Honestly, I stopped reading most write-ups a couple years ago. I was obsessed with the things when I first started playing but my text-wall write-up analysis more frequently led in the exact wrong direction. For a long time now I've simply read posts and looked for responses that looked odd. I'll go back and read the write-ups later in the game if it seems pertinent at the time. In this game, scum is scum, at least so far, so I've put no effort whatsoever into trying to differentiate between them.
I've never quite admitted to this because I tend to play most frequently in Andres' games. He produces the best write-ups ever, but I'm still too lazy to read the things most of the time. I think he would WoG me if he knew that. :creep:

Re: Saxon Showdown [Sign-ups]
Remember back when we made the gangsters do the writeups? Then analyzing the writing for clues wasn't such a waste of time.
Well, often times it was still a waste of time, but at least it was a fun waste of time.

Why is it invalid? I think you are allowed to edit your posts, as this was something I picked up on before the game started.

As far as editing votes is concerned all that matters to me is that the person being voted for doesn't change. Seeing as all that Mr McCrow did is bold the vote I'm happy to count it.

Scum. Waited too long to self-save. Not legitimately town enough motivation. Should have at least declared his intentions to lynch Auto sooner.

Your more experienced mafia teammates are now scolding you for such an obvious scumtell post.
You might as well have blurted out "Murdering townies is awesome!".

Re: Saxon Showdown [IN PLAY]
FYI Scumbags- still not doing anything at night, and a delicious sitting duck target. Mmmm.... undefended pizza.
I dare you all to try to kill me tonight, if you have any male gonads.
Just think of it... a writeup where a massive mob descends upon the lowly pizza man, and splatters him all over his own car, like that scene in the Godfather. It's too awesome for you not to do it. Make me proud.
-
Re: Saxon Showdown [IN PLAY]
Maybe I'm the town detective and this is my big thing-waving tactic to mess with your minds. Don't let me win so easily.
Kill the pizza man, before I catch you all....

But that would be a bad idea. Someone has to deliver our pizza's. If nobody does it, the town would starve...
Oh, I think I find out his plot! He wants everyone dead, so he can have all the pizza's for himself!

Failure detected.
I already have all the pizzas. I want the rest of you guys around so I have someone to give them to. Hopefully, for monies.
I don't really care about da money. But my girl, she is always talking about da money. "Where's da money. Why aren't you going to get da money now?" and so on. And so on.
So, if you don't mind.... da money.

Re: Saxon Showdown [Sign-ups]
Start of Day 4
B-Wing was out having a drink, trying to take his mind of the plight of the city, when the trouble started. He knew something was up when the barman disappeared, leaving him alone in the room. Shortly after two men in trench coats entered the bar. B-Wing reacted quickly and just as they were drawing their AK-47s he launched himself over the bar and into cover. LazyMcCrow began to empty his clip into the bar, confident that B-Wing had no escape but before his accomplice could reach the end of the bar to flank their prey, two more men entered the room. This wasn't part of the plan and LazyMcCrow panicked. The two newcomers kept their cool and despatched Lazy coolly as he sprayed bullets mostly into the ceiling. As B-Wing and the Crow's accomplice bolted into the night, the Crow's killers laid a single red rose onto his corpse and strolled out into the night.
Darth Feather stopped dead in his tracks the moment LazyMcCrow was killed. He had always been close to his brother and could feel in his gut that something had happened, despite being on the other side of the city. Troubled, he laid down his Russian red lightsaber and walked to the window of his office. Strong Belgian beer had dulled his senses and the sound of the Imperial March blaring out of Darth Feather's speakers drowned out the footsteps of the intruder. It was a simple enough affair to slit the Russian's throat. After Darth Feather's body had stopped twitching the intruder laid a gold florin in between his eyes and left.
Day 4 will end at 22:00 GMT on the 5th (~24 hours from the time of this post).

His posts in the last day phase had a distinct lack of townie effort in them. I agree with ATPG that his last post also had a wiff of swooning due to Mafia Vapours. A suspect level of concern given his lack of effort a little while before.

I obviously concur with my own assessment. My vote here on B_Ray is simply to offer them both up for consideration, as they both seem like prime candidates to me. In a tie between HopAlong and any non-B-Ray player, I'll vote for HopAlongBunny.
hmm wait.
Here I was about to vote for B_Ray, but all of a sudden I have that Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd opera in my head now.
I must do as the random voices in my head command me to.

If it's lack of effort that matters, then one person rules the roost:

It's a case of mistaken identity of proportions not seen since the last time it was wabbit season.

Nice one, ATPG. :2thumbsup: I don't really see your logic here, however:

I FoS'ed autolycus before anyone had even voted for him, so I didn't have any qualms about lynching him in place of myself. But I didn't have any "intentions" to lynch him unless it was necessary, and announcing such ahead of time would only have jeopardized my opportunity to do so. Definitely sneaky, but not really scummy.
Abstain, thanks for the vote of confidence. :uneasy: I would like to point out that 3 of the 4 players I've voted for in this game have been mafia.

I'd love to point out besides that ridiculously scummy defence, I know a detective who has you and hab pegged as scum. TC is tonights scan victim.

Well, vote: HopAlongBunny then. A couple of lynches should confirm whether your detective is reliable, although it's probably best to bear in mind that they could be from one of the mafia groups themselves. It would be a clever way to thin out the opposition.

Well I concur, that defense not only proves nothing in a game with multiple mafia, but with changing allegiances as well, and not to mention how scummy it sounds to townie ears.
But are you telling me, that I picked two scumbags out just because of their in-thread behavior after not even paying attention?
I mean.... gawrsh. I guess it really IS wabbit season!
