Google Earth: Identify the city
This a game I found on another fourm. The rules are simple one person post a screen shot from google earth of the down town of a certain city and the others have to identify it. Please keep to cities that are fairly well known. For example no one wants to try to indenfy some city in the middle of nowhere.
I'll start:

Edit: blanked out lat and long

Re: Goggle Earth: Identify the city
I'll take a stab: New York City harbor?
-
Re: Goggle Earth: Identify the city
Its somewhere is USA because:
a. It is using a NASA image.
b. The 3D building thing is on, which only works in America.

Re: Goggle Earth: Identify the city
Tough to make out distinguishing features from 18,000 feet up.
It doesn't resemble the Los Angeles or SF areas, so I guessed NYC. Maybe Baltimore or Miami?
edit: Must be east-coast US, by the compass... about east-south-east. Maybe Charleston, South Carolina?

Re: Goggle Earth: Identify the city
None mentioned, Hint: it is in the Midwestern U.S.

Re: Goggle Earth: Identify the city
its probably a city bordering one of the great lakes or the mississippi river. (did i spell that right?)
-
Re: Goggle Earth: Identify the city
It's Chicago.
EDIT: By the way, some of Mexico is also covered by NASA.

Re: Goggle Earth: Identify the city
Going by the in-pic compass, I guess west coast N.Am. But not Seattle, SF, LA, San Diego, Acapulco. Hmmm, maybe further north. Nope on Vancouver and Anchorage.
Inland more. Any clues?

Re: Goggle Earth: Identify the city
Just a note, someone siad you coulld only get the 3-D Buildings in America, wrong, cause over here in Aussie on google earth we also can see 3-D buildings.
Now back to game, I don't any cities in AMerica, so I am not going to even guess.
