Re: Shakespearean Mafia [In Play]
Well, that is the cat out of the bag, how fantastic... there's no real use denying it, is there?
It is true, I am the original playwright, seeking revenge because his idea was stolen. When I recieved the Role PM, I had to ask several questions as to what my goals were, and upon finding them out, I decided to ignore them outright and play the game as though I was town. I was apparantly supposed to kill every single player in the game, and to be quite frank... I didn't want to do that. Call it metagaming, call it whatever you like, that's just the way that the cookie crumbled.
You see, Centurion's answers to my questions essentially came across in a manner I did not wish to play in after the Shadow Fort fiasco (losing the game in two night phases is awesome, right?); I haven't processed a single kill order not out of being lacadaisical or outright bone-idle, but because I didn't want to. I was going to help the town uncover the mafia, and then turn myself over to them at the end, a la taka in Noblesse Oblige.
Of course, you're probably all going to think that this is WIFOM or just outright bovine excrement, but it's all entirely true; if Centurion won't clarify after my lynch, I'm sure he will tell you at the end of the game how many kills I requested.
Nevermind, eh? It was good breaking the rules while it lasted! ¬_¬

Re: Shakespearean Mafia [In Play]
"I am guessing you have investigated me? I know I have been roleblocked the last 3 nights."
Quote from Beskar. Yes I am an investigator, I may as well reveal because it's blatantly obvious to anyone reading the thread. The question is why would Beskar assume I would have him roleblocked after investigating? His defence is that there has was one kill last night, with him being roleblocked and Secura not killing he can't be mafia. That of course is assuming both are telling the truth. Thoughts?
Oh, and if there is anyone out there with a defence ability....

Did I not suggest that you keep your identity secret though, and announce investigation results through proxy? Beefy was suggested and he's dead, yes, but there must be others you've contacted, trust and could have utilised instead?

He was roleblocked on Night One and Night Two... he might have guessed it would continue, who knows? With the absence of Sasaki and Pizza, Beskie's a prime target for metagaming, you can't deny that.

I don't really have any reason to lie; unlike Shadow Fort where my WIFOM was necessary to help Psychonaut out, there's nobody else on my side in this game, no matter how much I wished to play as such. Lying doesn't benefit anyone and will only serve to confuse you all, which hasn't been my intention. I want the town to win.

The second night's writeup suggested that the town might have a second protection role, as someone made the target wear a hard-hat before going on stage for rehearsal. They know you're an investigator and should begin communications with you as soon as possible.

He thought I had investigated him as he had been roleblocked constantly, why would he think that if he were innocent?

Beefy is a reliable proxy for that purpose.
I can understand that it might be difficult to trust me considering my role, but that's all it was, a role; there is a difference between me playing out a role (by the rules or no) and me as a person.

I would be open to letting you live, as I said though there is no other obvious target. Except Beskar, thoughts?

I would have been happy to act as proxy, I suppose I was the first you told, and I saved you from being lynched. Oh well, too late now.

There's no point now, after the public reveal... I'd be dead by the next day phase.
The mafia now know who I am and are probably aware of the threat I pose, so I'm likely to be killed just as much as you are; I'd prefer that any remaining protectors would keep you safe as it's integral to town victory, and I'll chalk this up as yet another lesson of adjusting to the Gameroom.
I would suggest that you investigate Beskar... the lynch of atheotes lends some credibility, but you want to be sure no matter what, right?

Perhaps the mafia didn't know each other. Strangely that often helps mafia rather than hinder them, I have won games as mafia based on not knowing my partner.

Re: Shakespearean Mafia [In Play]
Since it appears that the vote is between JHT and Secura, I
Vote: Secura
It's a shame I can't suspect CB.

It's a plausible idea, if it wasn't for this post:

Actor2: Whatever.
This would suggest that the mafia know one another, as one person is chastising another for not doing what he was supposed to; I interpreted this as one of the mafia failing to process their night order.

Lynch me next if I'm wrong. I'm curious TM, did you not believe me or do you have another reason not to vote Secura.
I forgot about that, I was rather focusing on the other part of the message where you were explaining what was missing.
vote: secura

Secura isn't Mafia, at least not according to the info we have. SK isn't Mafia. Let's not be too premature chanting about our victory.

lmao...
sorry.

Re: Shakespearean Mafia [In Play]
Yups, I'm the playwright, seeking vengeance, yada yada yada.
The town would still have to lynch me to win, however; I was going to utilise what abilities I have to nail the mafia and then hand myself over, so to speak. Karma's a female dog, though.

Re: Shakespearean Mafia [In Play]
Vote Secura
SKs are always a dangerous thing to have lurking around in these kind of games.

Yup, that's totally why I've been night-killing every single phase...

Re: Shakespearean Mafia [In Play]
However it is far better to knock off a sk then it is to kill off a pure townie. Even if you have not being killing your ultimate objective is to get rid of us all and we only have your word that you were going to give yourself at a latter stage.

Re: Shakespearean Mafia [In Play]

Carl departs with a final curious look at Pug
A few minutes later Carl has gathered the entire crew and they are all waiting expectantly.
Steven: So Pug what do you have to tell us?
Pug: Wells sir it be apprentice playwright Secura.
Steven: Yes what about her.....
Pug: She's got a diary sir--
Steven: Wait let me cut you off there, why do you know about this diary.
Pug: Well i was in her room......
Steven: why were you in her room????
Pug: I uh uh uh
Beskar comes striding out already established securaly as Steven's new sycophant.
Beskar: I can vouch for Secura's moral character. She's my bestest buddy in the whole wide world.
Secura: Thanks Beskie!!!!!!
Pug: But sir it be true i has the journal here.
Steven: did you read it?
Pug: I cant's read sir.

Carl: come along i'm to dispose of you.
Secura: NEVER!
With that Secura threw herself from the LEDGE!
Carl (walking down the stairs): Secura, its only like a five foot stage.
Secura: Dam.
The chase continues. Suddenly as they run outside a boy on a flying bicycle with a strange creature in the front seat runs them over.
nah not really. they got hit by a carriage.
Steven heard the news that he lost another assistant
Steven: Crap Ryan's dead. Who wishes to be my new assistant!
The crew backs away nervously knowing the fate of the previous two.......
Secura (lynched): SK confused scum
Slashandburned (wogged): townie

tbh i thought you had a more devious purpose when you never sent any orders or used your special......
-
Re: Shakespearean Mafia [In Play]
LOL, nailed two roles right off, still have a bit of it left. Well, I'll stake my life right now on Beskar being neutral, although he does sound similar to Netherworld and a few past games, we should wait and watch. Apparently, the mafia need to send in same orders for it to get processed, so it's possible one of our more inactives is the final mafia.
But, then I thought Atheotes was innocent, so maybe I should just assume that anyone I think guilty is innocent, and those I think innocent are guilty. Either way, Beska'rs still agood lynch if all else fails, as he's always helpful.

Yes it is. Good for him, but perhaps not for the majority of us the remaining players...

If it wasn't for him voting atheotes, I would probably end up with suspicions on him due to yours and Secura's post, TM. :beam:

In actual fact it is because I have realised I have falling into a pattern of unhelpful townie and I should change that.
