Re: MTW2 Multiplayer Campaign
Sorry for the mess...
The original save I posted is the right one...
What got me is that the .zip is correctly labeled but once unzipped it appears as MPC-1112...
So I really played the right save...
Here is the link for Ichigo (PM sent)

Re: MTW2 Multiplayer Campaign
Crap, that's worrying. I'm quite sure I fixed the naming convention. Let me check and make sure I didn't upload the wrong %^^$&ing one a second time.
:egypt:
-
Re: MTW2 Multiplayer Campaign
That seems to be the correct one, as best I can reconstruct. I fixed the name for the .zip but saved over the old save for the .sav to try to prevent confusion (Mission failed!).
Anyway, proceed as normal, nothing to see here.

Russia's Turn
http://www.totalwar.org/patrons/pbm/MPC1112-6a.zip
Not sure why but when I came to upload there was already a saved turn numbered MPC1112-6 so I was forced to add an 'a' suffix to get it accepted.

Re: MTW2 Multiplayer Campaign
I think we would all appreciate if you could play your turn within the 48 hour limit.

Re: MTW2 Multiplayer Campaign
He usually checks regularly... Let's give him a day or two... Otherwise FH might have his password and I could sub for him as ally...
-
Re: MTW2 Multiplayer Campaign
72 hours have passed, his turn can be skipped.
Password is 1
(and it is in this thread already)
-
Re: MTW2 Multiplayer Campaign
To be fair to him, I am going to sub... Will post real soon...

Skipping = submit after 48 hours.
Skip = load turn, enter pw, end turn, save, upload.

-
Re: MTW2 Multiplayer Campaign
Ok, although I'll gladly defer if Didz comes back and resumes play, for now it looks like I'll be playing Scotland. Tristan, if you don't mind I'd like to take the current turn. I've also sent a pm.
Anyone well versed in Scotland's diplomatic stances is welcome to pm me.

Then as its most long standing ally, I'll PM you on your situation

Re: MTW2 Multiplayer Campaign
General happenings in Scotland:
England attacked Scotland and beat them handily, forcing them to a hopeless last stand at the coast of Edinburgh, when Scotland had half the army strength and no funds.
During that English push however, France had crept up the channel and taken London and Nottingham with its crusader forces that were destined for Antioch. England defeated Scotland at the battle, forcing them to retreat with almost no forces left, but the very same year France took York, which was England's last province. Denmark had sent troops as well, but those did not reach Scotland in time to help.
Amazingly, France lost nothing to desertion due to taking a province each turn and garrisoning its forces inside.
Since, Scotland has been rebuilding, but efforts to ask the French to return several Island territories have been outright refused, and one could argue that Scotland is now France's little vassal kept at arm's length.
-
Re: MTW2 Multiplayer Campaign
Hmmm...now I see why didz hasn't been playing. :clown:
-
Re: MTW2 Multiplayer Campaign
Indeed, Scotland was excommunicated during the Island wars and when it was ready to rebuild, the King noticed that the French had taken Dublin and gifted it to the pope rather than giving it to Scotland.
The Scottish king however was not one to be meddled with and took Dublin back from the papacy, having nothing to lose.

Not at all true... Didz and I had an understanding that territories would be bought back which required him to fill his coffers first...
Now York and Nottingham have been returned to the Scottish crown... for the lowly sum of 500 per 10 turns... with troops in the bargain...
I don't know what Didz had in the books for the future however... Only thing I knew was that he wanted to negociate with the Pope in the hope of ending his excomm...
-
Re: MTW2 Multiplayer Campaign
Seems like that was the only way to avoid being completely marginalized after the English betrayal of the Anglo-Scottish peace deal.

Its been 72 houirs, so it has to be skipped rather than played since he has not arranged for a permanent sub.

A turn delayed another day may not be all that much, but add all those together and some needing more than a day, and this hotseat is never going anywhere unfortunately.
It was clear from the outset that turns would have to be played within 48 hours or be skipped. Thus far, its been rather lax on some occassions, but in the interest of all players involved, we need to keep to that limit. If you cannot play a turn within the 48 hour limit, have someone else play it for you within that limit. Just make sure that you announce it in the thread beforehand so people are aware.
Also, I would very much appreciate if players who already know in advance that they cannot play their turn could ask for it to be skipped or played by another. That has been done avidly in the past and has kept the game flowing rather nicely.
