town:rolleyes:) You have no one to blame but yourself.....what sane person would say they have a kill ability on day one??:dizzy2:

I beleive that White eyes was the character Ammon Jerro a Chaotic evil mage that before becoming evil was a court jester, hence all the clown smilies. This is an annoying fact if true because it proves thet the characters are not restricted to characters from the first game which i first thought.

...The game's over? Good game.

You know if this is the end of my first mafia game I have to say this was pretty depressing. All it was White eyes confusing the heck out of us untill the night phase. I realy hope my next game isnt like this.

I was happy with a second place with the Stonecutters, but would of been more happy if we were actually first. But we had fun none he less.

i dont really get this game... doesnt help i neverplayed neverwinter :S

and does everyone get a goal to work towards? or know whether they're town/antitown? coz im not really sure what i have to do for my role :S

I told you we shouldnt have lynched White Eyes it was obvious that he had a suicide win role.

Actualy i know very little about the first game as iI've only played the second one its just that I know of very good websites and I used them to help me recognise the roleplaying that some of you did.
2 Questions I would like answers to: 1. Ares who was white eyes? And 2. are the characters from just the first game or from both?
