This is the OOC Thread for Beyond the Seven Hills. This thread is for "Out-Of Character" chat for BtSH players. No important information will ever be posted in here. This thread does not count as a "public thread" for the purposes of the BtSH rules. No information posted in this thread will be considered as binding on the Consul or Dictator. In short, this thread has no official relationship to BtSH in any capacity. It is a chatroom.

@everyone yes tribunus' can vote and second, but not propose. In other news, having problems with getting my damn Recruitable Generals to work so hopefully by tomorrow i can get that going so we can gain new members after this trial here.

FYI, this game will get its own subforum if it gets off the ground and advances a couple turns.

Now, a suggestion. Since we have so few players atm, might it make more sense to disband the congrssional session today rather than tomorrow. I feel that everything has been said; we've all run out of moves and edicts. What do you reckon?

Okay i am proud to say we got RGBs workn now and I will have two ready for next year so we can play with a few more ppl during this trial here.

no i got a couple of PM's who want in besides im only lookin for two more right now..well do three years hopefully get our sub-forum and then im sure we will get a larger crowd...gotta consider its the holidays too

Oh and just a couple of points: In future we need to be careful that the edicts dont contradict each other. I know it was basically unavoidable, but 1.2 kinda only exists because we assume everyone wil vote yes to 1.1. Just a little not for the future, not a contradiction.
And second, can we post anything in the voting polls, like IC story bits, like why we voted how we did and the such?

Go here to take the save and do your moves guys....if you dont know how (download save and put it in you EB saves folder and your all set. Then do your move, save it, compact it to a RAR file, and upload it back on with what you did IC)
hope the trial is going well. i know i sure am looking forward to when we get more people interested

Also, Navarro...You may want to ignore this, but the Roman Family Tree is not designed like some of the other factions trees. I'm probably not going to take the save this turn, still waiting for the accensi to arrive and no point in moving the other units which just arrived because they're still "out of moves"
ya you don always have to move so its no prob but next turn you will be ready to take Taras. Which should be alot easier now that weve got a spy their to possibly open the door haha. With Taras we will be making more money so we will create a new legion then and go north to take out the rebels on our border.
Also- you want me to move ur avatar to Arpi and retrain him?

I would have chosen a more historical approach, ie. take Rhegion, wait a few years for Carthage to attack, then wait a few more decades to attack the Po Celts.
I can see how that could get boring, but still...

edit: it seems potocello is taking very long with the save, nearly half a day, what could he possibly be doing?
Navarro, once everyones settled into the game, would it be stupid to start making decisions on things that cannot exactly be done in EB, but which would have to be done IRL? For instance, I dunno, hosting events, or supply route problems, or diplomatic trips abroad?It might add prestige and influence to the characters, and more depth to the story.
in the rules there is a part about events...checkem out i think thats what you mean. they are all made up and what not ya for fun and can go against the script indeed
also everyone, you will need to decide if you want 4 Hastati, or 2 Hastati and 2 Principes as it states in the rules Standard legions can only have 8 units and your rank can only command 8 units. (4 inf cohorts, 2 ranged, and 2 Calvary, this is not counting the Generals units.) I suggest 2 Principes, 2 Hastati, 2 Accensi, 2 Eqvites Romani, and you and Baens bodyguards.
@Potocello not sure what you were doing but the save remains open and when the full 24 hours or all moves are done i will take it either way. I will move you to where you wanted to be anyway so no worries. Get involved with the Roleplay i find it to be the funnest part.
just 2 principes and 2 hastati for the infantry, that is what's already under my command; and I don't think there are any more hastati that are able to be spared from other provinces since our treasury is rather low.Quote:

you post in the senate thread; I'm not sure whether there is an opening available in Legio I Apulia (currently the only legion in service) right now (because it's up to the emperor (navarro) to decide; if navarro allows, then I have no trouble with you joining as a Tribunus under the Legio I Apulia)
anyway since you're not doing anything with the save, could you kindly update the post in the Dictator and Consul reports to tell the rest to use the previous save please?
and role-playing can be done anywhere, in PMs or in the Senate, you need not necessarily have the save to role-play anything
Well Roka will soon take command of his legion, and he has not, as far as I know, got a tribune prepared. You can always PM him IC Potocello, like a letter. Or just ask publicly in the Senate thread
I would want 3 Hastati, 3 Principes and 3 Triarii to make it more realistic, but as I am actually a nobody for now, I cannot command any troops.
