ITS AWESOME!
i cant wait for STW2!
Good job indeed.
My only criticism is, what is with the Wizard on the new posts?
Lovely stuff, but it appears to have displaced the bland blue skin that I really, really liked. It was my default for years. And now it's gone. *sniff*
I think the database is still doing something. The Breeze seems bit messed up indeed as it look likes combination of the old and STW.If you pick the STW skin, it will show all the new skins features.
Awesome!
It's kind of bloody.
Am I the only one who thinks it looks a bit like what a Third Reich skin would like?
:loud applauds:
Tosa san
You can forget about the rule line between the posts & sigs in the Guild skin!
Cool beans.:7ninja:
Looks great!!
I just switched to it, I must agree, it is quite nice. I'm glad for that, I did't like the changes made to the guild style, which I had been using for quite some time.
It seems to have changed some of the colors of the Guild skin?
Blank bands and black text seems to have been carried over. By the way what are those symbols beside people's avatar names? Some have these samurai guys and some have what looks like an 'x' or the legs of said samurai guy. I find it quite stange.Quote:

edit:
I figured out what this means: online and offline. Dumb ol' me!Quote:

Yeah, stuff from the guild skin has been changed, but the only thing that really matters is the top bar has gone black, and the post quick reply/go advanced etc is red.
The new text style is kinda cool.
A little issue I have noticed is that links are no longer blue or underlined unless you scroll over them. Like this.
That just looks slightly bolded.
Definitely an improvement over the previous options. They weren't bad, but this has a bit more character. Now, if we could just get Sengoku back. :smartass:
Thanks for all the work, Tosa.
Tried it out; now I switched back to The Guild.
It looks like some of it is bleeding through. The bar at the top of the thread will occasionally go black and some of the writing turns red.
The white on red for anything with a white background is getting painful after about 6 hours of constant browsing. Its a bright red.
I havent noticed as Breeze which i have been using is lot more white then STW.
Kagemusha made this nice skin.
It wasn't supposed to alter any of the others, I guess I caused that or the import system is buggy.
Nice. Good blend between the classic STW skin and new influences. Plus the site coordinates with my avatar for everyone, not only those who selected the (sadly missing since upgrade) sword dojo skin.
Hehe, it's a kneeling teppu ashigaru - a footsoldier with a musket. When there are new posts he's firing his gun, when there aren't he's merely aiming it.
The 'X' is a folding stool of the kind commanders used to sit on. The other icon shows a tiny samurai warlord seated on his stool and brandishing his war fan.
Are there others beside pevergreen who´s eyes are melting as a bit more broken white could be applied if necessary?
In STW skin, the box is supposed to have a red border and hyperlinked text is black unless you hover your mouse over it.When you hover your mouse over it the link turns red. If there is much dislike over the colour of hyperlinked text.It can be turned back to blue.
Some of you might remember that 'The Guild' was actually called 'The Sword Dojo' prior to the release of MTW1. A great return is too far fetched? :)
Nice attention to detail! I like it, my compliments!Quote:

The Ashigaru show up in the NTW skin, too, I don't know if that's another leak...
The STW skin has been set (overwritten?) as the "VB4 Default Style", this is probably why some of the STW icons and styles are appearing on the NTW and Guild skins.
It's a nice theme and I can tell that alot of work has gone into it... but I eagerly await the return of my simple-yet-beloved Breeze. :3
It's very odd that the importing of one skin changes the other. That good as never happened with the previous versions. It's quite possible that I'm overlooking something. The Breeze skin is the very last one that should have changed, as it's in no way related to the others.
for me, the org site seems to lagg since the update. is there a way for me to switch it back, since this makes following threads really annoying.
Just noticed, in both the STW and Guild skins, the [CODE ] blocks are basically unreadable, text is black while the background is a dark electric blue.
Code:test test test
do not stare into code block with remaining eye
Things are looking really gear! The only things I have noticed are the invisible links thing which was mentioned, and the colour scheme on the members list (accessible from the profiles) is really hard to read. Other than that, it's great.
This skin is great. I absolutely love it. Thnx Kage
Try to look at the Member list with TheGuild skin...
Here's an updated version of my Stylish link fix that now also makes those blue code fields readable:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Definitely needs links fixed.
You should be able to tell at a glance that I just made a link without having to paste the URL like this: http://www.totalwar.com or mouse over each letter to be sure if there is or isn't a URL there.
i love the new skin, much better than what you had before, at least to me :)
Bump to get rid of advertisement appearing on main forum index.
Please, do no longer post in threads created by spambots.
Okay, good to know the mods noticed this spamstorm as well.
Can the code backgrounds be changed, the blue-black really is troublesome.
I hope i can do the required fixes sooner rather then later as the skin should not be a hindrance to the forum members in any way.
Dearest TosaInu,
On behalf of the United Nations Human Rights Council I would like to express my sincerest gratitute for the fact that you have succeeded in averting an international catastrophe by succesfully changing the navy-blue color of the quote and code selection to a more natural, skin-like color. Now we will not have to burn our eyes out every time one looks at Hax's signature. Why someone would voluntarily mock himself in public is something of a mystery to me, but to each his own.

