Any would be fine, but I kinda like murder manor, or south park, the best out of them all.

2/3/4 are fine with me.

Re: Mini Mafia IV- Sign ups
In please.
1, 4, and 3 would be appreciated in that order.
-
Re: Mini Mafia IV- Sign ups
No one wants to see hot Klingon on Romulan action eh? Or watch Seven of Nine tackle a Ferengi and subdue him with her Borg nanoprobes? :eyebrows: Then there's always Picard and Crusher engaging in close quarters combat... rowr.....
South Park is getting pretty popular, but Star Wars is still hanging in there.

Star Wars Mafia?? Your thread names, they are deceiving! I'll be following this on its short run, even if I'm not playing.

Re: Mini Mafia IV- Sign ups
I've got the roles, but I am still balancing the game. I've decided to tweak it slightly from my other mini games, and I need to make sure all factions have a chance of winning and the game makes sense.
Standby.
Edit: Ok a fellow game host said it was balanced, so... here we go... :sweatdrop:

Re: Mini Mafia IV- (In Play)
a long long time ago in a galaxy far far away...
Star Wars: The Fallen
The last of the old Sith Lords have been extinguished, but Dark Side itself cannot be purged from the universe. With the Force brought back into balance, and no one left to claim the Sith legacy, a schism in the Force has appeared; a vortex of Dark Side energy, contained within it a secondary plane of existence; an eternal corridor. Some bits of the former universe still exist, as if an echo of what once was. However, in this timeless expanse, the Fallen are able to wander freely. Given new life, they are now plotting their return from the Force itself.
The Force is balance, however, and even this Dark Corridor is permeable to the Light side of the Force. The Fallen are not alone. Jedi Masters who joined the Force have appeared as well... and they know they must stop the Sith from returning from death, and then collapse the vortex, destroying this aberration. They appear much as they did in their past lives, and through psychic concentration they can appear in physical form, or even alter their appearance temporarily.
The Fallen Sith and Jedi meet once again in the Corridor... but the Dark Side clouds everything, even for the Sith. It is impossible to determine who these other beings really are. In the void of darkness and death, the Dark Lords of the Sith will attempt to claw their way back to existence and exact revenge against the Jedi... for if they fail, they must return to the oblivion from whence they came.

Re: Mini Mafia IV- Sign ups
ROLE PMS ARE BEING SENT OUT NOW.
One bit of advice: I wouldn't rush to claim a character. You might not want to reveal yourself to the rest of the players unless it's quite necessary... You may certainly claim to be one publicly, but watch out... the Dark Side clouds everything. And remember... read the rules and your role PMs carefully.
After you get your role PM, feel free to start talking or voting.

Interesting pick of Sith Lords and Jedi, since most of those Sith never coexisted with those Jedi. :clown:
I guess being the first game post and this game having no night phase I'll random Vote: Splitpersonality. Are you Sith or Jedi?

Ah but are the Sith mafia in this game? From the writeup it could be the Jedi as well as the Sith. It really doesn't say. ATPG is sneaky after all and his games always have a twist.
I surmize from this that you are Sith. You received a Sith role with a Jedi cover role and thus assumed the Sith were mafia. Hence your accusation. Or perhaps I'm completely off track as it is very late for me at the moment.
anyways, I'm still not sure which side is town and which is mafia. My theory of the moment is that they are neither.
For now I will Unvote, Vote: Abstain

Aww.. I was hoping for another TE style reaction from you...
Sith are the minority in this game from what I can gather from my role pm.
For a change, I guess they get to have a kill or something.
Anyway, I used my force and I think TheFlax is on the opposite team of me.

Re: Mini Mafia IV- Sign ups
Ah crap, it looks like it is a free-for-all game. Is there any way to actually know who is who? Is Master Yoda a detective role? Is Darth Vader able to get night kills? Does anyone know anything?
That is all.

You know what would be hiliarious, if that is correct. We were all Jedi or something like that.

