Sign up thread: Star Wars [Concluded]

Hello all.

If we can get this one started quickly, I may be able to host it. I might have to assign a co-host if I can't finish it due to RL.

Which game this is, is going to be determined by how many players I have signed up.


If I can get 50 players, this is going to be Star Wars: Fall of the Order, the hugely anticipated huge sequel of the hugely popular Sigurd-hosted Star Wars: Return of the Sith.

Getting star wars fatigue? Yeah, no kidding. CFC and TWC are also hosting Star Wars games, and that's why I was thinking this might not be the time. But unlike those games, this is based on a story written by Sigurd, involving characters unaffiliated with the two trilogies, involving only Jedi and Sith characters, and no ancillary, non-force-sensitive characters. It's completely different from the Zack-hosted Star Wars.

If I can get 70 or more players, this is going to instead be The Big New Yorker, a game which is my take on making a game that is remotely Capo di Tutti Capi-like in both its size and complexity.

If I get 40 players or less, then I will host something besides Star Wars or Big New Yorker. I can't compromise on the integrity of the games by getting fewer players. What do you have to look forward to instead of those games?

I'm cooking something up, a mafia game based off of the Final Fantasy style, with all-new characters. That's your third alternative.

You decide which game you'll be playing, by your interest. Let's aim high. I know the gameroom has been slow, but let's at least make this the Star Wars game.

As advertising on other forums seems to be prohibited, I was wondering if you could do some recruiting for me. If you could send out some private, personal invitations to players of mafia-style games, and let me know you've invited them so I can get in contact with them, that would be superb.

Particularly on CFC, where there are still a lot of untapped, extraordinary players.

Advertising isn't prohibited on CFC as far as I know. Just post in the Mafia Info Thread there with a link, you can also PM the people on this list.

I don't think it's prohibited either.

I think that was just one mod having a bad day at TWC, there have been org games advertised over there before with no problems. I'll add a link in my sig at TWC and CFC.

I remember asking Methos if I could advertise my games on CFC, and he declined.

That's why I want to make doubly sure if I do anything, it is legal and involves personal invitations. That's all that really works anyway.

Important discussion regarding the final setup of a Big New Yorker game, if we reach 70 players, follow this link to contribute to the discussion. (I want to keep off-topic chatter on this thread to a minimum)

Okay, after we reach 50, I have a fair way to resolve the question of whether it is Star Wars or Big New Yorker. Pretty much unless you get close to 70 it's going to be Star Wars anyway, but if we get close, and it could go either way, I'll put it to a poll. That way the crowd will have spoken, and you'll get what you wanted.

I'm really hoping for the Big New Yorker, so I hope sign ups will be open long enough to get 70 players.

He's more than welcome to join, the only reason an invitation was not extended is because he's on the do not invite me to mafia games list.

If you can use your deep telepathic connection to him to cause him to wake from his slumber in the middle of the night, stumble to the computer, and decide to randomly join a large mafia game with you in it, by all means.
