Okay, taking the save to attempt the relief of Hamburg. :beam:

From the Orders and Reports thread:
To avoid duplication, let's keep all announcements about taking the save and uploading new saves in the Orders and Report thread. Given the higher noise to signal ratio in the OOC thread, in future people don't need to make similar posts here.Quote:

Similarly, any instructions to the Chancellor about what to do with your avatar, please put them in the Orders and Reports thread. That way he only needs to keep track of one thread.
This thread can be for OOC discussion about the game and things like wishing everyone a Happy Christmas!

Happy Xmas Everyone!!!
Just thought I'd say it again!! :2thumbsup:
Thanks for the clarification! It makes much more sense to be all in the orders thread.Quote:

Merry Christmas, everyone!
Merry Xmas and the latest Chancellor report is now up!!
Please read.
The next phase is the end turn and AI attacks...I'll post up the order later tonight.
I just read the post in the Stories Thread. Did it get Arnold?
A Russian ship no less? The Russians do tend to get the plague first, but is there actually a Russian ship at the Ragusa port or is it a 'ship'?
:inquisitive: :help:
Who takes over now? Need I point out that Fritz came in second in the election. :laugh4: :idea2: (By about 15% of the vote to 85%, but still!).
:egypt:
What about the Austrian House?? :help:
We need confirmation on his status and what the hell happened and who is responsible!! :dizzy2:
Battle report updated.
:sweatdrop: Wow, and just when I thought avatar deaths were mostly over for a while...
Is the plague officially on (as in, with the plague events)? If so, maybe we should move a few people out of settlements.
Ouch.
(2nd in an election of 2. Sounds suspiciously like he became last :clown: )
So... what happens now?
I'd be inclined to say Arnold ended his turn in Ragusa and the plague sweapt in on end turn and he caught it. He won't be dead that quickly though I don't think. Usually takes a turn or more, although there are exceptions.
Apparently, there are some defensive battles this turn. I understand those involved will be PMd. AussieGiant has requested no peaking at the save unless you have a battle, please, and if you do peak, don’t disclose what you see to others.
will get onto mine shortly.
Wolfgang Hummel caught it and survived, IIRC.Quote:

NN and I have our battle reports up. Looking forward to Zim's!
edit: In my AAR quite a number of my generals caught the plague, carried it around for years at sea, and all but one of them survived IIRC. That was 'medium' campaign difficulty if that matters.
:egypt:
Geez, can't we have one good year that isn't marred by ill omens?
I'm still away from the game, can anyone tell me the units that are currently under Matt's command and verify he's at the Iron Bridge? I'll find out in 10 hours, but I am curious.

Thanks Northnovas! Odd, I thought they had been moved to the bridge. Of course that might be implemented in the latest save of mystery.
ok, did my battle. went perfectly, really, a glorious slaughter.
let the AI go on, metz was attacked and autoresolved (as per econ21s instructions), genoa was also sieged by the frenchies.
Matthias was attacked in outremer so im sending the save to OK. Will post battle reports etc later.
cheers
deguerra
I didn't think you'd have any trouble with those Frenchies. Well done Deguerra. :2thumbsup:
:egypt:
thanks! well it was only my second (and thats counting a rather unimporant frozen crusade one) PBM battle, and wow is it different if you really care about your general. That being said, Ludwig saw action against artillery crews, a full unit of scots guards and some lancers, but he prbly didnt fight quite as much as he might have in an SP game. That being said, siege battles where I only have a single cavalry unit aren't really perfect for general charges :clown:
I'm guessing it's implemented in the mystery save, the cannons should make it to the bridge as well(they have the move).
Thanks, I should get the report up sometime in the next 5-6 hours. What little excitement occurred in the battle was from my using so few troops. :clown:Quote:

also, econ21 requested screens of the auto resolve of Metz. sadly, it went badly for the reich:

So much for the threat to Bavaria. The massive French army that was marching on Genoa rebelled. It is now composed of three rebel units and is not besieging the city. I don't know whether to be happy as Lothar or angry as GM.
?!? When did it do that? When I played my battle they were still French...I think. In any case, be happy. France is still a threat enough :D
The most recent save (OK's battle) has them as a tiny stack of rebels. You can tell it's the same army because it's still commanded by the same Captain.
