Isn't Legend the console game renamed to Spartan? Maybe Empire then. :san_cheesy:Quote:

I see a pattern..
Hellenes
They should just do a Napoleonic game if they want to stick with Europe. Or else they could do a game like that Age of Mankind mod.
interestign but not RTW. Of to the frontroom with you!
Entrance hall even...
I found the same thing a few months ago and started a thread here. A CA employee told me that Legend: Total War was the original name for Spartan: Total Warrior.
It is a bit like Medieval: Total War, because that was going to be called Crusader: Total War.
I have not heard of the Empire: Total War name before.
I hope empire total war means napoleonic or maybe if I'm dreaming renaissance era.
Empire is a very broad scale, Rome could have just as easily been called Empire, as could have the other two titles since the point of TW is to build an empire. Just look at the AOE series, they've got kings that they class as empires just as they did colonial. I hope they change the name if it's supposed to be empire. But in the context and looking at what eras they've already covered, this would point to the colonial era, looks like we've got Britain, France, Germany, Russia, Austria-Hungarian and all the over used familiar factions we've seen in many games if this is the case.
It's odd, because I thought to create a great game of Napolean times a new engine would be needed, which i was lead to beleive wouldnt happen until TW5. Dont get me wrong I'd buy/play a NTW but I think they should make a new engine for it.
Maybe it was called empire, then they changed it for some reason.Quote:

I am sure a CA employee will be along soon to tell us what it means.
Nah, just look at what the Lordz are doing and you can see that this engine can handle gunpowder and it looks great. And they are bound by limits.Quote:

This engine could easily handle the advent of gunpowder. Though I'm not sure how they would implement skirmishers and sharpshooters, that is something that would need to be tweaked a bit. The current system of skirmishing would not suffice :P
Could be Holy Roman Empire too, which covers a vast span of time.
well sharpshooterQuote:

i dunno bout skirmishers...but there can be alot of variety with just the system we have...of course it needs some tweaking but i could be done...just look at NTW2
Actually I havn't seen what Lordz are doing, any links?Quote:

I'd REALLY like to see a good Fantasy: Total War game.
Hellenes may be trying to be too clever here. It's nice guesswork - but that's all it is. Guesswork. :san_laugh:
Stop torturing us.:san_sad:
Please tell us what it is.
In otherwords CA is still in the guesswork too :san_huh:Quote:

I'm already intrigued :san_tongue:
CA do realise this would make a excellent christmas present to the fan :san_wink:
That sounds ... err, intriguing! I think it rules out a Napoleonic Total War as the next game. It suggests a setting a little more quirky and idiosyncratic than MTW and RTW. Maybe something more like Shogun. If so, I am not sure how CA are going to square it with their aim to serve a mass market. [Crosses fingers that CA keep to a historical setting.]Quote:

For Ages 5+ . Contains scenes of Lego Men hacking the limbs off other Lego Men that may upset some younger players.
That wouldn't be a bad idea actually.
Always wanted to see thousands of lego dudes doing a epic battle.
The Lego idea is pretty good.
