Hullo Lordz and Wellington,
Like I said I've been kicking around the idea for a Peninsular war campaign since the infrastructure won't need to be changed too much (most Spanish cities/fortresses were very medieval in structure!http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cg...icons/wink.gif. Looking at using the basic Europe map and renaming provinces like what I did for WotRoses.
About scaling, I think it can work either way. This isn't meant to be a historical recreation by any stretch of the imagination. It's a GAME So if Badajoz is stormed by 16 units of 160 0 men max then thats fine with me. Though frankly I'm thinking, unit-wise, our scale here is one stack of 16 units=one army corps of two divisions with supporting arms and HQ. Otherwise, people can just compute in their minds that 'realistically' each soldier should 'represent' ten men or something like that.
Will Viking Invasions feature multiplayer strategic campaigns or better diplomacy rules? Particularly the ability to 'violate' allied territory without declaring war Sure hope so
Factions for the Spanish Peninsula:
French (2 or 3 representing = the French effort vs English (Soult, Junot, Ney, Massena) / French effort vs Spanish (Suchet, Dupont) / French 'King' Joseph and his bodyguard and supporting units)
British (around 2 representing Wellington and either Beresford, Moore, Stuart or Lynedoch)
Portuguese (1 representing their army and guerrillas)
Spanish (all remaining factions, being grouped regionally - each region struggles not only vs French but against others and possibly against the British and aims to come out as top dog - Galicia, Asturias, Aragon, Andalucia, Murcia, Valencia, Estremadura
Best of luck
