Hi, I'm new here
I came here after hearing about you guys at the org at TWC. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about that site being down?
I think this happened last year as well, kinda annoying, if they don't get it back up looks like I'm here!!:laugh4:
So just wondering if anyone knows anything, there were a few mods I wanted to download for ETW that were on that site but
dont seem to be available here:shame:

Hopefully we don't get a repeat of the last time, when both the Org and TWC went down at the same time. :no:
It's down, it's no maintenance or upgrade.
Garb said that it will take at least 24 hours to get it back up again.
It seems to be semi-up at the moment. I can access the main index, but clicking on a topic gives me a database error screen.
I tried logging on as well and the page wouldn't open. It just seemed to refresh the page I was on. When I opened a new tab, it said it couldn't access the web page. I thought it was just my browser. Good to know (in a way) that it's only the TW Center being down. Hopefully it's up soon, for I like to visit it from time to time.

For me it's just the forums. Everything else is working fine. The store, downloads, and wiki are all accessible but the forum like spartan said only gives me database error message.
For me its hit and miss, anything that needs to go through the database is a maybe. I can't access the main forum page, but I can access various subforums, I can open certain threads but not others. Its weird.
same thing with me, i hope this is fixed soon, anyone knows what happened exactly?
Thank goodness i finally know whats going on. I registered here just so i can post this. I have been having issues accessing the TWC forum in which i am a member.
I have tried writing the Administrators but can get my email to go through. It seems like we only have limited access but no access to the main site like making new posts etc.
Its very perplexing to say the least and frustrating.At least i know what the issue is.I thank you guys for the info. I know someone mentioned that it maybe down for 24hrs it has been down for way longer than that as it stands now it has been nearly 2 days.
Anyhow it is a pleasure to meet everyone here. Maybe you guys can tell me what this forum is all about. As i been a member of the TWC well over 2 in a half yrs now. I might just like it here as well.
This forum would make a nice occasional visit. It is quite friendly. You might find the TW game foums a little empty though. They don't get much traffic here. Not like the TW Center anyway. Still nice though.Quote:

GED can't get in remotely, and he doesn't know when he can get to the server. Sim's away for the sabbath, but I don't know how relevant that is, as GED can't even get remote access.
Ah! How will I know if the latest version of the Third Age has been released? What if its crashed because of hte bajillion people swarming to download it?
Google's web-cache copy can keep you "almost" up-to-date. I'm sure all will be well soon.Quote:

Also, I've Been trying a new mod for M2TW, called clouds across Europe, now I am playing as England, i changed the time scale to 0.50 so its only like 1108, i cannot train ANY special units, i get peasant archers, armoured sergeants and thats it. i checked building browser and the top buildings say thats the only thing i can train too. Is this because its so early or something else!

My brain hurts, I've been thinking all night "Did we lose TWC on accident or were we meant to lose it?". All this time we've been surviving under the thought that TWC has had some sort of accident, but what if we were cast out? Did we perhaps anger the TWC Gods? Did we take the gift we call TWC for granted, became greedy and were punished for it in return? If all this is true, then perhaps we should make a sacrifice to the TWC Gods to please them.
But what could we possible sacrifice? All we have is each other...... yes each other. This was obviously meant to be, the Gods demand a human sacrifice, they want to see the blood flow.
No! How could I think like this, I can't go around sacrificing my fellow victims, that's immoral.....

I heard a rumour that steam sent in an army of nano-bots and they ate the TWC server, don,t know if GEG managed to get out! ha ha.

Does anybody know how long TWC will be down for or how far the people who run the site are to get it running?
Is shall be down until it is up. This is a holiday weekend and perhaps planned family activities will take a priority. Eat well. Hotdogs, hamburgers, baseball, and fireworks are a better choice for today than TWC (apologies to our foreign friends). :2thumbsup:
I don't know how is it in Colorado, but here it was better to stay home because of the temperature outside... :wink:

He also knows EVERYTHING about ALL totalwar mods and he is perfectly up to date about the situation at the TWC. Just drop him a few pm's a day, he'll be glad to help you out! He also knows everything about women and relationships. In fact, you can pm him about everything and he'll reply within 15 minutes with the answer you were always looking for since the day you were born. He's our local hero.
What is difered here from TWC is that anyone can not a preview announcement when he wants to...:no::help:
Also the hosted M2TW mods are still the same since i 1st registered here three years ago.:shame:
GrnEyedDvl and Simetrical are the server guys. I can maintain parts of the TWC virtual world, but if there are RW problems, they're the ones we rely on. Sim is desperately trying to recruit more techies, but not many people outside specialist forums have the necessary level of expertise.Quote:
