Jihad armies have only taken a cuman castle, a very minor force/jihad and a very unimprtant target.
Other regions along my marching path have been taken by Non Jihads. One Venetian region, One HRE ( Vienna i think ), arguable one hungarian two turns off the path.
Now, i still want/need to know... Can i use siege engines constructed by Jihad armies to capture non targets with non-jihad forces?
Jihad sieged on its path that is not direct, but the one ive used with all my forces. @Myth
Will play just before i go off to get my Diablo 3 Copy :D

No to the siege engines - you cannot attack, lay siege, assault or anything else with Jihad/Crusade forces if the city isn't on your list or your actual target, or the armies are not in the way.

Ugh, bad timing. I am leaving town for several days very shortly and won't be able to do any work on the Org while I am gone. I also have way too much work-work to clear before I leave to be able to spend time on this now.

Its okay, but that is a bit of a problem to us, as that is two turns of action we should have been able to be taking in relation to that capture.

I thought people knew Hamburg had been taken? I thought I had sent out recent map information to my team members since Hamburg is a neighbouring region for me? :P
To be honest, I personally could not take any action - neither me nor @Mithridate (as far as I am aware of) have any from of suitable siege equipment in the area to capture eachother's settlements so I myself feel as if I am in a stalemate in the region.. >.<

I took that post to mean he was going towards Hamburg, but, as I said, no biggie. I have just been very confused in general with how this jihad is working. I respect trying to include the mechanic myth, but so far it has been more of a headache than seems worth it, both when my team and the other have used it.

It makes the game more unpredictable and enjoyable for me as a player, though the rules do need some refining. I want to congratulate Mithridate on being a top-notch general thus far in this game, truly a great addition to the Throne Room. Overall the Muslim team has been disadvantaged If I do say so myself, but this recent turn of events makes the game more close which is IMO better fun for all of us.
London is still under siege and I cannot reach the besieging forces in time to slaughter them.

i love fighting in italy somehow have a deep rooted love for that area. and honestly despite the onslaught of the entire west the situation there is really good. tho ancona is pretty much gone was just too much of a liability but other than that the situation still is pretty good right now

An english army sieging the danish capitol was ahnialated by two members of our great ruling family and their most devout warriors. Despite being few, the slav mercenaries and three units of horse archers won a great victory in the name of allah! Still the land mourns, one of the great men was impaled on stakes and died the martyr death as he bravely charged the vile english longbowmen...
Further west the strange plague that affects all english siege engines spread to the french, whom somehow find themselves deep in brittain!?
No matter, for truly god is great!

Well...
All I can say is thank goodness for night fighter! Course, pulling out all the stops on battle ai cheese helps too. XD
The siege of Venice was broken, and two Kwarezmian armies were wiped out. A small force was able to sneak past the Crusader fort wall to assist in the final battle, and for strange ai fighting city reasons Ibn Tegin Mohammed retreated with his large cavalry force, and is unable to move next turn.
Still, hardly any Venetian troops survived, and with Ibn still retaining his full stack, and Seljuk and Crusader troops swarming in, Venice is unlikely to last much longer unless it is reinforced!

i somewhat was curious about the upshot n how that went down although it was pretty obvious anyway already with the general s night ability still had some faith left tho but yea faith lost. was just another suicide mission with the general s nighty ability. but anyways had the 3 kwarz armies in the region for 3 seasons now so anything was less worse than the troops simply defecting. the only thing im curious about now is how any troops got through that crusader fort wall there coz that really is just another flaw then of the entire game. this wall was tight nothing but dead zones there no holes whatsoever i double checked this so if any troops got through there it really is another flaw of the game. im somewhat curious about that so. but weird enough thats actually the only really bizarre thing here. coz 3 major armies lead by multiple heavy kwarz general cav plus some cav support and psyched morality jihadi infantry and one army basically totally cav with tons of horse archers down gainst an overall inferior garrison with the 2 balista victim to the horse archers already if anything went down regular and with 1 general n 2 cav militia in cav total is just natural here with that game. thats how it is weird n strange but natural. but whatever was on the other side myself before already espc back in glorious achievments where i still remember some heavy stuff there where the germans were victim to the same situations more than once so yea it is what it is. natural. but still weird. back in the days those of the Brits that were with us that were heavily into soccer just stood up when their teams lost gainst one that was way worse on paper n said -funny old game funny old game- that probably sums it up