Hello Hax,
Sorry for it taking so long to fix.
Links are underlined again, or should be. link
I must say that the code part is an improvement, but the underlining is everywhere and makes it less readable.
All right.Could someone please list all the grievances we have right now, so it could be fixed? Also question to the members in general, now that we have used this skin for a while. Does the white background of the threads still burn your eyes.Or have you come accustomed with it? If you check the front page. One possibility would be to make the background invisible compared to white.Would this be more pleasing for the eye?
For the links in general. Is the underlining the best option or do you want to have a for example whole different colour for the links in the text?
I can live with underlines everywhere, but I think the users of the older skins want it back the way it was.
Underlined links in posts work, but every link on the page seems to be underlined, it makes it less pleasant to look at.
Personally, I can live with it staying how it is now.
These options, at the top of the thread, the gray text on the black makes it hard to read. I use them often so if this could be changed I would be pleased. How about turning this (and links) into a more visible (and perhaps eye pleasing) color?Quote:

Taking another look, the only thing I would prefer changed for The Guild skin on the front page, is the removal of underlines on the links to the moderators of the area. (Eg S2TW selection, remove underlines from you and Gregoshi)
As for in a thread:
As A Nerd said, with the top bar, the text is a bit hard to read (gray on dark brown)
Perhaps a white, as it is down the bottom (Tags for this Thread, Bookmarks etc)
And removal of the underline on the Reply to Thread button, other than that, the Guild Skin is perfect, IMO
One thing I've noticed is that the Mark Forum Read function doesn't work consistently from forum to forum. In some, there is no visual feedback that the function has executed. Usually, when one marks a forum read, you can see the unread threads turn from bold to regular font immediately. I've noticed in some forums, like the new Shogun II forum, this happens, but in other older ones, like the Front Room, it doesn't. In the Front Room it does work, but you have to manually refresh the screen to see that is worked.
This isn't dysfunctionality really, but rather, a lack of consistency in visual feedback in the interface. Since it has been asked that all issues be posted here, I thought I'd mention this.
Also note, because of the similarity in the background and text colors, the Mark Forum Read function and other functions on the same bar are hard to read on THE GUILD skin. FOr a while there I thought they'd gone away, heh. FYI.
Thanks for the information Togakure. :bow:I will wait for another day for any other information and then we will start looking at what can be done for each problem. Ofcourse it is clear that we cant make everything perfect for everyone as many issues are about personal preferences. When you post any problems you have, please refer clearly what skin you are talking about.
Alright. I pondered what to do with the links as there are only few options available and those concern large amount of links. So i took another look on the STW colour scheme also thinking how the current one is bit dark. The answer hit me as i was missing blue colour entirely. In this test skin the links are blue untill you touch them and they turn red. Also i used more broken white for thread and post backgrounds while getting rid of some white elements all together. Tell me what you think?
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
That looks good Kage.
Looks good.
I prefer the names of the fora in the forum index to stay black. It's just that the blue and the red don't seem to match very well
Is it possible to keep those black, and only have the links in posts in a different color?
Broken white is better than white white.
I need some help from Tosa to create a custom css template, but i think the link in posts can have a different colour then the ones in thread list.
