He is clearly an Italio-French Suicide-bomber. Kill him or don't kill him, your fate is already sealed.

I have a hunch that he is scum.
Well...that was tragic.:wall:
Really wished we would have lynched him yesterday with a "last minute he can't use his sore-loser kill" kinda thing.:shame:

The Desperate Plea and the Decent Proposal
Yes, I killed Abstain, and yes, I am the French murderer. Abstain's day-kill was 1 of 3 single-use abilities I possess, in addition to the night kills. My win condition is to achieve a victory for any faction other than town, which we would presumably share, or be the last man standing.
If my assumptions about mafia numbers are correct, then there should be at least 3 Italian mafia left and 1 Russian, possibly more if they've recruited. Maybe another neutral. I propose that the remaining non-town aligned players band together and ensure our own survival. With judicious night kills and unified voting, we can take down the town in a couple turns, and then just let it come down to a good old-fashioned gang war! I realize that prospect might sound more appealing to the Italians than to the Russian(s), but how does it compare to the current situation? If Abstain's claims were true, the town have a detective and a network. Would you rather contend with that?
I realize it is late in this round to be proposing a new bandwagon, especially since it's highly possible that we might only be able to achieve a tie. But you'll have tonight to think about it, too. I'll wait til then to make my suggestion about how we can coordinate this in a way that allows both families to remain unknown to each other until the town is eliminated. So in the meantime, just think my suggestion and decide if it would benefit you.
:hourglass:
You have severely miscalculated. The scum are outnumbered. Moreover, if there were even one more scumbag than townies, not one of the former would be the first to reveal himself.
Edit: Oh, I see. He can survive a lynch. Townies, join me in attacking him tonight.
How do you conclude that? Why would he even reveal if he could survive a lynch?
Um, I can only assist someone else. Like me, no townie should have been able to accumulate enough xp to get a promotion yet. Yet you claim the ability to kill. The rules give the XP cost of a Killer promotion as follows:
There is no way in hell you could possibly have gotten 16xp as a townie. This is voting Day 5, so you'd have 5xp from voting after today, not enough for ANY promotion, let alone two. Yet you claim to be able to kill. If you started as a roleblocker it's entirely possible that you could have gotten enough xp to move to killer, but it's equally as likely that you just started as a killer. As such, you've basically just publicly IDed yourself as either a roleblocker or a killer. Since you will clearly claim roleblocker regardless of whether it's true or not, now would be a good time to start explaining why we should believe you.
Nah, I just figured that, given this:Quote:

and the Capo inspiration, townies should be able to team up to perform actions. :shrug:Quote:

Then no townie would ever be able to get more than one ability, as right here after this lynch we are entering the end-game. What would the point even be, then, other than to give scum even more options? And furthermore, just 2 XP per action in that case would automatically give scum a half-game advantage when it comes to buying abilities. And don't forget that each scumbag comes with an ability anyway (viz. Killer, Redirector, Don). Scum recruiting ability on top of town only being able to buy abilities after D6... Come on now. Be sensible.Quote:

Because it's implied. He's clearly going to be lynched today, and yet he says:Quote:

If he is alive tonight to make suggestions and there was no tie in this phase because the scum would not revealed themselves (yet), then...Quote:

You gotta think things through. And if you are a townie and supposedly have nothing to do tonight, then join me and Pizza. Worst case, nothing happens. Best case, B-Wing dies and we get XP. Don't forget that I called the mayor's innocence correctly while you disputed it.
If that's true, then I think many of us have been wasting our evenings doing nothing when we should have been gaining xp doing something in groups.
@Ferret can you confirm if this is true? Can townies join together for a night action when none of them has the stated ability to do that action?
It did not occur to me that we could do actions in groups without that being listed in the role PM. If that's true, it would indeed explain this XP imbalance situation.
Start of Night 5
Once more the committee voted in almost complete unison. They were convinced B-Wing was a criminal, even before he had the audacity to kill the Mayor in their presence. With scowls on their faces they backed him into a corner handcuffs at the ready. He wasn't finished yet though and, whilst revealing a knife, darted towards a gap that had appeared in the growing throng of committee members. The throat of FoxLeLay was slashed on his way through and the spurting blood was enough of a distraction for B-Wing to escape. He would live another night at least.
Night 5 will end at 22:00 GMT on the 8th (~22 hours from the time of this post). Seeing as the last phase ran over a few hours I'm happy to lengthen this one if requested or if a significant number of orders are missing.

