well mate i did somme compairs with your maps and myn i think i mis somme maps there are maps of your mod in my MTW map but i seem to miss the read me files :Zpoststrat,Zstrat,ZtexMax,Ztexram,Ztexture,but thats all it seems simler everyelse i got in my directory i really dont now wot the problem is mate
Thanks for the mod and puttin up with me BKB. I got the mod to work, except for some reason on the 3rd turn playing as the Teutonic Order, it always freezes when I select the end turn. When I go into the task manager, it says that the total war game is taking 98% of cpu usage, and the odd thing is its a 512 mb ram, and I have well exceed the other minimum requirements.
I just got done uninstalling, and reinstalling all the games/patches/etc, tried as the Teutonic Order, Knights Hospitaller, and the HRE, and still the game freezes after about a turn or two. I installed all the software in proper order and such. Unless I'm supposed to install the BKB patch to the M-TW folder I do not know what is wrong with it...
Well you could try playing it without the patch first, see if the problem persists then. I'm not sure what it could be to be honest, might be something to do with your graphics card although I haven't got a clue about the specifics of it all.
Axel mate just tell me if you have a folder called 'Medieval - Total War' inside your main BKB folder, I need to know this or we can't solve the problem. I do not have one, as you can see, in that picture, but do you?Quote:

hi mate i did have a good luck and yes i have the medieval_totalwar folder i counted your yellow maps and you got 24 of them i have 26 of them and one of them is medieval_totalwar and the other is charts and readmes but if i look at the other MTW games i have with mods in them they also got medieval_totalwar in them and they all work fine?? but i am not that technical with mods but yes i have the file in my map mate i hope we comme to a solution i am itching to play your mod mate and i wish you a happy and a good new year mate may all your wishes comme true:winkg:
I tried reinstalling everything except the mod patch, but it still freezes. Also checked the video card and the settings, and it's the NVidia Quadro2 GO/ Quadro2 MXR/EX with settings I had: 56.54 winxp2k_english_whql (which is what I always used to play MTW original & VI without patch, and also the XL mod), and I also set it to the nvidia_wxp_omega_16693 (which I normally have it set to for more complex games...). I'm at a loss now, as I have tried all sorts of things to get the mod to work. ~:pissed:~:confused: :surrender:

hi mate there are 5 yellow maps with battle and campmap and loc and fronted_files and textures and there are 7 read me files with the names early _modded_crusaders and high_modded_crusaders and late_modded_crusaders and early _modded_crusaders_...... and high_modded_crusaders_b.... and late_modded_crusaders_b... and projectilestats and thats all mate
I am now officially intregued. I just now realize that ONLY the Super Late period freezes. I have tried 3 different factions on all periods...only Super Late is affected. :stupido2:
So am I.....that is very odd, and to be honest I have no idea what the problem could be!:questiong:
Alright Axel mate can you do something for me? I want you to copy ALL of the folder in THAT folder INTO the main 'Medieval - Total War' folder, the one I pictured earlier. After that try the game and see if it works. Then re-install the patch and you should be fine.
well mate i did wot you said i copy not cut but copy all my files from the medieval_totalwar file and pasted them in my MTW folder and i started the game and it workt mate damn wot a nice mod thx mate but i did not put the patch again becose i dont no wot patch you meen mate is it the mod that i have to put again ??? and wot about the files i copy t must i delete the one s in the medieval_totalwar folder becose i have them dubbel now i meen the files in the yellow medieval_totalwar folder the ones i copyt???

The patch is the Version 2.1 you downloaded. You can install that one easily enough, as the auto-install is correct as it is.
I just downloaded the Mod and everything appeared to be fine, I installed it into my Total war file instead of the Medieval Toal war file as instructed, but when I load up the game a select a faction just as its about to load to the map the game resets to my desktop :help:
Its a fresh VI game latest official patch, any ideas what could possibly be the problem? I havent installed the Mod's 2.1 patch, wanted to make sure it worked before downloading it.
Sounds like a problem with the map, although I'm not sure what exactly. I've heard people talk about screen resolutions as problems in the past, although its not an area I'm that knowledgeable in. Also what country are you in mate, did you notice any problems with the text at all?
I'm in the UK, when it loads to say about 3/4 of the load bar and you hear that kind of like a single beep noise and usually the map immediately pops up it just resets to desktop.
So I think your probably right with it being a map problem. I'll fiddle around with resolutions see if it has any effect, I havent noticed any problems with the game or anything. I play games, but understand very little about what makes them tick :laugh4: so i'm pretty clueless to be honest.
Alright mate, let me know how you get on. Is it working okay in Custom Battles?
I tried a custom battle on super early with 2 new factions and it works fine, so it must be a problem with the campaign map.
Do you think totally uninstalling everything then beginning the process again would sort it out?
Of course i'd rather find a solution other than that, since it takes so long to install everything all over again.

If I was being honest mate I'd probably say no, as it sounds like quite a specific problem involving the map. I'll have a look in this thread and see if I can find anyone who has had similar problems.

Which download link is more stable? The BKB super mod, or the 3D Downloads?
Oh! Almost forgot. When I played the mod more and more in the Early and High, it eventually froze then too. It however seems to take a few turns longer though. It still only freezes when I hit the "End Turn" tab, while it claims to be thinking. It says "not responding" in the task manager still too. I am now really confuced and po'd. :inquisitive: :dizzy2: :furious3: :wall: :skull:
Is there also a way in which I can completely wipe all files of the mod off my cpu so that I can start from scratch? I tried deleting some from My computer/search, but there's still some other files i've found
I have an idea. I can try to copy and paste the images of my folders onto this thread, so that you can take a look if you want BKB. I looked at one of the previous threads, and noticed I had some folders and such you don't, so I figure something's wrong...

The mod is still working, except for it's occasion freeze/crash. I'm pretty sure it's due to sound card though, since when i crashes, it says "Direct Sound Failed". Keep up the good work BKB.
Ok I found a couple of related problems and there seems to be a fix (hope you haven't tried it). There is this one posted by Bolfry a few pages back:

So it looks like sacrificing resolution could be the answer. If this doesn't help, you could look inside the 'Textures/campmap' folder and the each 'SuperMod...' folder (there are 3 and see if you have the following files in each (ignore the BMPs).Quote:
I have the same problem CrusaderForJustice and i have also the german version of MTW + VI. With the Mod, the game crashed when i load some factions. Other factions work fine.
Try to reduce in the options the resolution of the strategy map to 800 x 600 ( i think that is the lowest) and then load a new campaign. This solved my problem and now iam able to play with all Mod factions.
If you find another solution, please post it. I really want to use a higher solution for the strategy map.
