Are you agreeing with me that a more-or-less random vote is a good approach on day one? Because that's what I was trying to say. That's exactly what I did, but Ninjacow, albeit somewhat humorously, criticized me for doing so, since I voted for him without an explanation. I was pointing out that he also voted for people on Day 1 without much of a substantial explanation, as did many others.Quote:

what I was trying to say there was regardless of what your role is the common method is to create a tradition(eg me voting for AA and Csargo voting abstain on day 1) and observe from behind the curtains. This saves you from most of day 1 bandwagons

Never understood the arguments for a random chosen kill on day 1. Statistically it is completely dumb to have a random vote where the vast majority is innocent.

Correct, if you implemented it all the way through. But doing it on just day one is dumb because it's practically a free death for the mafia. I guess it's the same reason as not doing it the entire game, an abstaining day 1 is boring.Quote:

This is why some people set a minimum amount of votes for someone to be lynched on Day One.
ATPG has a really good argument about why lynches on day one are good, I don't know where it is though.
Something about having the most chances to kill scum. Also, check for scum behavior.
If there is a vanilla, or near-vanilla game, then voting behavior is close to the only source of information.Quote:

Round ended with a five-way tie; this tally fixes Visorslash's tally error regarding SouthernKing/Double A.
As such, unless I've miscounted, the round will continue from that point onward until 2pm tomorrow.
That means the continued votes past the previous official deadline are now legal and in effect. (Not reflected in the above tally)
This should be the only day that we have to deal with a round lasting more than 24 hours. Couldn't be helped, but now tiebreaker rules are known.
Should a tie remain unresolved at extended round end, no one will be lynched.
Why not just count the posts after than until now, so that is when you posted again, since you said that if it were a tie thee votes will continue.
