Zack may be inactive here because he is active elsewhere - people do not have infinite attention span - so is there any other reason to vote him Pizza?

He's active enough to avoid the WOG. He's not inactive, he's lurking intentionally as opposed to other games. He also signed up to my next game, so he clearly has the time.
-
Re: The Revenge of Inishmore! (Sign-up)
If we're going the lurker route I'd prefer Centurion1 over either of the others just because he's been so obviously spotty with his presence on the forum. That might fit the pattern of the person who's seeming to fail to show up (to attack GH and me). But I'm not wedded enough to the idea not to vote Thermal Mercury again given a couple of lurker options already on the table.
vote: Thermal Mercury
Sorry dude you still strike me as scummy.

He was in Thermal's Identity Crisis game and didn't appear again after the initial day phase. I don't think he's posted much in this game either beyond signing up and such. I'd wager that he's WOG bait more than anything else, so a vote against him is pointless. I think the same probably applies to this Zack fellow too.
Looking back over the last few days or so and trying to immerse in the game a little more, one person's arguments stand out as peculiar to me, so I'mma vote: Thermal Mercury; to someone like me who isn't really 'in' this game, so to speak, your posts stand out alot, Thermy.

He's not WOG bait, he is placing enough votes to avoid the WOG.

Hmmm... if Warman was a vanilla townie disinterested in the game, he wouldn't bother coming back to the thread to throw in a vote and would leave himself to be WOG'd; continuously returning and slipping by in such a manner is pretty scummy behaviour. Either that or we have a townie with a very CBA attitude.
I take it you feel Warman or Zack are the best lynch options for this round then, Pizza?
-
Re: The Revenge of Inishmore! (Sign-up)
Could someone summarise the charges against TM for me? I'd appreciate it, I'm not really getting it at the moment.

I feel they are worth pressuring to see what they say. Don't know who the best lynch is yet.
But if they don't respond at all, then what we have is someone who doesn't care about the game, or a mafioso. Either case, a good default lynch.

This is why I favor Zack over Warman. I doubt you'll get a reaction from Warman, and he's not acting out of the norm.

Re: The Revenge of Inishmore! (Sign-up)
Hmm... What was I planning on doing before I got killed? Oh, that's right:
vote: YLC
And if the mafia feel like trying to kill me again, all I have to say is this: come take another shot at me, you cowardly scumbags! This time it'll take more than some cheesy europop and an ill-tempered simian to do me in, you can be sure of that...

I will follow ATPG's profound wisdom, and even out the tally a bit.
vote: Zack

Re: The Revenge of Inishmore! (Sign-up)
What do you think of the current lynch candidates Zack?
-
Re: The Revenge of Inishmore! (Sign-up)
Doing a summary thread now then.
-
Re: The Revenge of Inishmore! (Sign-up)
I'm liking ATPG's idea, at least with Thermal we can get a good discussion going Vote: TM
Now, if you would Zack, please contribute more.
-
Re: The Revenge of Inishmore! (Sign-up)
That should be plenty of votes on any given candidate. Any other suggestions?

The Wog-bait list --
Quote:
Close to WoG territory:
slashandburn (no votes)
Approaching WoG territory:
Yarapolk
Joooray
Centurion1 (all 1 vote)
I tend to believe slash's explanation that he didn't get a PM, so leave him out. I've already mentioned Centurion1 as an option due to his spotty presence on the forums and the spotty reliability of that one killer, but other than that I prefer people like Zack and Warman who've barely posted yet *have* voted to those who have not. At least until there's more of a pattern to go on.
@YLC -- I think you mean Winston Hughes, not Diamondeye.

Someone is missing frequently in kills, his lack of activity here could make it him, although there are probably better lurker choices, this is more or less a self preservation vote.
So, how exactly have my posts been scummy, Secura? :beam:

You actually provide the best argument for Zack first.
I'm torn between Zack, YLC, and Thermal. Zack and Thermal for type/style of activity and YLC because of some lingering taint from Sasaki's questions.
Thoughts from each please? Desperation and whining accepted, though the latter itself can be a reason to vote.
-
Re: The Revenge of Inishmore!
I think my style of activity has been somewhat more frequent than Zack's even if I haven't been that active.
I actually thought (compared to games such as star wars) that I was being fairly helpful in this game, but that's just me and my massive ego no doubt. :brood:

Re: The Revenge of Inishmore!
Renata stood up. She had been sitting down for a number of hours and she was starting to get sore. Deciding to take a quick walk, she exited out of the town and spotted her favourite landmark. The lighthouse on the hill. It was such a romantic place, she had always wanted to go there with her boyfriend...when she got one. She made the walk and decided to go up to the top, to see the amazing view. As she crested the tower, she sighed. This view was fit for a postcard. The waves lapped at the beach, which was actually sandy. The town was in a flat part amongst hills, the idealistic little community. She walked around the top of the lighthouse, drinking it in. After a while, she decided to head back to town. As she made her way to the stairs downward, she saw him. The man from her dreams, Mr. Right. She may have actually swooned then, as the next thing she knew, she was sitting against the wall, him standing over her, looking every bit a god. He stroked her face and she started to cry in joy. She embraced him, everything feeling perfect. He whispered in her ear,
"Even in death you serve, my love. You are so noble to sacrifice yourself so that others may live. A modern day saviour."
She looked at him confused. Then hey eyes glazed over, she got up and with a leap jumped off the lighthouse. As she fell, her thoughts where of her love. She would wait for him, in death's halls. Forever.
Her love watched as her falling body ignited and burnt away into nothingness. Renata was never seen again.

Please enlighten me, did I try to kill her at night, or did I push her off a lighthouse? I can't do both, person who guesses correctly gets to lynch me. ~

I never said you tried to killer her last night, and your attitude about it is borderline.
I am saying flatout that you killed her to save your sorry self, and are trying to cover it up. At best, your neutral, and are otherwise a threat to the town.

Re: The Revenge of Inishmore! [In Play]
I really do hate to side with a doomed man, but it just seems like a bad move on his part to kill off his number one opposition in the votes. There's such a slim chance it would've worked out for him, killing anyone else could have helped him a bit, but his number one opposition?
I'm also assuming that whomever did the action did the writeup, that might be worth looking at...
tl;dr, Not voting for TM, unlikely he did this, look at writeup.

You know this is WIFOM, Thermal and it isn't going to wash; it certainly looks like a setup, but this could be the response you want people to think, no? "Why would Thermal kill the person accusing him? Mafia wouldn't draw attention to themselves like that"... and so the town looks elsewhere, right?
Your attitude-laden responses really don't do you any favours in regards to the game, because you're only making yourself look shiftier. You can refute claims with a completely rational approach without resorting to sarcasm and such... it might actually help people believe your case.
