At an undisclosed location in Belgium, there exists an abandoned, dilapidated frituur. One of the few frituurs to survive the Great Purge, it was never reopened when the owner died of mysterious causes. Few people knew the exact reasons why the frituur escaped the ravages of the fires that destroyed countless other frituurs or even why it was still standing. Some said that the owner still haunted the old frituur and continues to bake fries for his new customers of the night. Others said that because of its remote location, the Agency couldn’t have been bothered to tear it down and had simply forgotten it. Either that the rumors said or it had been purposely ignored. Whatever the reasons may be, soon the bakers gathered round the frituur would soon uncover the frituur’s secrets that have lay hidden in the inner bowels of its fryer for nearly a century. However, it also begs the question.

Why would fourteen of the most promising bakers in the world convene upon such a remote frituur that was located quite literally in the middle of nowhere?

The answer is quite simple of course. They had all received invitations to attend the Formal Revenge of Indo-Europeans That Utilize Usurping Revanchism or the F.R.I.T.U.U.R. and see it in action. All that stood between them and the chance of a lifetime was a bolted door corroded with rust and their own frustrations. And for what seemed like ages, the group of fries bakers continued to wait and wait for that door to swing open to meet the master baker. It wasn’t until evening when one fry baker finally had enough of waiting like a servant does their master.

“And to think I might have been late!” said a slim fry baker with eyes that looked upon others like a cruel little boy does an insect in the palm of his hand.

Another fry baker suddenly rose to his feet and answered tartly. “Oh, stop complaining! You’ve been whining every since you’ve got here. Can’t you see that this is a part of the test? Out of all the fry bakers in the world, only fourteen have been given this rare opportunity to learn from a master. Patience is a virtue, man. Use it. So sit down and shut up!”

Where this conversation might have led was never known for before the fry baker could respond, a resounding thud and a hearty laugh had everyone on their feet.

“‘Sit down and shut up!’ So delicately put! I love it!” chuckled the new voice.

All the fries bakers looked, startled, to the open door, filled by a body so bulky that the head on its shoulders looked too small.

“Now, now, are you just going to stand there like baboons all day or are you here to bake fries?” said the large and jovial man. “It may not look like it but there’s plenty of room in here for all of us. Even if I have to suck in my belly!” the small head reared backward and laughed heartily.

Before them stood a man who looked in his fifties but it was hard to tell since the climate here kept the skin smooth and supple. He was overweight enough to have acquired a second chin and a portly belly, but one could also see the muscles in his arms that were the result of hard, industrious work. Underneath that layer of fat was a strongman’s physique, more like a walrus than a penguin. On his face bore a rather peculiar scar that started just below his temple and worked its way across his cheek and ended on the bridge of his nose. Could it have been a burn? No, on closer inspection the scar was too uniform, too deliberate. And as they shuffled past his imposing body, the students could also see his disfigured nose and that caused many to wonder just exactly what were they getting into.

Welcome to "The Abused Potatoes", my latest small mafia game.

I. Basic mafia rules

Spoiler Alert, click show to read: 

There are several sides in this game, each with their own goal.

Basic mafia rules apply. For those new to mafia, I'll repeat them here, for your convenience:

The bakers are the townies in this game.

The townies are the innocent people and they have to lynch the mafiosi during the day. The mafiosi have to kill a set number of townies each night. When all mafiosi are lynched, the town wins. When all townies are dead, the mafia wins.

Each day or night phase will last 24 hours. This may be extended due to real life circumstances.

The townies have to decide during the day by voting who will get lynched. The person with the most votes, will be lynched.

Votes have to be made like this:

Vote : Andres

When you want to switch your vote, you have to do it like this:

Unvote : Andres ; Vote : TosaInu

Please remember to BOLD YOUR VOTES! UNBOLDED VOTES WILL NOT BE COUNTED! No exceptions will be made.

Note:

In this game, voting "No Lynch" will be counted as an abstain. When a tie is reached at the end of the day, the game host will randomly (as in "completely at random") lynch one of the players in the tie.

