It sounds like a windows registry problem....windows never erased Rome from your registry, and so it still sees the old installation as being there....and when you try to uninstall, the necessary uninstall folders aren't available, so it can't do it.

I would ask in the main forums....I guarantee someone can help you with that....hmmmm, I'm not 100% sure who is next, but I'll check and get back to you.

Thanks to all your efforts, I finally made this beast working. Thank you. I have no time to start my term today (my mother gets pissed off if I play too long...if she notices, of course:laugh4: ) but tomorrow my rule shall begin. Before that is the case, I want to know one thing:
I'm Epeius, right? I'm pretty sure, but I just wanted to ask to prevent me playing the wrong guy. And actually, the traits and personality of my character are going to influence my report (I hope so at least... I have never done an AAR before, but I hope I can get you to feel my character.
And, btw, how do you post screenshots so that they appaer directly on the thread?

6. Press Upload and upload your pics.
7. You'll now see that your pic is in your album.
After this it's really a simple matter of copy/paste.
You'll see several different codes under your picture (with an explanation of what they're for), just pick the last one (you'll see that it is to post on forums), it automatically copies once you select it (a photobucket feature), and then simply paste the code in your post, do a preview to make sure it looks good, and there ya go.

I hope that is easily followed. Look forward to seeing some screenshots of your casse campaign. You write well, and I am looking forward to reading more.

Good.I was about to try to get a motion started to choose someone else to be Hegemon.And in an unrelated note,I think I thought of a way to get a semi-civil war system.Bootsiuv,if your interested in that,PM me and I'll work on getting it more fine-tuned before posting it for use.

I have also ordered the construction of other buildings, but I do not want to make this longer than it has to. But there is one thing that will certainly matter in my speech: The northern campaign has begun! I have sent Akrotatos with our main army to liberate Demetrias from the hands of the barbaric makedonians. I have deemed him most fit for this task, as he is our most skilled military comander. He is currently besieging Demetrias, and shall report soon.
*Suddenly we hear an angry voice coming through the door which leads to the council hall: "No boy, you're not allowed in there! Hey! Stop!" Suddenly the door flys open, and a messanger appaers, sweating and gasping for breath*
"I have news! Akrotatos' army was attacked by a makedonian force which aims to break our siege of Demetrias!"

is it because of this save is in mid ai turn the normal save game i can open that one is 2.153kb this one is only 1.128kb

it seems the bastard makedonians have found how to create a computer and have hacked the savegame! :skull:

Hmmmm, I don't understand why that would be a problem....unless they're is something that prevents you from loading a game during an ai turn. If that's the case (which it shouldn't be, really), then the hegemon will just be forced to play out all battles during ai turns (which somewhat defeats the purpose of having characters), and the player who controls the character will have to play on our turn only.

Something in me says that this isn't right, because I'm fairly certain I've saved games right before a battle and then loaded during an ai turn.

Perhaps you should try uploading the file again. It's possible that it was corrupted somehow.

And your picture looks fine to me....no worries.

Ohhh, now I see, you mean the white border.

Just go into gimp (if you've downloaded it), and choose the crop tool. I'm fairly certain you can crop in paint as well. Hell, if I remember correctly, you can even crop in windows picture viewer.

I just noticed that you have a version which isn't english....could this have anything to do with save-game incompatibilites? I'm uncertain, but hope someone who has experience with these issues might chime in.

I hope this one works. It must be some kind of wierd probloem, as I too remember loading saves that where made during the AIs turn.

I just read some players seem to have problems with de-installing RTW: AFAIK these problems are caused by patching. This irrevocably inexplicably confuses the RTW installer; so it won't be able to uninstall by itself.

But there's a more powerful work-around; which I adressed in the EB install guide. Note that this way of uninstalling will also remove any save games you may have located in your RTW copy which is to be uninstalled. (Therefore I suggest you keep a back up of the latest save-game somewhere outside the RTW folder at all times...)

To answer your question, yes....that was the reason why we decided to use spoofa's script, because he had combined city mod and rp ver 1.1 into one script (with his own minor modifications if I recall correctly, but he could fill you in more on those), and, after determining that install order could affect what exactly your script was going to look like, it was better to use one player's script, so everyone was playing with the same thing.:yes:

And off course the people without a character that is old enough are aloud to play captains battles right? answer is Captians battles are played out by the hegemon, regardlesss if he has a character in-game or not.

I'm afraid that I have to report that Spoofa likely played the wrong battle save file he played mine Dummy save that I uploaded for problem solving with @Basileus Seleukeia broken save this was and couldn't be the proper save I PM him but I think he will sleep tight for quite a while after a exhausting EB marathon of 9 hours Sorry guys to mesh up things bad here is a part of what i PM to Spoofa

My suggestion is please give the save games different names like KH266 or KH250winter etc.

Otherwise you can't check it if you have the proper save especially later in the game and neither can you fall back to backup if you have only KH saves
