Re: So nobody interested in the new trailer over at .Com or on the Sega site?
It's a very nice cinematic, but some gameplay footage would be better. :smash:

Re: So nobody interested in the new trailer over at .Com or on the Sega site?
Yes it's all marketing and we snobs at the Org are immune to marketing, but hey, it's fun to look forward to seeing a *lot* of guns in action ~:) Clever idea on how to integrate the campaign and battle maps in the ad piece too. When you look at it from a marketer's perspective, it's a very nice piece of work.

Man Oh man they have a release date and cover and all!!! ~D
6th Feb '09!! yay!

Re: So nobody interested in the new trailer over at .Com or on the Sega site?
Just watched the trailer, although it is not on the sega site, had to go to gamespot to watch it. It looked cool, all CGI, no game play so not impressed with it. Glad to see they set a date for release, Feb '09. Only 7 more months until it is out, so I am sure we will get great in game videos by that point. :knight:

Nice trailer! Its also good to hear the official release date aswell. Keep up the good work!

Re: So nobody interested in the new trailer over at .Com or on the Sega site?
from the looks of it, Empire will be good. I'm glad to see a feb '09 release date. Hopefully this means that it will be well tested, and not have all the major bugs and flaws that plagued M2TW early on. :2thumbsup:

Re: So nobody interested in the new trailer over at .Com or on the Sega site?
Show me one from gameplay that shows the battles actually work, I'll be interested. Until then, on me, you're wasting your time and effort.
-
Re: So nobody interested in the new trailer over at .Com or on the Sega site?
Love it. If that's the style you're going for, with similar links between battle map and strategic map in the actual gameplay, I'm well pleased.
-
Re: So nobody interested in the new trailer over at .Com or on the Sega site?
Yeah It looks good alright. Some gameplay footage would Rule though! But Im sure with time and Patience, we sill all be satisfied :) Keep it up Lads!

Re: So nobody interested in the new trailer over at .Com or on the Sega site?
Very spectacular, loved the cannon fire.

Re: So nobody interested in the new trailer over at .Com or on the Sega site?
I know it wasnt in game footage but lets just say the in game visuals and gameplay wont dissapoint when we do release footage.

Re: So nobody interested in the new trailer over at .Com or on the Sega site?
Nice video :2thumbsup:
So what can we expect to see before Xmas? Obviously more screenshots and maybe a gameplay video or two. What about a demo? Will that be January or earlier?
-
Re: So nobody interested in the new trailer over at .Com or on the Sega site?
They'll likely make a demo after the release as they did with Rome:total war, although they
may do what they did with the expansion BI & release it b4 release. Kinda cancels each other
out however I don't think they made a demo for Medieval II so I find it is unlikely they will do as
every1 hopes in making a demo. :shame:

There was a demo for M2TW before release and IIRC the RTW demo was released long before the game as well, no idea where you got your info from. :inquisitive:

Re: So nobody interested in the new trailer over at .Com or on the Sega site?
Ah yes the heady days of the RTW demo. RoDeO, anyone? I don't know if anyone will do surgery on ETW like that but, in the ideal case, no one will feel the slightest need!

I hope this isn't rhetorical.
If it isn't, then my answer is no. No, I am not interested.
(If you don't want an answer, don't ask the question.)

Re: So nobody interested in the new trailer over at .Com or on the Sega site?
Erm...ITS NOT ON THE SEGA SITE, OR ON THE MAIN SITE! Can someone give me a link to the video please....Its not on Any of the sites, and i cant find it. :(

Re: So nobody interested in the new trailer over at .Com or on the Sega site?
Well the official site appears to be down at the moment, but here's a link to both trailers at Gamespot. (The 1st trailer is just a shorter version of the 2nd one, so you may just want to skip straight to the latter.)

Eh, no biggie. As long as a thread has been active within the last 3 months or so, I usually consider it kosher. ~:)

Hmm! This thread seems to have been brought back from the dead. :inquisitive:
Since I made this post there has also been a preview trailer including actual naval battle footage. There are 4 other movies coming.
Anyway I have to get back to the coal face of game development.

Is there a set schedule for the remaining four movies, IS? Or are you just releasing them "whenever they get done"?

I hope they supply you with flashlights down there; it can get pretty dark at times. ~;p