In short: there will always be a lynch at the end of the day phase. Yes, yours truly is very bloodthirsty :evil:

II. Specific rules

* Revealing your role "in private" (= outside of this thread) is not allowed.
* It's not allowed to quote role pm's or night actions results in private. Feel free to quote all other pm traffic, including mine (unless I explicity state in a particular pm that you are not allowed to quote it). You can quote/fabricate/forge anything you want in the public thread while being alive. Quoting chatlogs idem ditto.
* Do not post screenshots.
* The dead are allowed to talk in the thread, but cannot communicate about this game outside of the thread.
* No post mortem reveal of role/night actions. no post mortem quoting/copy-pasting of pm's, chatlogs or any other non public communication ("non public communication" as in "communication that occured outside of this thread) you had while still alive. Paraphrasing, alluding, fabricating, forging is allowed.

III. Roles.

- two members of the Anti Fried Potatoe conspiracy : they infiltrated the small group of bakers and will try to eliminate them! If they kill all of them, there will never be fried potatoes anymore and the world will be ruled by the Boiled Potatoe Agency. They are the mafiosi. Depending on how many people sign up, they'll have 1 or 2 kills each night.
- the Master Baker : he will be chosen ad random and his identity will be revealed in public. Cannot be killed by the mafia until he's the last "townie" left. He cannot vote but may chose the lynch method. If Draco Leman would sign up for this game, then he'll get the Master Baker position.
- a secret role.

He gave a few of the promising bakers a friendly slap on the shoulder which caused some of them to almost fall on the floor and they all entered the little shag.

"Here, I prepared you guys some food," fat Beefy187 said.

"Indeed, it does," Beefy187 added. "This is what you guys will learn from me, to bake the best fries in the world and conquer the world with it! The Formal Revenge of Indo-Europeans That Utilize Usurping Revanchism will once again rule the world and will end the tyranny of the Boiled Potatoe Agency and their Anti Fried Potatoe conspiracy!"

seireikhaan couldn't sleep and so he went out for a walk.

It was chilly that day and, as usual in Belgium, it was raining. He looked for some shelter and ran towards a tree.

He didn't notice the man in the shadows who knocked him down with a metal pan.

An hour or so later, he found himself tied up.

"Hahaha!" a man said.

Two pair of hands sticked seireikhaan in a frying pan, together with about four hundred potatoes.

"Hahahaha!" the same man said.

"Frankly, dear sir, I don't see the humour of this situation. Would you be so kind to explain it to me, since I personally do not find this particular situation very funny."

"Hahaha! We're going to fry you!"

"Ehm, well, I still don't get what's so funny about... abou.. A.. AAAAAAAAA!!!!!"

"Hahaha!"

Reenk Roink also went outside. It was still raining. He ran towards what seemed to be a bar.

He opened the door and found himself in a big room. He walked through the room when suddenly, a trapdoor on the ceiling opens. Thousands of Fried Potatoes fall out. A dark figure however ran into the room and pushed Reenk Roink aside, thus saving his life. Before Reenk Roink could thank his saviour, he or she was already disappeared.

He hurried back to the frituur.

The Abused Potatoes - Day 1

Beefy187 woke up. After a quick and healthy breakfeast of fries with mayonnaise and two hamburgers, he opened the door and found a human body presented on a silver plate and surrounded by fried potatoes. An enveloppe lies next to the dish. It has "Le grand 'khaan aux patates frites" written on it.

Beefy187, who was now surrounded by the distressed bakers, opens the enveloppe and starts reading the message:

"Boiled potatoes don't kill people... Fried Potatoes do!"

Beefy187 sighed.

"Gentlemen, this is cleary the work of the Boiled Potatoe Agency. Apparently one or two of their agents have infiltrated us. I don't know you and you don't know each other, so I guess we'll have to use votes to find out who is guilty. Obviously, I'm innocent, so you can't vote me. I will guide the proceedings and decide on the lynching method. To ensure my impartiality, I will not vote."

The bakers looked at each other and started to discuss...

Killing khaan doesn't seem very "inexperienced". Khaan is one of the most veteran (I think), around this game rooster.

It seems like theirs been a trend of killing off the more experianced players lately. Ethier way, its hard to tell who the mafia could be off of one kill.

Khaan is usually a lynch bait as lots of people consider him scummy..

So Ichigos accusation seems logical to me, although there is a possibility of cunning tactics.

In a 15 people standerd game, there should be at least 2 mafias and possible SK (although its not mentioned)

The only person who will fit the "fairly new" category would be Captain Blackadder. Surely his partner would've disagreed.

My conclusion is that it was done by a cunning player who knows what will confuse the town...

Also Reenk was attacked by Fried potatoes? Why would getting hit by our beloved Fried potatoes take his life?

