And on a weirder note, if we get a draw result against the Czechs in the last match, the UEFA rankings will come into play which will decide the Czechs as the qualifiers.
Hottest match after 5 days indeed.

Croatia 1-2 German
Austria 0-1 Poland
A bit earlier :)
Yesssss!!! quarter-finals here we go...:charge:
We finish 1º no matter what result we get against the Swiss and that means we will play against the 2º from group B (crossing my fingers for Croatia:inquisitive:). It was a good match as both teams had several chances to score.
Match Day 6 Prediction
Germany 2 - 1 Croatia
Poland 2 - 0 Austria
Well further clarifications are being made about what happens if Turkey - Czech Repuplic match ends in a draw.
The rule I've stated above is valid if the relevant teams are NOT against each other in the last match of the group. However since under this circumstance the opposite is taking place, there will be a penalty shootout directly as soon as a draw result of 90 minutes is reached.
Any chance of a power graph like in the TW [TM] games series?
Another enquiring, and possibly drunk, mind.
:sweatdrop:
woooooot!!! i predicted right... do i get a cookieee??? pleasseee?!!??!!?!?
Day 6
Poland 1 - Austria 0
Croatia 0 - Germany 2
Day 6
Poland 2 - Austria 0
Croatia 1 - Germany 3
Match Day 6
Poland 2 - 0 Austria
Croatia 1 - 3 Germany
Amazing, those lacklustre Turks. Ha.
Matchday 6 Prediction
Croatia 0-1 Germany (1800)
[Unsure about this one. Feel the Croats have to improve in both defence and attack. Don't know that
they'll be able to hold off the Germans, though as has been said, sections of the German back line, and
the goalkeeper specifically, look below par.]
Austria 1-2 Poland (2045)
[Admittedly I can't quite see where Poland's goals will come from, though hopefully they get Smolarek
into the game this time.]
Day 6
Germany 2 1 Croatia
Poland 2 0 Austria
Germany - Croatia 2 - 1
Poland - Austria 2 - 1
Nevermind - perhaps I should have read all other posts before making my post...
Germany 2 - 0 Croatia Sure Bet
Poland 0 - 0 Austria
Match Day 6:
Germany 2 - 0 Croatia (Sure Bet)
Austria 1 - 1 Poland
He who dares wins (lol, taking a massive risk here).
Shame for the Swiss to be out, it should have been the Czechs in their place, but it does at least mean that second place will be decided directly by how well the two teams still in it do on the last day. I always hate it when teams are eliminated by the result in the other game, especially if it's because of an already-qualified country fielding a weakened team. Anyone remember Spain in 98? They beat Bulgaria 7-1 in their final game but still went out because Nigeria were already through and so lost to a truly awful Paraguay side. Let's hope we don't see too many cases of that this year.
Oh, and congrats to Portugal. There's no reason at all for them to tire themselves out against the Swiss now, so hopefully they can keep improving and hit top gear just as the knockout stage gets underway.
Anyway, to my predictions for Friday:
Match Day 7:
Netherlands 3-2 France
Italy 1-1 Romania
With the Netherlands on form and Italy's defence the weakest I've ever seen I'm hoping for lots of goals on Friday. Netherlands - France could be a fantastic game if France bother to show up.
Match Day 6:
Germany 2-1 Croatia
Poland 2-1 Austria
Match Day 6:
Germany 2 - 1 Croatia
Austria 1 - 2 Poland sure bet
Match Day 6
Poland 2 - 0 Austria
Croatia 1 - 3 Germany
Damn Germany, 2 - 0 down already!
Edit: Nothing like the Germany of the World Cup, I expected they wouldn't be perfect after the friendly against Serbia, but not this bad.
Podolski! Thank you, get me some points (:laugh4:)
The first surprise but well deserved for Croatia. They can play as outsiders for the trophy like Greece in 2004. It seams we are going to play Germany in the quarter-finals...:shame:
Damn you Germans !
That makes our job much, much more difficult...
At least Podolski delivered what he promised - 'I will do what I can to help Poland' - good man !
Ten years after the Lyon result, too. Well done to them.
[They'd never be as much of a surprise as Greece, whatever happens. Not that they're bothered about
that; I'd suggest they want the world to know they're coming.]
Can someone please shoot Ballack? That man is a major irritant: all froth and no play.
I liked Croatia, but their win was due to desastrous German defending.
Germany what the...... this isn't how I like ya that was terrible. Looks like we need a new mortal enemy, I think Portugal will do.
