What gibson, you didn't want Peter to head to Morocco?

No pressure mate...but I'm back next Tuesday to finally take back over Arnold's battles.
Make hay while the sun shines.
I think a night battle would be a good move.
I don't know where OK is but I got dibs on the next save. I'm finally home and I'm just waiting for Ig to upload it. I noticed he's back and I'm rearing to go and release people!
I have this incovenient thing called a job to attend to. I will fight the battle in about 8-9 hours, 1300 ish GMT. I usually default to night battles, if available, unless it conveys no advantage or the enemy has a lot of bow men (flaming arrows bad).Quote:

Yeah, be mean and stop him at 9 dread. Say that Arnold found God or something and decided to let everyone go. :clown:Quote:

However, econ21 isn't here, and he's the only one who has the authority, as Chancellor, to yank back a save.
Yeah, Ig was told to clear out an area in France so he might be fighting a series of battles which would take longer. But I'm starting to wonder if his last post was a statement or a question. I always try to make it really clear when I have the save.
I want to fight it now before I pass out but I'm afraid he has it and might be fighting his as we speak. Bah, if he doesn't come back soon I'm going to give up my "dibs" and go to bed. I'll try and get to it in the morning. If it is still not up by morning, I will not be a happy camper...
*grumble grumble*
*edit*
of course, once I have coffee in the morning, my mood will most likely improve... ^^
"Don't push me though AG, or I'll start releasing prisoners."
Don't go and do that OK. I just promised Roadkill he could be my official executioner. :beam:
He's actually got a 6 in piety PK. He's not the anti christ...
well sort of...
well maybe. :beam:
Yeah, the "anti-christ" title in this game might actually go to Peter. He has 0 Piety because of the Humanist trait. But he has high dread which is funny when put together with Humanism. Maybe he wants to study people so he can be better at disassembling them. Or he believes that people matter, it just doesn't matter whether they are dead or alive. Even in little pieces, they matter. :laugh4:
of course you could argue that the anti-christ would actually have insanely high piety. Depends on your perspective I suppose.
There's certainly endless possibilities in playing the combination of traits. :dizzy2:
Yeah, that is a lot of the fun in my opinion. I try to work in every trait. It depends on the "amount". +1 traits are worked in a little, +2 more, and so on. Jan has 8 chivalry but he has "winning first" which gives him +1 dread. I use it to give Jan a "slight" moral ambiguity which allows him to better maneuver in the Diet while still being basically "good". He doesn't lie per se, he just doesn't tell the whole truth. ^_^Quote:

As the battle report was useless, I was too disappointed to refight manually, so I autoresolved it.
Alright Ig, sorry for getting impatient. I was just getting to wonder what was up after 4 and a half hours. Sorry about your computer crapping out.
I have the save.
Sounds good - let's do that.Quote:

The easiest way to do it is talk a screenshot of the post battle report and manually note the pre-battle odds (put your mouse over the relative strengths bar).
Sorry I took so long. Had three battles to fight. Got a new title. Woot! :2thumbsup:

will PM econ my stats in a minute.
Another statement of the obvious - if people plan to post a battle report, please post a placeholder in the relevant thread.
EDIT: Ignoramus: did you keep a note of your battle stats? How many fights did you have?
I have got a screenshot, I just haven't uploaded it yet. I will get that up soon. I only had the one battle, as all three French armies were next to each other.
Stig - from your continued posts in the Diet, Ansehelm is clearly not sitting it out and is getting himself very involved. You can't complain if this leads to in character responses.Quote:

If you're looking for a good out, Stig, you could go for the "long illness". Northnovas used this when he was on vacation. It keeps you out of the action, and you get plausible deniability for anything that happens while you're sick.
Your call.
Also, while I don't know the details, I'm sure all the houses are going to be dragged through the @#@$ before it's all said and done.
Gibson is acting on his own initiative - neither TinCow, Ituralde nor myself asked him too. However, we did happily accept his suggestions as they fit perfectly with our draft plot. Just because you personally are opposed to this cataclysm event, you cannot OOC veto Franconian players from being involved just because IC you play their Duke.
As I see it, you can either be in this as Duke, and not complain OOC, or you can get Ansehelm to resign/appoint a Steward, and happily sit it out.
Your staying involved IC and getting pissed off OOC is not going to make this a good experience for you. Or me.
I'm not involved because I want to be involved, and making someone a Steward is a lousy way out imo. It's just that when Peter deserted people began shouting at Ansehelm.
As I said, I wanted Ansehelm to easely sit this out in Magdeburg or so, from where he can comment on things but only would he want it. Because of this, Ansehelm needs to stay in the frontline as we lack commanders.
Stig, if Ansehlem remains Duke then Elberhard will have to interact with him and I will have him do it strictly in character. If that leads to bad feelings on your part OOC, as it apparently has done in the past, then I apologise but it will not be my intention.