Not necessarily in the game I ran on twc I gave some of the Mafia an option to fake an attempt on their own lives whilst it could be that the doctor managed to get a save on the first round which in my mind is unlikely since it is a one in 14 shot. It is not enough for me to vote on but I will keep an eye out on reenk.

Anyway it seems fairly obvious to me that the Mafia are trying to set me up for the fall if this is truly a novice move or they are doing what all good Mafia do killing of those likely to talk.

I wouldn't exactly call it trying to start a bandwagon against you. Maybe poor logic, but it's not worthy of the reaction it received. Why are you taking it so personal?

Tone is hard to convey over the internet I have not taken it personally I was mearly defending myself in what I felt was a calm and ligical manner if it has being taken another way I do appoligise and will try to make my comments clearer in the future.

Seirekhaan is probably the pick of the bunch as of experience, same could be said about Reenk. The murder pattern seemingly starts from the most experienced, but this is no evidence to suspect Blackadder, who although might be a newcomer to the org. but is no stranger to the game mafia. Picking off experienced players is a wise move and I don't see why this could be a direct frame at Blackadder.

The write up seems to indicate that there is a protector around. But the murdering method of being hit by 'thousands of fried potatoes' seemed strange, and as Blackadder said earlier its a bit suspcious. I deliberately failed by murdering attempt at Pevergreen a while ago in Fenring's mafia to shift the blame on him, FactionHeir notiched the attempt could be botched and urged everyone to suspect Pever despite him seemingly surviving a murder attempt. The write-up does seem to support the protector role, but the chance of successfully protecting someone on night 1 is increadiblely low. And more ever the target of protection is Reenk, who comes off as a scummy character in most of the games... and ends up as the scum as well.

The Abused Potatoes - Day 1 - Conclusion.

Still shocked by the looks of the "'khaan aux patates frites" dish, the gathered bakers weren't very talkative.

Slowly they started pointing fingers at each other, without adding too much reasons. It seemed like they were all just guessing.

At the end of the day, it came out that a certain Ichigo had the most votes.

Beefy187 turned to Ichigo.

"It seems like you are being accused of being a member of the Anti Fried Potatoe Conspiracy!"

"That's nonsense. It's clearly that guy who arrived last. Look, he's the militaristic type! Surely the Conspirators would send somebody with military experience. It's him, not me!"

"I'm sorry, Mister Ichigo, but democracy never fails," Beefy187 said with a loud voice, not tolerating protests.

"But since we are not murderes, we will put you in jail and feed you fried potatoes!"

"Well, that's a relief."

However, at that moment, the sky opened and a godly voice said:

"THOU SHALL KILL, NOT JAIL!"

"Meh, get lost, you wannabe godlike being!" Beefy187 said and Ichigo was locked up in a room, surrounded by fried potatoes.

"Cool! Fried potatoes!" Ichigo said and he started to eat; the potatoes were so delicious that he just couldn't stop. Indeed, it were delicously delicious potatoes, fried by the Master Baker Beefy187 himself. And so, Ichigo continued to eat. He hardly noticed how his stomach inside him exploded and kept going until he died of several internal injuries.

Beefy187 started shaking his fist towards the sky.

"Why are you so cruel! I said I wanted to jail the suspects, not kill them!"

The bakers went back to the frituur where they would try to get some sleep.

Because originally I did not plan to vote for you I was going to wait and see if someone who was more suspicious came around but they did not so I voted for you sorry about that btw.

I am now suspicious of my saviour Shlin he un voted myself saying that it would tie things when in the end it is what killed Ichigo. Perhaps it is a subtle way of trying to avoid the bandwagon accusation that comes with being the third to vote someone. However all of my thoughts hinge on one thing what happens if there is a draw? Since many hosts have different rules I will continue my analysis based on the three possible outcomes.

A) If draw then double lynch

If that is the case the disregard all my previous comments since all mafia would love to get a double lynch of two innocents thus it is unscummy behaviour to get rid of the tie

B) If draw no lynch since 5 people voted for that

Then Shlin's behaviour is very suspicious and rather scummy if there was no chance that I a relative newbie here would die then his reason for doing it must be different.

C) If draw random lynch
This would be neither here nor there it could be scummy an attempt by a mafia player to get a townie myself on side or it could be as he said an attempt to stop myself from getting lynched.
