No, revision period during these Easter Holidays. I can be Consul during my Study Leave in about 3 weeks though, cos no one else will be home. However my weekends are basically gone until after my exams, cos I got revising, football and Ten Tors. No free time.

where is the topic where the proconsuls and propraetors state which province do they wish to govern after the congressional session? or do they just state so in the elections/legislations voting thread.

I would hope some character who opposes the Aquilae Ascendtis would become consul, it would make things more interesting. because now that TCM resigned, mooks and potocello's either having their characters restricted from offices or becoming inactive, I think the only person who could is......

That's actually a little problem I have with the FAA. It's too big for this game's size. Out of those who voted last time, 6/11 we're FAA members, and with the loss of players (counting potocello), it will be 6/9 this season if the rest stay the same. Out of those who have spoken in the Curia this session, 5/8 are in it. Not only that, but it also includes all of the more influencial characters...
IMO it needs to be split up, because the rest of us don't have a say about anything unless we can get the ToP's vetoes, and that's just that: vetoes. Even so, we would only have two of them anyway, and since beanerz can propose 2 edicts and 2 charter amendments alone, that's a pretty weak counter measurement.
I'm not sure if the FAA has an own legion yet or not, but that's inconsequential because the rest of us don't. There is thus no way for us to effectively oppose the FAA, not even militarily. Surely you agree this isn't good for the game.

look at mini and bean, They are a house divided if you ask me. honestly I dont see an issue, they are a powerful house that has gained prominence in the senate, that was the entire point of houses wasnt it? the fact they gained it due to a lack of players dosnt matter. Besides does it matter if they are in a house or not? they would vote together anyway.
Well, yeah, mini's the exception, but the rest are together. One guy (and one of the two least influencial, for that matter) doesn't exactly make a house "divided". Houses should be powerful, yes, but having only one house that is so strong that almost all active players are in it and the others have absolutely nothing to say about things in the Curia is too far. That's my problem: that they're too strong for the good of the game, not that they're simply strong.
And yes, it does matter, because as a house they have an income and will have an army of their own. It's also harder to dissent because of the rules imposed by the house, there would be consequences for doing so. Remember how mini was criticized for not agreeing with them?
good point. what stinks is that it looks like our pool of new players is drying up, so this might be a pretty longterm issue.

Sorry guys iv been completely inactive. I got in a pretty bad car wreck, flew right out the front windshield. Doctors say im damn lucky. The good news is I now have some gnarly lacerations on my back and some on my chest/back/neck area, looks pretty damn sexy (I think so at least), looks like knife cuts.
So, im back and ill be active from now on. Active enough to catch up on 1+ week of inactivity, im not sure.
btw Baen's house is only all powerful because my house didnt go through like I planned, we would have 2 equally powerful houses if mine rose like it was sopposed to.

anyway as you can see FAA is staying at status quo and doing nothing exactly now because we have nobody to argue against, other than ourselves (when swissbarbar does so with mini).
and as for catching up with activity, here's a brief summary:
-congressional session lasted longer than expected, you can see the edicts in the legislation voting; including my awesome RC and CAs. do vote for edict 1.3. edict 1.2 was largely discussed in the curia OOC, and ended when iskander's character asked who is Marius and Caesar.
-CDF (sextus cornelius sulla) is probably going to become ToP.
-TCV proposed an edict 7.4 which granted him a governorship, but nobody seconded it
-a new guy just joined; actually 2, the other guy is Celtic Punk, but I think he's busy RL, since he hasn't appeared on WotB either.
-Blasio and Cotta are consuls....
-potocello might have became praetor if he was around, but wasn't

And I have got to remember I'm CoF now...I need to end the turn every night. If I forget one day keep yelling at me till I do, because it's most likely that I have just forgotten to do it rather than left the forums. For the weekends I'll pass the responsibility to Navarro or whomever, since I am away for nearly all weekend for the next 3-4 weeks.
I suspected it would go missed, so I tried pushing discreetly for it here, but meh, it wouldn't have mattered anyway since no one else did. I'm fine with just sitting in Rome for the next 3 years.

What should I roleplay that happened? Why I was gone for so long?
I used to PM everyone I could find in the EB forums, but I havent got the time for that anymore. A good place to start would be the Interactive Romani AAR by Johnhaughtman in the EB AAR section; its basically exactly what we're doing, only less structured.
Did I say less structured, therefore implying not as good? Of course I meant it's lovely and spacious, a joy to read. One of the greatest achievements since Biro's! :juggle2:

I don't mind you using it to recruit, as I said I have already tried to encourage people to come here. I keep an eye on the EB PBMs and I wonder if there are too many and people are spread too thin, they all seem quite slow at the moment.
yeah, real issues with new players at the moment, BtSH and WoTB are both being sustained almost entirely by a small core of players, which are dwindling all the time.... heck WoTB just lost its game master! things look bleak but we will persevere!
This is a bad time of year as well...well, for me and others my age, the self centred person I am :beam:
for me finals are just around the corner, luckily I am the kind of person who dosnt study and still gets B+, which means it shouldnt affect me much. (..... I probably should study and get A+'s ...... ohh well maybe next year)
