Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
Tally:
dcmort93: 7 (Diamondeye, autolycus, Beefy187, landlubber, Skooma Addict, pevergreen)
Diamondeye: 5 (dcmort93, Csargo, Sasaki Kojiro, a completely inoffensive name, johnhughthom)
Abstaining: Nictel
-----------------------------
Tally is indeed correct. dcmort has been lynched; allow me an hour for the write-up.

Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
Well good job DE for getting me lynched. I think ya'll know who to lynch now. I just love how I'm at school all day hoping I'm safe and boom I'm dead, but lets see this "problem" get resloved.

Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
Day 9
The day had passed in a gloom. The crew was disheartened at the loss of the hero Link, who was widely viewed by even the GF as having the best interests of all of them at his many hearts- not to mention being one of the most skilled fighters on board. When his body was found, it was to everyone’s shock and dismay. Also missed was the white wolf Amaterasu, who had previously survived attempts on her life and had helped directly in catching some of the killers.
When the votes were made, Admiral Dane was called in to tally them.
As was the trend, he announced the outcome to the few crew members remaining in the chamber.
“Today, you have found to be guilty: Lyle Smithsonian, Special Operations soldier of the 07th Platoon. Smithsonian, please step forward.”
Lyle Smithsonian walked forward carefully. The dozen crew members that surrounded him stared suspiciously, but he did not know why. Smithsonian had been quiet, true, but that was simply how he was. He was not concerned with speaking; he always found actions to speak louder than words. But now he would be forced to speak to save his own life.
“What have I been found guilty of?”
“You are guilty of high treason and conspiracy against the Galactic Federation.”
“On what evidence?”
Admiral Dane looked perplexed for a moment.
“You have no evidence? No evidence at all. Here, I’ll come up with your best case FOR you. ‘He’s been quiet… TOO quiet.’ Sound just a bit cliché to you? You can’t sentence me to death without any evidence! Where is the justice in that?”
“This council has spoken, Smithsonian. You are the most suspect.”
“Yes, the Council of Villains has spoken, just as that penguin guy said. We all know there are no true heroes left! Link and Amaterasu were the last of them. As soon as one of the killers gets the upper hand, I know you’re all going to turn on each other like foxes and wolves!”
“And you, Lyle, claim to be different?”
“Not at all. If you think I’m going to stand here and be put to death, you’ve got another thing coming!”
Smithsonian whipped out his assault rifle and activated the stealth function on his blue combat armor. The light bended around his silhouette and he was nearly invisible to the naked eye. He began spraying the crew with fire from his assault rifle, and kept moving quickly.
Unfortunately for Smithsonian, there were many crew members who had found the benefit of a Thermal Visor over the course of the trip, and upon turning it on they could see him clearly. He was quickly swarmed, subdued, and taken into custody. The stealth field dropped.
“Let me go! This is injustice!”
Smithsonian struggled furiously, but was unable to throw off the guards holding him down.
“I will try to make this as painless as possible.”
Admiral Dane stood before Smithsonian and readied himself. He pulled his leg back in preparation, and then unleashed a devastating kick to Smithsonian’s chin. The force of the blow was such that it snapped the soldier’s neck and killed him instantly.
The same fate had befallen Lyle Smithsonian as every member of the 07th Platoon before him. In the future, the number would be known as cursed, and avoided by what remained of the GF military.

Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
Is Chaotix trying to teach us a lesson here?
That lurkers don't immediately equate to mafia?
No, no way.
-
Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
Well, that was a terrible round.
DE needs to die tonight.
-
Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
I respectfully disagree, Sasaki. Somehow, an innocent scan is worse than no scan at all? I don't understand what people are thinking for my lynch to be an actual possibility.
Listen; We need to lynch Pikachu, Gorea and the HYUK-thingamabob. That requires three succesful lynches. We're down to 12 players, and it's a night phase. We can't afford to just lynch willy-nilly.
I say JHT should attack Csargo again. If I'm to die, it'd like it to be at the hand of scum, at least. I think Nictel is right in thinking we should be looking at people who haven't been replaced, but we can't take anything for granted. I remember how that went in Daggers - and in this game, I'm on the other side of the battlefield. I don't want someone lurking to victory.
I think we should look into Nictel, pever and landlubber especially. I am willing to give Beefy and Skooma the benefit of doubt for the moment because Beefy was in a very early three-way tie, and Skooma was scanned by Seon as inactive twice.
-
Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
Oh god... I once had faith in my ability to detect mafia, but this has been an eye-opener.
Every player which I have suspected has been innocent except CH...
This is all your fault, lurkers! How can I possibly tell when you make no noise?!
-
Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
This much lurking is how I've been playing quite a bit recently due to me being away from a pc for more than 12 hours a day most days

Super secret analysis gives:
Chance of being phazon corrupted: Chance of being bowser corrupted:
Csargo 13,67 14,11
dcmort93 19,44 0
Diamondeye 8,33 11,67

johnhughthom 51,78 Probably of team BOWSER
landlubber 15,89 Probably of team PHAZON
pevergreen 24,49 Probably of team BOWSER
Beefy187 49,22 Probably a serial killer
Pikachu == dcmort93
Vote: dcmort93
If anyone can take anyone of the list, do so, we can have pikachu in no time.
I don't know about what went on behind the scenes in the (obviously infiltrated by now) town group, but unless something major (and obviously wrong) was on dcmort there, it seems that this post along with Diamondeye's defense of himself changed the bandwagon. Did people honestly buy this case? :shocked2:  Also you could have lynched john... :juggle2: Now it is possible he attacks Csar. Hopefully Csar kicks his ***.

Hey, that post specifically said there was a 19.44% chance of dcmort being Pikachu and a 0% chance of being Bowser, which means an 80.56% chance that he was not Pikachu and a 100% chance that he was not Bowser. Don't get upset with Nictel for being right!
-
Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
Yeah, and re-reading the start of that post:
That makes no sense. The person the replacement replaced could have attacked. They are not innocent just because they are replacements, as can be found in whatever that game was where it happened.

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?
WHAT IS THIS BS?
YOU WERE SCUM AND WE WERE GOING TO LYNCH YOU, AND THE WAGON WAS DERAILED BY A MEANINGLESS NON-COVER-ROLE-PIERCING INVESTIGATIVE RESULT.
SO WHAT THE **** ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?

Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
I'm not sure what the heck happened to make us lynch fluffy and dcmort over JHT and DE, but I'm unhappy about it.

-
Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
There is at least some evidence that DE might be innocent, but with Dcmort we had nothing either way. It's hard to convince to lynch someone like that when there are others that are more likely to be mafia.
-
Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
God, you might as well lynch by random.org if you're going to do that.

And the same for Doopliss. Samus didn't play half bad either, come to think of it.

Were it not for the fact that my freaking role makes me HAVE to want town to win I would definitely feel the same way. I'm happy you went Mafia Ironside. Resilient underdog Mafia play moves me greatly and I also have little patience for townie networks that blow great leads.

I don't get what you mean by this exactly. That wasn't what I was saying at all.

Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
He's saying if you rule out people in a multi-faction game on the basis of them not being ONE faction, you may as well send it to random.org because it's not logical. Scummy is scummy. /is helpful

Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
I think it's likely DE isn't Bowser or Phazon though. Again it's nothing confirmed, but that's why chances are someone who we know nothing about is more likely than someone who seems not to be Bowser of Phazon.
-
Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
Lazy serial killer seeking discussion to help him pick a target tonight.

:wall:
I made a lengthy and solid case on DE. His continued touting of investigation results that don't say anything about him is further evidence.
If you have a gut read of him as innocent that is not "playing the odds" like people were talking about. Which I also disagree with since obviously in thread behavior affects the odds, which is the whole point of the game otherwise we would random.org and base things entirely off of night results.

I had revealed to Seon just before he was killed when he had initially put suspicion on me. Had anyone else asked me to reveal I would have gladly done so but alas no one did