Re: Mini Mafia IV- Sign ups
Well this is going to be an interesting game. I don't think there are town or mafia according to the intro write up, just sith and jedi. And we fight in an alternate universe. Very strange... but interesting-typical Pizzaguy.
Well this being the 1st round, and typically no one knows anything, a random guess is all we can do.
So:

In all fairness, it was an early random vote, and I changed it.
Meanwhile according to Beefy and Diana I am guilty because: "Anyway, I used my force and I think TheFlax is on the opposite team of me." and "Something about him, disturbed the force, when he posted."
Can't you two muster up some sort of real argument against me? Its not I've been lurking or anything.

Re: Mini Mafia IV- Sign ups
Yes, I too am making a joke. The first round, as I stated, no one knows anything, so all we can do is make a random guess. I also stated that I was thinking of changing my vote to beefy, But not sure yet. I think you protest and get defensive too quickly, my friend, not the mind of a Jedi. Hummmmm
-
Re: Mini Mafia IV- Sign ups
Its my job to defend myself from those who have placed a vote on me, for they are misguided. :clown:
In all seriousness, yes, I can't really expect anyone to have a good reason to lynch someone, but I was trying to get more discussion going on, its pretty much the only way we can gather information since there is no night phase.

Joke? In the Jedi council? I think not.
Master TheFlax. I am dead serious of my suspecions. If I am wrong about you being the Sith, then it simply means I have long way ahead to master the force :shame:
Meanwhile, just incase you turn out innocent, I have already asked master Yoda to take care of your padawans

Re: Mini Mafia IV- (IN PLAY)
Battle One
The Lord of the Sith walked down the long, strange, Dark Corridor. Surrounding him on all sides was nothing more than a swirling vortex of time and space, twisted by the Dark Side. The catwalk was a bizarre and random pattern of various materials, suspended in the void with nothing apparently supporting them, and large gaps in between. Energy and matter seemed to bend to his will... his connection to the force allowing him to twist reality as he saw fit. This enabled Revan to hide his identity. He was quite attuned to the Force... he could sense a presence behind him. What foolish amateur thinks they can sneak up on a Sith Lord? The lightsaber popped instantly into his hand and with a quick twist, a brilliant blue light flashed, and the familiar sound of sabers clashing was heard. A purple lightsaber crackled with powerful energy and some light reflected off of his attacker's face, but it was difficult to see.
Somehow, the attacker seemed very familiar... a presence he had felt before. But who? It was difficult to tell the true identity because of the shroud of the Dark Side. But there was no time. The attacker swung his blade with ruthless precision, impressive strength, and aggressive posturing. The movements even seemed familiar, and Darth Revan countered each blow masterfully.
Ducking a swing, Revan tripped his attacker and then rolled off of the catwalk and onto one of the strange suspended matter fragments below. Anticipating being followed, he commanded several of the other matter fragments to move, and they hurtled towards the mysterious attacker. The figure swung his blade with terrifying force and hacked the materials in two, deflecting them from his body, and then leaped downward, flipping in such a way that he was falling head first, lightsaber outstretched for the killing blow. Revan blocked the blade with his own and grabbed the wrist of his attacker, preventing further blade swings. That's when he swung his own weapon precisely, attempting to sever the attacker's head from his body. The dark figure ducked and dropped his saber, and used the force to guide it to his other hand, swiftly blocking the second swing. These two were nearly equals, and the battle threatened to be a stalemate, but the attacker was slightly more powerful and he edged the blade closer and closer and closer to Revan's neck...
With a boot to the chest, Revan flipped his attacker over his head and got up, and did a Force-assisted leap back up to the main catwalk. Convinced now that the only option was retreat, Revan flew down the Dark Corridor as fast as his legs could carry him. He sensed that an object was hurtling towards his head at high velocity, so he twisted mid-stride and deflected it with his lightsaber, seeing his attacker running after him... but he lost his concentration and tripped on the unlevel pathway and fell into one of the gaps, reaching desperately for anything to stop him from falling... he grabbed ahold of the next section of catwalk and realized it wasn't attached to anything... the fragment spun in place, still suspended, and now Revan was clinging to a piece of some smooth shiny material with jagged edges, upside-down... if there was such a thing in this place.
The figure with the purple light saber jumped on top of the catwalk fragment, and was surprised by how unsteady it was. But he knew his target was vulnerable. On the other side, Revan took hold of the catwalk with one hand and his lightsaber in the other, and he prepared to swing himself to the other side and deal the finishing blow. But suddenly a purple flash came from the catwalk itself, and ran him through the chest. Revan felt no pain, but he knew that it went straight through his heart...
On the other side, the attacker heard the loud gasp of death, and felt his blade hit something on the other side of the catwalk. Withdrawing his blade, he heard the telltale sound of someone letting go of the catwalk and hurtling through space... downward... into the void.
Darth Revan could no longer maintain the illusion surrounding him... as he went unconscious, he changed back into...

