Emperor's Report, Summer 272 BC
Building
The people of Ariminum live in happier times as law&order there has been renewed by the set-up of a provincial military government. The setting up of an allied state is now also being constructed there this spring.
Military
An army fort has been set up south of Arpi to begin rallying forces to defend against the Epirotes. Two RGBs have been put in queue in Roma and Ariminum as well.
Internal Affairs
Taxes have been set to high in Arpi.
Foreign Affairs
The Empire of Selukia has broken its Alliance with Pontus, Hayasdan, and Baktria. Our diplomats have settled a ceasefire with the Aedui and established trade with them. Our northern borders are now safer.Allies: Qarthasdam Enemies: Epiros and Averni
Intelligence
Our spies have spotted a small Epirote army south of Arpi. It is one Toxotai and one Hippeis Tarantinoi under a Captain Eudamos.

fought a minor battle against the small force of epirotes. damned skirmisher cavalry fled before I could engage them properly.

the enemy has some toxotai and 37 hippeis tarantinoi left, we lost 6 principes and 16 equites (bodyguard)

I have now joined Legatus Asina and Legio I Apulia in the fort. We still await reinforcements.
As a further report, the Tarentine army seems to have enlarged in size. Perhaps it may be prudent to send scouting forces ahead as a vanguard to assess the enemies strength, and perhaps to test their defences.

Buildings
Arimiunum has out-grown itself within Roma's power and will require the construction of a villa magistratus. Our military builders have set up the allied state in Arimiunum. In Arretium, the people will be pleased to know our builders have begun construction on a circus simplex and games will be held within two seasons.
Military
Three more units have arrived at the fort of the I Legion of Apulia. They were 1 Principes, 1 Hastati, and 1 Accensi. 1 more Accensi is on its way and will arrive next season placing the Legion in full strength.
Internal Affairs
Taxes were raised in Arimiunum to suffice with the growing population. The Emperor Manivs has been called a worshipper of Ivpiter and has hired the services of a philosopher, a Freeman Clerk, and a chirurgeon. Our good Heir Blasio has been called Master of Horse, and hired an herbalist.
Foreign Affairs

Intelligence
Our spies have reported another small Epirote force south of the I Legion of Apulia's fort. They are not to be attacked they are scouts and will surely leave. Our spies have also gained entrance to the city of Taras, and have written that there is a good sized force of Hoplites there.

There are 3 new RGBs. 2 in Roma, and 1 in Arimiunum.

We are just a season away from finishing the Circus Simplex in Arretium.
Military
Cnaevs Asina and Caivs Cotta's bodyguard units have been retrained in Capua and have arrived back at their fort. Legio I Apulia's weakend Principes cohort has also been retrained and in Capua and is back in the fort. The cohort of Accensi are one season from arriving at the fort. Servivs Romani and Pvblivs Regvlvs are now both in Roma as requested. 3 new RGBs are in a fort in Latium and ready for use.

Our Circus Simplex is finally complete and minor races are being held in Arretium.
Military
A military parade was held in Arpi showing off the completion of the mighty Legio I Apulia. Legatus Asina, Roma bids you good fortune in battle. 1 Principes was trained for the Arpi Garrison.
Internal
Taxes were set to Very High in Arpi for a momentary gain in Denarii.
Foreign
A diplomat is heading for Arverni to set up a ceasefire there and trade rights.
Intelligence
The Epirote scout force has retreated back to Taras.

actually there was a unit of Hoplites outside the city, when I attacked it, it coaxed the garrison out of the city and onto the battlefield, and I was very fortunate to have a very nice battlefield that was a large plain with some light forests at the sides. and what's more fortunate, the cavalry charges were all superb.

Buildings
The Epirote regime in Taras has been dismantled and Regional Pacification is complete there, law and order is restored. A holy site to honor the great Jupiter is now beginning construction in Taras. In Arpi, new troops will be available after the finishing of the Auxilia Delectv Regionis that is not being built.
Military
The infantry cohorts of Legio I Apulia have been sent toward Capua for retraining. The 2 Eqvites are heading toward Roma for retraining. A unit of Leves and Rorarii have been sent to garrison Taras.
Internal Affairs
Tara's capture has opened new trade routes to us and allowing for a flourishing economy. The taxes there have been set to low to keep the peace. Capua's taxes have been set to high.
Foreign Affairs
Our diplomat is nearing the Arverni captial with our proposal.
Intel
Our spies have gained entrance to Rhegion and report there is a powerful legion their. Roma once more bids good luck to Dux Asina in his conquest of it.

I split the cavalry and infantry forces to make them move faster,
Legio I Apulia should be assembled at the walls of Rhegion next season, our armies shall triumph once again!
Taking the save...again...alot done in one day, but only makes sense guys...all in due time the game will slow a bit and be more in depth.

Building
Roma has expanded. Our great capital will need a Villa Proconsulis. In Arpi, the Avxilia Delctu Regionis is completed and new conscriptions can be called up. A highway, to boost trade income, will be constructed from Capua to Arretium and later into Rhegion. The construction has begun with paved roads in Capua.
Military
Arpi's principes cohort has been sent to keep order in Taras.
Internal Affairs
Servivs Longvs has hired the services of a Physician. Emperor Dentatvs has hired the services of a Logographos.
Foreign Affairs
The Koinon Hellenon are now at war with the distant people of Pontus. The Pontic nation has also broken its alliance with the Empire of Baktria.

moved Legio I Apulia to besiege Rhegion; the gates are still completely undamaged. darn, I shall attack tomorrow then.
Navarro, perhaps we should stop fastforwarding the game now, to allow people to catch up; taking the city can wait, and the other players are probably going to role-play a fair bit when they get online.
