It really depends on what you are looking for. If you just want to beef up M:TW without changing overmuch, there are small modifications like Zarax's mod of WesW's MedMod v2. If it is challenge you are looking for, but still want to stay the Medieval theme, I recommend the later versions (v3 or v4 beta) of WesW's MedMod. All versions of the MedMod improve the A.I.'s decision-making resulting in a far harder game, but v3 and v4 add other changes that make it more difficult to expand. v4 is still in the testing phase, though. Other popular medieval mods are Medieval XL by VikingHorde and Blind King of Bohemia's Supermedieval. If it is non-medieval scenario's you are interested in; the big names are Napoleonic TW, Hellenic TW and Samurai Wars (a remake of Shogun on the M:TW engine). There was also a Fall of Rome mod, but I guess this one is less interesting after R:TW and its assorted mods.Quote:

Hmm...I'm not sure, I would almost consider this thread spam I guess.:dizzy2:Quote:

I've got a question. Do you have to be a part of the Guild to post War Stories? I tried to start the thread in the War Stories forum, but the server said I couldn't. I was wondering if one of you guys could post the story for me, assuming you think its alright. I could send the beta to your e-mail ID if you agree.
You can access the Mead Hall, and most of the other forums, once you have been promoted to full member. In the mean time if you want to add your story to the Mead Hall, you can post it in the Entrance Hall with a request to move it and one of the moderators will do so.Quote:

Hello everyone. My handle is Rocky, as you can see, for the Rocky Mountains near where I live. For those of you from other countries, Colorado is the southern rectangular state in the middle of the country, but you probably know that already :)
I'll have some free time over the summer to check out this mod, and I thought I'd join the forum in case I have any questions. In fact, I do have one question already. Is it possible to download the EB mod while still having Rome: Total Realism on my system, or do I have do delete RTR before I can download and use EB? If anybody in this forum can answer my question I'd be most grateful. Thanks!
Hello Rockey, you'll see that the org has more to offer than mods. To answer your question, yes, I believe you have to delete RTR to make room for EB.
Hiya all,
Thought I'd quickly introduce myself! I'm living in Copenhagen Denmark, and have been playing RTW for the last year or so and just recently with BI. Really enjoy the total war series (starting with Shogun!!!), and would like to explore RTW in more detail now.
Still haven't played a multiplayer game yet, as I've been too busy with the campaigns!, so will start looking through the multiplier threads now.
Like the feel of the forum, feel welcome already! :laugh4:

It's possible to have both: you can uninstall RTR first, and then copy the whole folder and paste it. Then, reinstall RTR into one of them and install EB onto the other. It wastes quite a lot of space though.

Hello
My name is Graham Sumner. I am a freelance illustrator and author. Perhaps some of you have seen my work for Osprey books. And yes I play RTW as well!
Graham.
Welcome Graham, Subedei, and Scab!!
Graham, you should check out the MEAD HALL, there are a lot of good stories and writers in there.
I think you found more than a couple. How many members are there to this site? I think "lots" is a fair estimate.:laugh4:Quote:

Hello! One of the moderators invited me to join this forum ages ago, I forget his username on here tho.
How do I get permission to post in the Tavern forums? There are a few threads I would like to reply to!
New members can only post in the Entrance Hall and a few other forums (mainly technical and mod-related ones). To get access to the rest of the forum, they need to get promoted first. This system is a bit restrictive, but it helps keep the Org free of spammers, trolls and other internet-pests. All that is required for promotion is a bit of patience, and that post regularly in a friendly and helpfull manner. More information can be found in the Guild FAQ.Quote:

Can anyone point me in the right direction for modding MTW: Viking? I am working on a novel and I'd like to fully mod MTW so I can playtest my imagination. I mean change everything around so as to fit with my vision. Hopefully there is a guide and tools available for d/l so I can start working on this. thanks. Lox
