This is strange. I remember when i was ICQ it to CBR he was having trouble with one of the files and i wonder if that is the reason for the problems people are having. I try to rectify the bugs.

The mod is looking excellant, though I've still not had time to install (and add my stuff). However, I've noticed you have 259 lines in unit prod. I thought the max was 256, although my memories a bit hazy on that one. Not sure but this could be causing a bit of confusion in the unitprod files. However if I'm wrong and thats not the limit (which you may know better than I) do you or anyone know what is the limit. So I can stuff in as much as possible.

How come you have Pagan Assassins, Spies and Emissaries as seperate units? couldn't you save the slots by just using the regualar spies, etc.? I didn't see any technical difference between the pagan and regular units to warrent the pagan unit.
I'd like to find out, because you've reached the unit limit (i believe), and i want to add a few units.

The Pagan agents have new pieces on the map. I've been thinking about adding a Pagan folder to the pieces/agents to see if that works. That would save three spaces.

Could you repair that problem with Klibanophoroi? I thing that their high speed, MTLG and megastats would make Kataphraktoi useless.
IMHO Kataphraktoi are represented with Byzantine cavalry (let them be as fast as they are, give them lance for charging and round schield, increase stats to 8/3/5 and cost) and Klibanophori by Kataphraktoi (just make them equal to Late Royal Knights, both by speed and strengh, but let them be more numerous and expensive to reflect their high training to fight as one group).

Unfortunately I finished the patch before I saw this message. I might change some Klibanophori stats in the next patch but I'm not going to do everything you suggested - I am looking to add, not subtract. They are significantly more expensive so it doesn't make the Kataphractoi useless as such.Quote:

About the price, Kataphraktoi were elite of Byzantine army, not replacement of more expensive units. Klibanophori should be used to somehow deal with problem that usage of Kataphraktoi varied a lot. If you want to keep this unit, make Byzantine Cavalry slightly faster, give bow to Kataphraktoi (and make them as fast as Western knights) and remove it from Klibanophori. I know that I´m annoying, but keep in mind that I love your mod and want to help to make it even better.

What do you want to do with Klibanophoros. Did you find my suggestion about faster Byzantine Cavalry, Kataphraktoi with bows and Klibanophori without bows useful. If you don't plan to remove them, please don't give them bows and give it to Kataphraktoi instead.

Deadrunner, if you download gnome editor form the org and open up the unitprod file with it, You can very easily do this yourself. First locate the unitline you want to edit. Then you'll need to edit columns 50, 51 and 71 by simply adding the faction names in 50 (i.e which factions this unit is available to). Province name/s go in 51 which limits unit production to a/- prescribed province/s. Column 71 is for mercenary availability. eg Are they available as mercs and for which period However you have to add all the details in the format they appear in Unitprod. i.e FN_SCOTS (FACTION LABEL) ID_SCOTLAND (PROVINCE LABEL)You can try editing without gnome but its a bit tricky, no column headers or numbers,

Glad to hear that BKB. I´ve tried to be as polite as possible, but I know that it had to be annoying. I just dislike combinaton of bow and Klibanophori while Kataphraktoi were without bow. Idea of faster Byzantine Cavalry (I hate this name because Byzantines called themselves as Romans) was just to make them different from Kataphraktoi with bows.
I think that Trapezitoi is spelled good, but I don´t know this unit at all.

How do you like the other Portuguese units King? 4 exclusive units is pretty good for any faction - plus they'll get the Knights of Christ in Late.
I really like all different Steppe cavalry you added (Georgian, Bulgarian, Uzbek, etc.) I never liked the simple Steppe Cav and Steppe Heavy Cav. Not to be mean or a nitpick, but are you planning on redoing the Korean units review panel and description pic? Compared to some of the awesome custom ones you are using, they are a bit dispointing. Don't listen to me though, since your probelbly to busy. Keep up the great work

First time long time on this site I finally broke myself away from medmod to downloaded your MOD What I got was somthing else that will suck away more of my free time Im locked into to this thing It's fantastic. I zeroed in on Portugal, as it seems to be a fan fav. on this site, and I am having a hell of a time with the spanish and almos.
The Almugraves have quikcly become one of my all time favs. Im not a fan of spear chuckers, but I always respected them. Your Almugraves have a nice tight formation: Fight like mad dogs very versitile unit
I know that you stated prebat shields are a little off in the read txt. When I tried to push out the venetians I received Textures/Compmap/prebat Shields/Shl 22.bif. Hit enter to clear the message. Crahs to dt. I tried a couple of other factions getting the same message with a couple of differnet bifs.
I dug through the files quite a few times to see if I could sort this out before asking for help. If there is anyway around this any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
hey I'm having some difficulty with the deadpage. Because there are two different unit production files both with different units. About 13 different units for each one.
This presents a problem because each time the battle loads it goes down the list of units within the deadpage file and checks that with the unit production file. If it finds a unit call on the deadpage file that does not exist in the unit file it just stops completely and that's why you end up with dissappearing dead bodies.
The dilemma being that because there are multiple different units for the early and high the deadpage would be incompatible. This is because If I had the unique early unit in the deadpage file and you were playing high then it would stop looking once it got to them and you would be missing lots of bodies. The same goes for the high unique units while playing early.
So there is no way I can hack it, other than having two deadpage files, would I be able to create all the bodies but this is a hassle. by taking out the deadpage assignments of unique units of either the early or high versions I can have most of the bodies exist except for the era that was taken out. That, or I can do two dead page files. which you would then have to load seperately each time. Pretty crappy eh.

So I ran to dl super high, and I am glad I played it instead of studying. I really like be able to play as the Teutonic order. You never really hear much about the order beyond the Crusades in the Holy Land. Plus, this is only one of like two mods I think that has made them playable. Great work BKB.

hi BKB. I finally managed to get your super high mod today, and i must say, it is superb. It even manages to better super early, which i must say, was the most fun i have had in a while with medieval.
i havent managed to play it for a lot of time, only about 1-2 hours, but so far, i havent encountered any problems, so your latest patch must have done it.
just wondering, anything else planned in the future, you never know, little snippets of future updates might help gain the mod some more interest.
i was thinking, how about doing some new historic battles/campaigns. they are easy enough to do, and you could do some great battles with the amount of units and factions you have, you should give it a go some time.

Steppe merc, This problem still sounds like its an overfull unit prod file. Is the file content equal or under 256 lines(use gnome as it counts these for you). Not sure if BKB's 2nd patch addressed this as I've still not installed. Waiting for the smoke to clear and to finish a particularly good campaign I'm playing (BKB+MedMod+NaMod) before I commit to Superhigh (plus I'll have alot of work, re-adding my mods to it)