I was Obiwan, disguised as Raven.
Jedi are supposed to have numerical advantage so I don't see the needs of cover role unless Sith openly starts declaring.
-
Re: Mini Mafia IV- (IN PLAY)
The image shows who Beefy really was; Master Kenobi.
The hidden identity is who he really was. He was hiding using the Force.
-
Re: Mini Mafia IV- (IN PLAY)
Ahhh I see now, thank you. Sorry if I asked a stupid question.
-
Re: Mini Mafia IV- (IN PLAY)
I just noticed the player list "Rejoined the force"
I lol'd a little.
Alright, so Mace Windu seemed to have killed Obi-Wan, or someone disguised as him at least
Darn shame to lose such a good student of the force, he will be missed.
-
Re: Mini Mafia IV- (IN PLAY)
I think there is a connection between the two lists, after all, Raven and Kenobi were number 1 on the list, and my role and cover role is at the same position too. However, knowing what role and cover roles are linked still won't say who is the Sith amongst us.
aka:
Darth Revan - Master Kenobi
Darth Nihilus - Master Windu
Darth Malak -Master Qui-Gon Jinn
Darth Sion -Master Ki-Adi Mundi
Darth Traya - Master Yoda
Darth Sidious -Master Kit Fisto
Darth Vader - Master Plo Koon
If I wanted to make assumptions, if Kenobi was hiding as a sith, would a sith be hiding as a Jedi? Therefore, if Mace Windu was the killer (purple sabre, etc) could it be that it was actually Nihilus in disguise who killed Kenobi? Does the information actually vindicate Windu of actually being Master Windu due to Kenobi was able to recognise the skill and if knowledge serves right, Nilihus just sucks the life force out of people.
Any case, we need to find who Windu/Nilihus is as they could be either a confirmed Jedi or a possible Sith.
-
Re: Mini Mafia IV- (IN PLAY)
Mine don't match up like that though, and I will not reveal mine of course, and I am neither of those names.
Edit.
Cross that, mine DO match.
-
Re: Mini Mafia IV- (IN PLAY)
Oh, mine did and so did Kenobi's, so I assumed. Or.. are the two Sith have each others pairing? Would be interesting to see after the game if that is correct or not.
You are none of the names listed? But the names are from Pizza's list.
-
Re: Mini Mafia IV- (IN PLAY)
I mean I'm not the Windu/Nilihus combination or either of them seperately.
*facepalm*
I rechecked and mine do match up like that, stupid me.
-
Re: Mini Mafia IV- (IN PLAY)
Wow, great write up as usual Mr. Host.
Mine line up as well with the list. I don't know even half of the characters though.
So Beefy was a Jedi, Darn it. Well for Beefy I will vote as he wanted, he thought that TheFlax was on the opposite team that he was, and wanted him to go down. He was sure TheFlax was Sith.
"If I die, can someone take TheFlax with me." Very well my friend, your dying wish I will try to grant.

