GUNNERS! GUNNERS! 1-0 at half time!
Looks like the Gunners are up against the refs as well. 1 red card (Lehmann, 17') and 2 yellows (Henry, Eboue) already, none for Barca. Time to implement the 8-1-0 formation and go 1-nil for the win! :laugh4:
This game is pretty intense. Henry just (5 mins ago) had the chance to make it 2-0. I really thought he'd score there.
EDIT: 1-1
EDIT2: 2-1 to Barca. I don't believe it ~:mecry:
Barcelona, 2006 Champions League Winners ~:confused::shame: ~:(
Ah well, congrats. ~:thumb:
me neither, me neither. 11 vs 10 but still If Henry only could have put the ball in the goal.
Well, it didn't help that their keeper got a red card in the 17th minute!:wall:
Eh, congrats Barcelona, I guess...
w00t w00t ! :2thumbsup:

Edit: I think that it's funny that all the europeans, well most of them are europeans, are still posting regularly about football in a thread called 'soccer'.:laugh4:
Almunia made good saves at first, but in the end the defense just slackened off a bit. Notice when Ronaldinho attacks there are a few defenders in the box, but both times when the goals were scored against Arsenal there was only Almunia?
Gah
So that's the general way that soccer fans react when they lose :laugh4:Quote:

However it was 05-06 when Fenerbahce lost its great advantage that was around 9 points ahead weeks ago. Team couldn't handle that fallback because our coach was an archaic mammoth hunter. As I said it's been 3 years and I don't have a single idea how Fenerbahce play, what tactical advantages they can implement over their rivals.
Galatasaray, our bloody rival, was sometimes not able to even pay the wages of the players. Their foreign players did not attend several trainings etc. throughout the season. However they chased the game to the end. And even though we hurt them bad with a 4-0 lately, they went for it to the bone and deserved it. It's so hard to congratulate GS for a FB fan..But..Well..Congrats..:shame:
Who are your local favorites, Louis ? I am an AJ Auxerre fan if you'd like to know ~:) Ah yes, in every country I have a favorite :balloon2:
Haha, I see my countryman did as much as he could to spoil the party. Well done. :laugh4:
Nah, it is just alcohol stripping me of my shockingly thin layer of civilization to expose my inner hooligan. :shame:Quote:

Ah, c'est Bordeaux: www.girondins.com. Unfortunatley, for some unexplainable reason they don't cater to our vast numbers of overseas fans by having an english section.
You'll be seeing the Girondins in the Champions League next year, after having finished second in the Ligue. Second nowadays being the best one can hope for, what with Lyon claiming the title every year by early february. :wall:
Hmm Bordeaux.. I hear very promising things about Chamakh playing upfront. Any thoughts on him ?

Seems the Referee regrets it.
Ahh, the 'Napoleon Syndrome' of just not quite being great enough at the last gasp. Kinda ironic when in the service of an English team. :laugh4:Quote:

I know, I know. With six semi-finals and three wins in the last ten tournaments we participated in we're nowhere near as succesful as that envy of the world: the England football team. ~;)Quote:

England ARE the most overrated team in world football. I cheer the opposition, always.
I especially hate the ITV commentator Clive tildesly or something. Chairman of the Man Utd and England Fan Club. Everytime an England player commits a foul, it isn't a foul. Everytime an England player gets booked, its very very harsh or the ref is just incompetent.
Everygoal an England player scores it is the best ever goal any player in the world has scored.
And I especially hate how everytime England play he has to bring up England beating a weakened German side 5-1

Yeah - England got a real "killer" group in comparison :laugh4: (glasshouse and stones come to mind...)Quote:

I'm really hoping that Germany and Holland 'll meet somewhere in the tournament, and then I hope we'll utterly destroy them. Winning with penalties would be the ultimate revenge.Quote:

Also I'd love to see Poland beat the Germans, talk about revenge ~;)

An Englishman on the other hand will not show any outward signs whatsoever. He'll never grant you the satisfaction of knowing just how much, if at all, you just managed to annoy him.
It is superhuman and, frankly, unbearable.~:mecry:
Well Louis, deep, deep down inside, the Gallic Shrug is the quintessence of irritation to an Englishman. It is a superhuman effort to stifle the annoyance, but hey, you guys bring out the best in us. ~;)
But, don't tell anyone I told you so. :creep:
