Probably the biggest letdown for me in regards to Rome 2 has been the accompanying soundtrack. That's not to compare it to Rome 1, and nit pick about how great tracks like Divinitus are better than so and so, blah blah blah. But I find the Rome 2 soundtrack to be pretty bland. Most of the time during the campaign map you're not even sure if anything is playing. It can go from really quiet to really loud in a matter of seconds, even when it's not feeding off cues. In the battles it's very repetitious, and you get the same war horn song every time.
With all that said I've been really enjoying Rome 2 with The Dark Knight soundtrack playing alongside it. There's a real element of fullness to the sound that makes the battles in Rome 2 seem even more meatier. Might be a strange choice, but I really dig it.

Working weekend, big deadlines hit on Friday. Up late working on things, listening to what I can only call "moody white people music."

Interesting band. Recorded in 1974. Originally unreleased because they refused to change their name at Columbia Records' request. Released in 2009, with a documentary about them in 2012 if memory serves.

Tracks: 3,4,5 & 10 are the standouts imo.
The "Pure Heroine"-album from Lorde. This album has helped salvage 2013 for me, with the Marshall Mathers LP2 being the sole major standout until now. Potential ahoy!