Re: Mini Mafia IV- (IN PLAY)
I maintain I am a Jedi, but I guess you'll have to lynch me if you want to be certain. The only reason a voted Beefy was to make sure I didn't die, I was pretty certain he was not Sith, but I was even more certain I was not Sith. (Hopefully that makes sense. :clown:)
I for one will vote for the one who hasn't posted yet (unless he has a replacement). I'd hate to see someone not participating having a win because he passed under the radar. If the situation changes before the end of the round, I'll change my vote.

Re: Mini Mafia IV- (IN PLAY)
Battle Two
The Master made his way carefully down the corridor. In the darkness, he had to rely on his senses to detect the presence of the others... and there was someone approaching. He could sense that it was someone with great knowledge of the Dark Side. This one came from the front, and there was no escape. Kit Fisto could not see who it was, but he could see the flash of a lightsaber being drawn. Fisto drew his as well, from where it was hidden in the sleeve of his cloak.
This attacker wasted no time, and attempted to destroy the Jedi right away. Their blades clashed, and it was obvious that this one was physically very strong. After deflecting several blows, Master Fisto changed into his more familiar fencing style and started to elegantly parry each thrust, making use of his greater experience and skill rather than relying on this form's brute force. The attacker seemed unfazed by the change in style, and continued to hack away at him in anger. This did not help matters, because Master Fisto was able to foresee each attack and did not need to rely on speed or strength, just his knowledge of the Force. The harder the assailant fought, the more he wasted his energy. However, the murderous one kept advancing, pushing him further and further back, until Fisto had his back to an open section of the catwalk, and beyond that the catwalk seemed to go vertically, as if the entire section had been destroyed by some explosion and then just hung there in space for no reason.
With another aggressive slash, the powerful assailant weakened Master Fisto, and he was not able to block the next swipe, so he did a Force-assisted leap against the vertical walkway behind him and flipped back directly over his attacker in one smooth motion... quite unusual for a Jedi such as Kit. Master Fisto flashed a menacing grin and changed styles once again, this time taking his attacker by surprise and moving to a more swift and aggressive form, which was unexpected. Using his connection to the Force, he also summoned a burst of supernatural strength to overpower his assailant, completely stunning him. The hunter was now the hunted.
With a look of hatred and malice, Master Fisto advanced on his prey, eyes glowing yellow and red. He raised his lightsaber high and began viciously counterattacking, each cruel swipe dedicated to destruction and death. He began to cackle with glee at the sudden look of mortal terror on the face of his Jedi opponent.
Fisto's red lightsaber blade connected in a powerful blow to his opponent's, and it knocked the blade from his hands.
"Do not underestimate me..." hissed Master Fisto, as he swung his blade around like a master swordsman, about to deliver the climactic finish. Just then, the assailant pulled a second blade out his cloak and its brilliant blue light flashed in the eyes of Fisto, temporarily blinding him and leaving him unprepared for the contact of a foot hitting his chin, which sent Fisto onto his back, and his red lightsaber clattering down the walkway and off the edge into the abyss.
The blue lightsaber illuminated the face of the attacker... it appeared to be Jedi Master Ki-Adi Mundi. Enraged at the sight of a Jedi, "Master Fisto" dropped the facade and blasted the fool with brilliant blue energetic Force Lightning. Master Mundi gracefully deflected the blow with his own saber, and was able to concentrate on reflecting it back towards Fisto, whose disguise seemed to melt away with each terrifying second of his hatred spewing forth from his fingertips. It was none other than Darth Sidious, Lord of the Sith and one of the most powerful Sith Lords ever to have existed.
Revealing this truth, Master Mundi smirked and continued to deflect the Force Lightning. However, Sidious had his Force Lightning deflected before by pathetic Jedi, and knew enough to summon even more concentration and try to overload the lightsaber itself, which was acting like a lightning rod. As painful as it was for Sidious, he concentrated a burst of power and flashed it at Master Mundi, and although most of it reflected back and tore his face apart, it successfully blew the lightsaber to bits as some of it hit the hilt and damaged the circuitry. Horribly scarred even worse than before, Darth Sidious stalked his now helpless prey... and unleashed even more Force Lightning at the Jedi. But he was weakened, and his prey was still strong.
Master Mundi felt the pain and the agony of repeated bursts of Force energy... so familiar to him... and with every blow he seemed to only grow more and more determined to resist. He was lying on the catwalk in agony, but Sidious was weakening... he saw his chance. He tried to reach out with the force and get his red lightsaber, but Sidious saw what he was doing and destroyed it with a blast of Dark Side energy.
"Young fool.... only now, at the end, do you understand."
Another burst of brilliant Force energy sent Mundi reeling.
"Your feeble skills are no match for the power of the Dark Side...."
Another bolt was blocked by Ki-Adi Mundi, but the damage was done.
"You have paid the price for your lack of vision."
More painful bursts were sent in the direction of the Jedi.
"And now, young Jedi... you will die."
How predictable, thought Mundi. Now was his chance. He leaped to his feet and unleashed a hellish blast of the energy he had been absorbing from Sidious, reflecting back all the pain and agony he had felt. This blast was far more powerful than anything Sidious had been able to summon, as it was concentrated into a red blast of Force Destruction... and it tore Darth Sidious apart.
"NOOOOOOOO!!!!!"
Howled the Sith Lord, whose shell of a body released his living energy, and it was cast into the vortex at the center of this Dark Corridor, causing the entire cosmos to vibrate and thunder with a great disturbance in the Force. Master Mundi was much worse for wear after the battle... Darth Sidious was able to slaughter so many Jedi... for one to defeat him was quite unexpected, especially for Sidious. Master Mundi threw on a cloak and quickly left the scene to avoid being detected, and tried desperately to keep his face hidden from any others who might have witnessed the battle.

