Dark Descent - Small Mafia Game [Concluded]

Dark Descent

Far away from the ravages of the constant warfare between the tyrannical ECD and avarice consumed Combine, there was a lone mining outpost upon some godforsaken tidally locked planet. Crewed by a mere 15 humans, their task was an endless one - to mine the unnamed planet until it was but a husk in the name of profit.

So far away was this outpost, that the concept of war between the Combine and ECD was alien to them - they were distant powers, and they had nothing to do with the daily hardship onboard, were anyone was welcome so long as they could lend a hand - united in struggle, together in profit.

They had long worked out a system with a nearby privately owned military supply station, and the system worked like clockwork. The mercenaries were payed 40% of what was mined, and the miners in turn received protection and supplies. Soon, those onboard the immense mining rig would be free from their labors to pursue their remaining life in leisure.

Such is the best laid plans...

As you all know, there has been a string of sabotage on the rig, and nothing is safe - most recently, the coffee machine was turned into an espresso time bomb - hilarious yes, but the fact is it was intended maliciously. Left and right things have begun to malfunction, and it has proven extremely costly, let alone the fear that now runs rampant amongst the crew, and a few have died already from the sabotage. The Head of Security has decided to put a stop to it once and for all, and has denied replacements for all broken equipment until the saboteur has been found.

You all have been called into the mess hall, you have all been told what to do - you will select one amongst you upon waking who you think is the saboteur, and he will be confined to the brig. The mercenaries have sent along one of their drill sergeants to maintain order, and their cut of the profit as well.

I suggest you all hurry, cause anything could be next - even the life support systems, and we don't have much air that isn't recycled. Get to it miners!

Welcome to Dark Descent, a small mafia game host by yours truly, YLC.

Rules

1. Everyone shall receive a role PM, custom tailored for each person. Each role will require you to roleplay that role if you wish to utilize it's ability. You may quote your PM freely in thread, but may not do so outside of the thread unless your role says you can, explicitly. Please keep within the spirit of this rule.

2. Both the day and night phase are 24 hours each. However, they can be shortened if the round is asked to be ended early by the person with the most votes during the day. 12 hour extensions will be implemented based upon activity.

3. Please follow the standard format for voting - Vote: YLC, Unvote:YLC. Unbolded votes will not be counted, and new votes that are made without unvoting first will be discounted as well. Abstain or No Lynch are also legal voting selections.

4. Please post at least once each day phase - I am running a tight ship, and those who miss 2 day phases in a row will be WoC'ed (Wrath of Chaos), no exceptions. I will also WoC rule abusers on their second offense.

5. I reserve to add rules here if something gamebreaking comes to my attention

you are entitled to your own opinions, but the fact is you cant just rely on luck. assuming you will be able to pick the mafia out of a group is stupid. like for example I am getting weird vibes from you, if you were mafia it is quite understandable for you to try and get the town to lynch as many people as you can as that would make your job easier. if we lynch someone that is one less person the mafia has to kill, that is my reason for no lynch, until we have some proof.

When you go down into the dark, dank, dangerous mining shafts, it is only luck that determines whether that shiny yellow thing you see off in the distance is a nugget of pure gold, or only a stray piece of radioactive cheese.

Thus, I do believe luck will play a large factor in our finding of this person of dangerosity.
