To quote myself:
I'm sorry, I was just watching some paint dry. It was more interesting than what you were saying. :beam:
You don't scare me with your silly bleached hair and strange birthmarks on your face. In fact, I think its all fake. You're really a woman!

hmm never thot about that...maybe...just maybe...the celts were all the she-males who were pissed off all the time because of their period. But they were so ANGRY, the Romans put them down as men in history, and as for those naked warriors, perhaps transvestites?

Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
It was all plastacine and a clever use of mirrors (?)

Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
Maybe they were a civilization entirely composed of hermaphrodites.

Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
Since Roman women are so like men in their appearance, I will forgive you for not being able to make the distinction, however obvious it may be for the rest of us. Or is it perhaps just a sign of you being jealous of our big and manly bodies, and you're just trying to project? I think that must be it! :beam:

Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
also, being swamped with work my aar and btsh, I am looking for a volunteer who would continue TCMs great work. I will delete his old page after the volunteer copies an pastes everything into a new thread with the same name and same setup so they can control the edits, any takers?
-
Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
okay library check event check, now for the history and rules will be displayed at the start of this council where everything gets reformed.

The format of the Phalerium is really quite easy to follow; but I am available through IM to give any tips or answer questions re: how/why I did things the way I did. Absolutely feel free to edit and change it anyway you want since it will be your labor of love now :2thumbsup:
A note though: whoever takes up the job will need to keep pestering legion commanders for updates and special awards. I realize that not all battles would have outstanding heroes, etc; but I wish we could have had more things like the hasta pura etc. awarded to individual units since there are plenty of basic awards for things such as simply being the first into/over an enemy wall (which happens in every siege battle).
Ok, I'm gone from the game.....again.....seriously, like, for real this time :whip:

Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
I'll do it, if you want. I can do it at the same time as the Campvs Mativs, which needs updating anyway come to think of it.

Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
Read the Curia, you'll have enough to do with being chased by another TCM successor, who hates you ^^

Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
Since we seem to be in a lull moment, and with the LOTR-PBM finishing, I'd like to point out that anyone bored, in the possession of M2TW and willing to participate in a new PBM, to join Magna Carta in the Throne Room
A new PBM by Ignoramus, quite straightforward, no mods and playing England in M2TW :)
-
Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
I'll let you off, Mini, but if you want to advertise something like that, do it by PM. We don't do it in the WotB or LotR forums, so we must follow the trend here. Ta

Wow! I have the most CPs along with you, Navarro? ~ I would never have guessed that.
Not that I complain, of course... ~;p
-
Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
ya well like i told you guys i would have to go off minimums to transfer.
TCV your a dux which takes a minimum of 20 CPs plus you were a consul which means you would of had to of had 40 CPs 40+20 im no scientist but i think its 60. hehe.
remember though "currency" speaking lol, its like Battle Points were the American dollar in the early 90s, worth much more as they take more working for. CPs are the dollar today, all over the place and get you little by little.

Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
You sure it's not just that I'm such an awesome character...?

Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
Character Points are like a form of money. Roman Senators were corrupt. So if you role played a senator, while adding your CP's up you might make a "Mistake"
-
Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
aww ya that one initially flew over me hehe.
-
Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
hmmm seems rather strange to me, I had presumed that the actions of player's characters would translate into new character points and change their ranks, rather than changing their character points according to their rank.
but I can't complain that I have 40.
edit: strange, Blasio has 40 and 60 CPs
-
Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
there is no minimum CP fer quaestor which is what you are according to the old rules so i couldnt give you them...i told you these transfers would be hard. I figure when your prov governing runs out if you want i can make you a dux again and you can get 20 more points plus a different choice in career?

Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
im taking the save in like a half hour...one of you Legio III co-commanders needs to take the inititive and just take syrikousai already. wheres potocello at?
-
Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
Can't we auto win it? I dnt like the idea we're caputring all Sicily just like that. It's meant to be a war against the Carthies, not against the Carthies, the Syracusians and ther Mamertines all in one go
-
Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
AWW yes we did discuss that. Okay look im gonna end the turn and auto that and make a gov type 4 there as part of our event. Plus if legio III doesnt get moving, C.Legio I is gonna have a tough fight against pretty much 2 full stacks. So ya im takin GM matters into my own hands. Potocello and his 2nd/3rd in commands will still get their CPs though yes.

Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
Personally I think we should be having a massive argument in the Curia about this-and our world opinion should go down a lot. We've waged war with Carthage, ok, but now we've moved to subjigate an entire island, of which at least two great factions are, for all we know as gamers, decidedly neutral. We must look like crazy and extremely aggressive empire builders to the rest of the world, and we need to show that.
-
Re: OOC Thread and Chatroom
well at this point if you want to talk about realism, this is about the time Rome was getting truly imperialistic there is simply no arguing that. Syrikousai accepts us as an ally, therefore not an expansionist factor. We are in the 1st Punic war so thats understandable. After phase 3 and this event ends, i agree, lets focus on getting rich for a while. Although, we cant be to real. To hell with what the REAL roman expansion ideals were; this game would be so boring if we became little economists who focus on humanitarian missions and trade???
