Sounds a bit random this but its sumthin that i always think about.
My question to you is....
If given a choice based on knowing what you know now about the history of this world, what age would you have chose to live in?

The Future.
In the good old days.
That would be the 1980s for me
60's/70's, probably! But I love now as well.
Garden of Eden before that damn woman ruined everything.
I doubt anyone here could REALLY prefer any past age over the present day. We're all a bit too used to our internet, cellphones, and other 21st century luxuries, not to mention EB! That said, there are certainly many historical epochs I'd like to VISIT. Imperial Rome is an obvious first choice since I spend most of my time studying their history and archaeology, but 3rd century BCE Alexandria would also be interesting.
I cannot answer your question for I am not of this world. I am from the planet Gametron (seen plenty of you there as well) and for us there has only ever been 1 age - the age of gaming. It's a wonderful world.
However I have heard of this 'woman' you speak of and it reminds me of a story.
Once upon a time there was a man, and the man asked a woman to marry him. The woman said "NO" and the man lived happily ever after. THE END
Well, actually, who are you? I mean, they probably "can't explain", but if Methusaleh won't get fooled again, the kids should be alright.Quote:
The who tells us YOU wouldn't ruin everything? :DDDDD
Back in the Pliocene Epoch for the bearded women.
Enjoy your smallpox.
What I think would be really cool is the sort of simulation where you are placed "inside" of someone living at the certain time and location. However you can just see from the viewpoint of the person you are "in", but can't make any decisions, just follow your "host". This way you could see, feel and hear the thoughts and emotions of the frontline roman soldier charging the battleline of celts, the daily life of athenian citizen, the lousy life of a cretan mercenary or daily struggles of a farmer somewhere in Baktria. This is just a few examples from EB period. The only limit then would be your time and imagination as possibilities are endless.
With what I know now, head back to La Tene Europe, warn the Gauls of the Celts, and have a c. 390 Rome sack repeat itself in 50 B.C. The Gauls, Dacians, Thracians, Iberian, and other languages and cultures might still be preserved today for our enjoyment...
Then again the 1980 rocked. Great thrash, speed, and general heavy metal (not hair metal really) to be found and band in their prime.
Yes... introduce the celts to heavy metal.
Bah. I don't even have most of the advanced 21st century toys like cellphones or ipods or laptops. I have a t.v., but there's never anything to watch, so I wouldn't miss it.Quote:

In fact, I have often dreamed of moving to the steppes and living among nomadic herdsmen, if there are any left. They've probably all settled down and become district attorneys or something by now.
Of course, I think I'd much rather live in the Cambrian period. There wouldn't be anybody or anything running around on land, and there'd be funny little creatures in the sea, most of which were probably edible. It might be a tad unpleasant without plants.
I would miss EB though.
the 17th century in China.... enjoying a live as a manchurian noblemen... All I need is some time to fight as heavy HA, and everything (slaves, money, and delicious foodstuffs) will come automatically without any expense...
I wouldn't change a thing! Life is good.
Neolithic (new stone age) period... That part of human history always have facinated me...
I'd go back to the Cretaceous and be a dinousaur. RAWWRRR!
