As we are talking about trading: does anyone have a saddle to spare?
I am willing to trade a diamond for it. As I have recently hit upon a little streak of diamond ore I now have a few of them - but also a horse with nothing to ride it.

It may take a while, but you can get saddles from fishing now.
I have a few saddles as well, but I guess you'd be closer to mr. and mrs. TinCow's lair.
Looking at the map, I notice that people are building at and very close to the spawn... We are still planning to build a city, right? With the iron farm/n00b hotel/sky scraper as the center piece. Should we announce that building at spawn is considered temporary and will be bulldozed should the city need space? Announce in game perhaps as I suspect not all are actually reading this thread.
Thanks TinCow, I found it.
And Sigurd, I think it might be a good idea to make people aware that we have plans for that area.
The large wooden tower was build by, Ivanthefox, who seldom reads the forum. I will talk to him next time I see him online.
I have added the following plugins:
De-Craft
Scribe
ClockworkPlanter
Scribe and ClockworkPlanter work exactly as described on their pages. De-Craft as well, but it is set to return only 80% of the resources, not 100%. As always, more info available in the OP. I will probably be adding more plugins this weekend.
Dynmap Markers are now enabled. That basically means that you can now add labeled icons to the map wherever you want. Labels are added by placing signs and writing [dynmap] on the top line. The next line will be the label that displays on the map. All markers will default to a 'sign' icon unless you specify a different icon. To do so, on another line add icon:XXXX where XXXX is the name of the icon you want. The icon list can be found here. Do not use spaces for icon names. For example, an icon for Big House would be icon:bighouse. Here is an example of how to write the sign:
Attachment 11764
That sign will create a marker that reads "Test Sign" with the tower icon. Markers can be removed by breaking the sign.
Please feel free to start naming whatever you want on the server. I think it would be very fun to give names to certain interesting terrain features, such as mountains, oceans, etc. Just because it's naturally generated instead of man-made doesn't mean we can't name it. I would like to request, though, that any markers labeling natural terrain use the tree icon, for consistency.
I've marked near every portal and landmark I could find on the map. It was kinda fun.
De-craft wasn't working properly so it's been deactivated. We are currently trying SalvageSmelter out.
This is something I would want more than anything else. block smasher
At least I would not have to use a pick axe. I need a lot of cobble for my wall.
You could have hoppers collecting the crushed cobble from the generator connected to an automated smelter.. A bit more hassle than the earlier piston chest setup, but still possible to make mining stone to build obsolete. (well... you still need fuel for the smelter - if you don't use lava).
If there are any workable solutions to make smooth stone directly from a generator, I am all ears.
A smart-piston style plugin would certainly be useful. I'll take a look for a new one. In the meantime, I have ungodly amounts of cobblestone. You (and everyone else) is welcome to help themselves to as much as they want. You could take 10 double chests worth and I would still have too much.
As a heads-up, I recently decided it would be nice if we had a bit more activity on the server. More people = more development = more fun. As such, I posted a thread about our server on the main Minecraft forum. I have already whitelisted two people who have responded to that thread, one of whom (Farrell_Family) some of you may have met yesterday and today, and seems very nice and perfect for our community. The most recent 'application' posted in that thread is entirely underwhelming and I am not going to add that person. That said, the post reminded me that any people I admit from that source will be inherently unknown to us and there's a risk that they could be inappropriate for the server for various reasons, such as language, griefing, or generally non-Orgish behavior. It is very important to me to maintain the quality and friendliness of this server, even if it means keeping the population small. I cannot be online all the time, particular during the week when I have to work. As such, I would like to give whitelist/kick/ban powers to some of you who are on regularly, so that you can deal with newcomers if they become a problem. I trust pretty much everyone who plays on this server, particularly those who are active in this thread, and I know none of you would abuse those powers. That said, I do not want to force this duty on anyone who does not want it. Therefore, please post here or PM me if you are willing to take on such responsibilities while you are playing.
Thanks for being such an awesome community.
Blaze Spwaner at x-68, y84, z-21. Please do not destroy as we can make it into a blaze farm.
EDIT: Disregard. I grabbed it with a silk touch pick.
I just posted at CFC about our server. Might get a few more players from there. I also don't mind taking on kick/ban abilities.
I wouldn't mind moderating. I'm off my Skyrim spree and finally back into Minecraft.
Blaze farm is complete. It's next to my portal in the nether.
@Sigurd has no more excuses, time to build the ender farm
Did you guys manage to kill it? Or are there four suits of diamond armour lying around in the End?
We killed that dragon dead. And we all survived.
Right... We should do this as a community project.
I have not the resources to build this myself as I am yet quite poor. (need to get my daughter to mine for me)
What we need is:
Smooth stone (at least a double chest) - used as main building block, slabs, buttons, pressure plates etc
Repeaters (or the components)
Red stone
Sticky pistons (or the components)
Glowstone (a stack might be enough)
Rails
Vines
Ladders
Torches
Glass blocks
Anvils
Book cases
Enchantment table
Wood for chests etc.
I have places chests outside the end portal in the nether.
Deposit what you can spare.. and we might have the beginnings of an enderfarm.
I left a bunch of stuff in the chests:
- stack if sticky pistons
- stack of redstone blocks
- 4 stacks of rail
- stack of powered rail
- stack of repeaters
- stack of coal (for torches)
- 2 stacks of spruce logs
- 3 stacks of glass blocks
- enchanting table
Server is having some issues this morning. I am attempting to diagnose and fix it. Apologies for any random boots and downtime you experience.
Whow you did it.
And I missed out on this fun.
I would have loved to join you in my brilliant iron armour.
I would have supported you by running around cluelessly, distracting you with my chatty comments and inquisitve questions.
I would have added to your excitement by getting myself into peril and requiring you to risk your lives to save me, thus endangering the whole mission.
It would have been so much more fun (well, excitement in any case).
But seriously: Congratulations to you.
It must have been a great team effort and surely is a milestone for this world. :clown:
If anyone has, or comes across, a skeleton spawner I would love to buy/trade for it. I have an idea for a wither skeleton farm in the nether, but need a spawner.
I also have 3 blaze spawners if anyone is interested. I will probably try to add one or two to the blaze farm I built in the nether, but I certainly don't need all 3.
I don't know if anyone came and picked this up? When re-entering the spot there was a skeleton spawner/dungeon right next to the cave spider spawner. Checking the thread, I seem to have forgot to update this. I have put torches on both, so they should be safe and I patched the abyss around it, so you won't fall into the lava sea underneath. Consider it a thank you for the enderfarm resources. I never kept the Y coordinate - so maybe that's why I didn't post this before.
I got them. Thanks!