Re: Mini Mafia IV- (IN PLAY)
I loved the write up.
Mundi seems to be a Jedi, after all, he did kill one of the Sith.
Also, I think it is a special note, lynching the lurker is actually a good idea. We got a sith out of it. So on that note, I will vote: pevergreen

Re: Mini Mafia IV- (IN PLAY)
Ki-Adi Mundi is a Sith in disguise.
1. He opened up with a red lightsaber, while in the other writeup Obi-Wan and Windu started the battle with their own lightsaber colors, blue for the former and purple for the latter.
2. Ki-Adi Mundi shows emotion in the writeup, for example : "The attacker seemed unfazed by the change in style, and continued to hack away at him in anger." Real Jedi Masters do not usually display such emotions.
3. Ki-Adi Mundi use the force to harm a living being in the writeup, which is a Dark Side action. Not only that, but the force power he uses is named "Force Destruction", which leaves little to the imagination. In my opinion this is a powerful Dark Side power, especially since he draws on "pain and agony".
We are dealing here with Darth Sion.
1. Darth Sion is a brute with little style or imagination, the fighting style in the writeup mirrors that.
2. Darth Sion is a man shattered in many pieces held together only by his anger; he is in constant pain and is almost impossible to destroy. We Sidious uses Force Lightning repeatedly on "Ki-Adi Mundi" we can read this: "Master Mundi felt the pain and the agony of repeated bursts of Force energy... so familiar to him... and with every blow he seemed to only grow more and more determined to resist." He then proceeds to endure many bursts of Force Lightning with seemingly little effects on him save for increased levels of pain. Ki-Adi Mundi would probably have not been able to survive such an onslaught, and if it he did, he would not have been able to spring back up on his feet right after and unleash a devastating Force Power.
On an unrelated note.
Vote: Diana Abnoba
"Your lack of faith is disturbing."
Note: I will be away for most of the day. I voted this way because I heeded the warning of Jedi Master Obi-Wan Beefanobi about bandwaggons. This vote is mainly to create discussion and I hope I won't come back to witness a massive bandwaggon on pevergreen. Of all the people left, my gut is pointing at Diana at the moment, probably in paranoia because she has voted for me in every round. In short, I have no case, no analysis, no proof, but I have the feeling she is in fact Sith in disguise. Make of it what you will.

Re: Mini Mafia IV- (IN PLAY)
Great writeup.
We need to find Ki-al, it seems he is a sith, and must die.