Well, then town isn't doing well. Bad moment for a WOG, too.Quote:
No, they can't.
If there are 2 kills, and B-Wing dies tomorrow, then 6 players going into night, of whom 3-5 are scum? Oh dear, looks like B-Wing was right. And this way, no more scum will be NKed. End-game scum network. It's too strong.
Ouch, there'd better be a good explanation for 9 scum of 23, with recruiting powers, plus a neutral and an SK, against whom the town can perform no night-actions until LYLO or later...
:shame:
And I of all people wasn't mafia.
It should be difficult, not guaranteed, for scum to win a game in which more scum than townies have died (as was the case before the mayor was murdered).
I would say that the French role seems super OPed overall....he can night-kill, survive a lynch, day-kill someone(This surprised me...I would have figured it would be only given to someone who can't kill...like the mayor or something for a one-shot vig) and some other ability that does :daisy: knows what.
Combine him with three family's, likely starting at nine players that can recruit most likely and we have ourselves a townie massacre.:sweatdrop:
Alright, so if the remaining mafia wish to carry out Operation Stick-it-to-the-Man, this is the only way I can see for it to work:
(1) One person from each family PM me with your family's members tonight (or during the coming Day phase). I know that sounds risky, but I have no incentive to share your roster with any other players; it is one thing which makes me more valuable alive.
(2) Once I receive both lists, all I have to do is pick a player not in the mafia to vote for the next day, and the rest of you just follow my lead. If I don't get both lists, then I'll vote "abstain" tomorrow, and everyone will know there's no deal.
(3) The next Night phase (and this current one if I receive both lists in time) I'll privately suggest to each family representative a player to kill, who will of course be town. Now I can't realistically enforce that you follow my suggestion, and you have the option to choose another target, but I'll most likely consider it a deal-breaker if that happens.
(4) Rinse, repeat, until all townies are removed.
I assume one concern you mafioso share is, can I be trusted? You know I'm not a townie or mafioso because of the two one-use abilities I've demonstrated (in addition to the French night kills, but I can't actually prove those were my doing). If you can come up with a plausible scenario in which I would be doing this for any reason other than that which I previously stated, feel free to point it out.
As I see it, the whole plan really hinges on whether the Russians agree. They are in the least favorable position if they buy in. Yet they may still find it preferable to the alternative. Whatever happens, I pledge to stay out of the ensuing mafia war, as it doesn't really benefit me to take sides.
There is one other possibility that should be addressed. Based on what I gather from the write-ups, the Italian mafia could have as many as 4 living members if they've successfully recruited. Not sure how recruiting works, but I assume each family can do it. Since there's only 9 total players alive, we could create a majority without the Russians' cooperation. Even if that does turn out to be the case, the Russians could still benefit from the agreement by virtue of being spared for a couple rounds.
Well, I can't think of anything else to add at the moment. Do you wanna do this? For the win? For the lulz? For all the scum who fought and failed before us? If you do, contact me. Otherwise, I'm a dead man tomorrow. Alive, I can be a useful ally. Dead, I'm just a wasted opportunity. :drama1:
Dang, another Askthepizzaguy wall-o-text. Doesn't that guy ever shut up?
Pfft.
Betcha B-Wing's a dead man walking.
There's what, still one scum faction untouched, probably with recruits? They've got this game in the bag. They're gonna kill a couple townies tonight and watch B-Wing get lynched tomorrow. No reason to cooperate with the only other player in this game that poses a threat.
Sink the metallic bovine at some stage please.
Maybe we shouls just kill the farinaceous dark one instead.
