It seems like an explanation about game mechanics is required:
Everybody who sleeps with the prostitute will get a pm, it doesn't matter if that person was going to perform a night action or not. The prostitute also gets a pm with the results of the night actions.
In fact, the pm to the player concerned and the mentioning of strange sounds in the public thread, is just me having some fun :jester:
Some interesting developments, a host who sends useless PMs around, Sasaki makes a claim that may not be a lie, prole gets the axe for acting too suspicious after getting two votes in round one, that was a bit too much for the mafia girl, eh? My feeling spoke again and said your accusations of Sasaki were meant to get him lynched instead of yourself, might be wrong but it's more than I usually have in round one so my vote stays. The PM exchange thing was also quite ridiculous which underlines my suspicion.
damn this game goes fast...
I guess I should make an appearance to show my support for Andres’ game. 8 pages of posts take out a chunk of office time, but hey, this is mafia.
The post I found most interesting is this one:
Nice Sasaki… It brought a smile to my face on a rather hectic morning.Quote:

This tells me that we could be dealing with players expecting to be investigated on the first night. Now, if we could imagine ourselves as detectives, who would we investigate first? It would be the players we think would be hard to detect by other means.
My short list would be (in no particular order):
SasakiAlso who would block Sasaki on the first night? It would be those familiar with the game, ergo: who would not?

I should vote one of those I listed to show that I believe my own reasoning, but I think I will go a little crazy and vote: Husar.. just to see how much trouble I will get.:beam:
First of all, I've said it numerous times. its "pever". No capital.
I dont call you gLeNN do I? etc etc
Now about you glen:
I dont hold grudges, I've been mafia twice in big games (excluding Capo 1).Quote:

Holding grudges, IMO, is against the spirit of the game.
As for non-intellectual posts, at this point in the game, I have no amazing ability to pick out mafia, I'm not a good mafia hunter. Throughout the game, I sometimes get hints. I dont believe I've ever lead the town to a mafia member.
This is about as long as my posts go. I manage to say everything I want in a short amount of text.
That'll do.
That was a very begrudging reply, Pevergreen.

Sigurd, you bring an obvious and choice method of arousing discussion to the thread.
Who must be investigated and discovered as a priority - and I must say that I agree quite heartily with your list - apart from of course wishing that I were first, that my innocence may be proved.
As for the prostitute block.. I understood Andres as having sent a PM to Sasaki about the prostitute as a joke - therefore we can't know for sure whether Sasaki was actually blocked - or if the prostitute actually blocked anyone.
Please clarify this Andres before anybody takes it as evidence.
----
As for why there was only one kill, the most apparent reason to me is pure inactivity - considering there is only a strict number who are posting here currently.
Not as a joke actually. Like I said, anybody who gets visited by the prostitute, will get a pm. It doesn't matter if that player was going to perform a night action or not.Quote:

Just so nobody misunderstands. What I meant, but clearly could not express sufficiently in the English known to me was; if I were in charge of investigations I would have investigated those people on the list I put in my previous post. I also believe that the people on my list would expect to be investigated early if not in the first round, including me.

Is this list based on experience at playing mafia only ? or something more ?
I have an inherent distrust of sasaki probably just from the only mafia game i have played.
So if we were expecting 3 kills and only 1 happened at least 1 'mafia' didn't hand any orders in (one character can kill or investigate) so should we be looking suspicously at inactivity ?
I'm a man of my word; Glenn spoke up, so:
unvote: Glenn for now, and I'll join CR's bandwagon:
vote: GeneralHankerchief
Hmm... 37 players, 20 lynch voters. Quiet folks had best speak up and take a voting stand soon, lest they be suspects tomorrow.
Why is everyone voting for GH?
Just because. Some people are pretending this first round of votes is more significant than it is. But it's the same crap shoot all first rounds are
this is based on no in game evidence, I just think he may want more time to iron out the rules to KotR's sucessor...
Vote:TinCow
also, he's on sigurds list, which I have to trust for now....

I'm still waiting for you to keep up your end of the role reveal. For you to not keep up your end tells me you were just trying to steamroll a newbie. Such activity is quite scummy.Quote:

I haven't seen where it's been posted anyway, so I'm not even sure what you meant by public knowledge.
This post has been made groundless by the above post. Later I will comment.
(It was regarding Proletariat and her role.)
Yes but you did not answer me until I challenged you. I regard such behavior as scummy and suspicious. You challenged me, I answered it, and then you made a post without acknowledging your end of the deal.Quote:

Challenged me? You said posting the role pm was pointless since it was public knowledge. I didn't bother posting it then, and you think that's scummy?Quote:

Alright.. First Seamus has been killed.
Now it is time to look at who is going to die next.
Nobody is paying attention to the vote.
Now before GeneralHankerchief is killed off by a few shameless bandwagoning suspects - let's ask ourselves why he deserves death.
If GeneralHankerchief dies, and he was a pro-townie or a townie, then the Mafia will have succeeded in killing possibly the two most experienced, knowledgeable players in the first round.
That will mean a large step towards defeat, Taormina!
So now I have reason to cast a vote - in order to save the life of an excellent player before he is bandwagoned suspiciously from the game.
Vote: CrazedRabbit
Like most criminals, you have avoided the limelight briskly and successfully started a bandwagon with Kukrikhan why, taking into account my reasons for GeneralHankerchief's usefulness, would you want him dead as a random vote?
I too can not figure out why GH has gotten votes. No one's explanation has satisfied me.Quote:

1.) I want the detective to pick a random turn to investigate us. There is suspicion that mafia are laying low so they turn up innocent. So, if he picks a random turn, that minimizes that possibility.
2.) I do not want the detective to publicly reveal if we turn up innocent. He can not reveal himself so early in the game. I don't know about you but I am happy to be lynched if it protects the detective. If one of us comes up guilty, I am sure the detective will use his best judgement on whether to reveal or not.
So Proletariat, I have laid my cards out for all to see. Will you do the same?
Sure. I'm a townie. Investigate away, detective.
