Probably just your average horse archer in a nomadic army, you get to run around a shoot at peeps, anyone comes close to you, just run off. Sounds cowardly, but hey, it had a good victory record.
I would definitely be in a Galatikoi Tindanotae band or maybe one of the less psychotic celtic or galatian unit's. On second thought I would either be in Galatikoi Lavotuxri (Galatian Heavy Cavalry) or the Galatikoi Kuarothoroi (Galatian Heavy Spearmen)

I'd be a Kretan Archer. A mercenary and also a well trained archer, I could typically avoid direct combat, while making good money. If things got too hairy I could always escape and then sell my services to the victor, as well.

Praetorian Guard definately. the best troops in the best army of the ancient world seems to be the unit i would want to be in.
With a slightly better-than-average understanding of math & physics I'd probably get drafted into the siege engineers, likely some very junior (because I'm not brilliant at either) post. Suits me fine.
But considering my actual location I'd probably end up being the guy working on the Frisianpirateehm, mercantile ships... <_<

Yuezhi horse-archers: We've pretty much traced back our Mongolian heritage as well.
Cappadocian hillmen: My family in Anatolia would probably have been drafted into military service at some point.
Some-spear-wielding Belgian: Since we lived south of the rhine, there is a great chance that when the Romans invaded, my family here was drafted into service to wipe out these invaders.

Fights with freaking axes, got javelins, cool helmets, equally cool shields and armour, bigasss greaves. I'd want to be the Greek medium cavalry, the Hippeis. I'd probably be well off if not slightly rich, wouldn't get used in any major heavy combat, probably paid well, and can run away real fast if it all starts to hit the fan, as it were.

Ideally, either a cataphract of some sort, armored to the teeth and impervious to the blows I receive while smashing, rending and slaughtering my enemies in droves.

At the opposite end, some sort of well armed mounted archer with a VERY fast horse, able to shoot down enemies from a safe distance and run the hell away before being caught!
Also a great likelyhood that I'd inadvertently end up some sort of Gaesatae as well-looking on my younger days, when faced with physical confrontation, I had a scary tendency to really just go berzerk, sort of see red, and become 100% aggressive without a thought for my own well being left- really weird, I was a skinny little 145lb guy at the time and actually scared off several guys much bigger/stronger than myself, that could have easily twisted me into a pretzel. Fear does strange things to me sometimes.