There is a weird thing, maybe a glitch but maybe not, where you can slip a unit through forts to reinforce an army on the other side. That was just one unit though, the rest I picked up with my fleet since you guys were kind enough to leave it alone.
I wouldn't worry too much though silver, I'm pretty much going bankrupt and there are maybe a couple hundred men left in venice now. Meanwhile, there are a lot of armies coming in to help, but no siege equipment anywhere for us.

just remembering some days back. my brain is prolly just too low on high glyc carbs but anyways so just out of curiosity is there anything deeper to that -funny old game- thing coz we never really got it when the Brits came up with that. i aint into soccer just curious about what this actually meant coz they also came up with that when things got hot n heavy up front and so far the web just gave me soccer nonsense. There is one way to bypass forts with armies that i know... heck anything but mountains and the very square taken by forts/armies/hubs.
Load ur army on a ship, then order march FROM THE SHIP. Will ignore all zones of control (red zones/locked down zones)
Its ofc a bug, obviously!

Units walk strait through to reinforce an army right on the other side. Or at least it did when I clicked it. Never seen it before actually, but I was hunting for anything I could throw in, and had 1 army of spear militia on the other side of the fort wall. I selected it, it showed a green path to my arm,y I clicked, and it went. I then had ~5 units arrive by ship, plus the near full stack in venice.
The army in venice wasn't top notch, but those kwaz mercs were pretty weak, and my spearmen were taking them out pretty well, especially when cav charges in the rear started routing everything. As for the kwaz cav, they ran up in front of my spear wall and died to xbows.
Basically wash and repeat for battle 2, then battle three I sallied and the enemy army retreated strait off, in that strange way it does sometimes when it has a high cav content against a siege.

Muslims: Need to hold Rome, Venice, Leon, Paris, Hamburg, London.
So yes, it's a target city. I thought the Catholics had this game in the bag but you guys really started to turn things around!

This one is confused and would apreciate a demonstration, i view any crossing by armies on controled zones without first beating the offending thing to be a bug and therefore to be illegal

Well, I went back and got a screenshot that is the equivalent of what I did, although the situation was a bit different directly around venice when the move actually took place.
If it is deemed illegal, I could replay my turn, although that might create significantly different results as to the battle for venice, one way or potentially even the other.
All I did is right click from what is currently shown in the shot, and the unit went right over there and merged with the unit on the bridge.

As I don't have (or feel like adding) Teutonic campaign on my computer (the first disk is in storage) can you just posts screen shots and explain what is happening in them? Trying to guess how you've played something is too time consuming. And just because you can do something in a game does not make it a feature instead of a bug. Resource forts is the most obvious bug.

never heard that units dont respect fort dead zones when reinforcing. never had this before. anyway i think that this is wrong. its just another glitch of the game. its okay that Nightbringer did all good with that but from now on we rather respect the dead zones of a fort. its obvious what the dead zones are so we can just respect those even if we theoretically had not to. whats a fort good for otherwise
same is true for situations with ships. i had this before and that for sure is wrong

I had to reinstall windows the other night, and, along with it, M2TW, Kingdoms and SS 6.3 and 6.4. For some reason, when I try to load my turn, the loading bar moves along, but then I am taken straight back to the main menu screen. Is this because I am missing an additional patch or file? :inquisitive:

I think Silver's suggestion should be in place for all games - no crossing fort-controlled zones without taking the fort, even if the game will let you.
