The Pisonian Conspiracy [Concluded]
https://img64.imageshack.us/img64/2757/nerocircus.jpg
One of the Grand Speakers of Rome stands up and gives the latest news to come out of Rome.
The Year is 65 CE or the year of Pomponius and Anicius. We are currently in the Reign of the grand Emperor Nero he who has ruled with great courage and intelligence in this harsh time. We are now entering a glory ago for Rome with the Christians rightfully put in their place following their burning of our fine Capital. Nero has built up many great buildings for the Glory of Rome. However this is not enough for some people and I have being informed that there was to be a plot against our great leaders life. Whilst we do know that there is a plot we do not know who was apart of it. That is what you the people of Rome need to decide who amongst you harbours ill will towards our Emperor and living God. To tell you more about this dastardly crime I present to you the Emperor of Rome Nero.
Emperor Nero stand and begins his Speech the way he begins all his speeches by reciting some rather awful poetry.
Rules must be observed.
Waiting my turn
Standing in the queue,
Popping my name in the urn,
Whose name is pulled out first?
Your emperor’s of course.
Then I sing for three hours flat.
I’m sweating. What a tour de force!
When my teacher signals
To rest my voice, I pause.
My Alexandrian sailors
Start their antiphonal applause.
What artistry!
Who wins first prize?
Whose face is reflected
in a thousand eyes?
No one else is allowed to sing.
Rules must be observed.
My fellow Romans countrymen all I know that some of you wish me ill will this fine day. Under my reign the Empire is at it's strongest we have recovered well from the toxic influence of the Christians and of the hardship suffered under Claudius. I trust that you my fellow Romans ultimately have my well being at the heart of you. Go forth and find out who it is that has ideas to take my position.
In a follow up to my Game the Catiline Conspiracy I bring you the next great moment of Roman History that is fit for a Mafia Game. Whilst this is less well known then Catiline it still has some leading figures of Roman History involved in the situation. Plus there is some confusions as to who was actually involved in it. This will broadly follow the same kind of way as my previous game with some interesting additions.

Pre-game conspiracy theories? Typical scum meta-gaming tactic. It is you, who have failed to do the fooling...or something like that.

Re: The Pisonian Conspiracy [Sign Ups]
Pre-game fingers of suspicion? Typical Scuma Addict meta-gaming tactic. It is you, who have fooled yourself, shame on you, fool yourself twice, shame on you again, but you can't fool yourself three times..... who is more of a fool, the fool, or the fool who follows the fool? In conclusion.... you can't get fooled again. That's an old West Texas saying. Don't mess with Texas.

Meh, Texas is old news. Washington is where it's at. Apparently.

I would advise that the mafia surrender now. You cannot break the bonds of brotherhood between us townies. Though your knives may pierce our bodies, your evil cannot invade our hearts.

Nero strides forward to the centre of the Senate. He looks at the votes in his hand leans over to the man keeping tally and says to him.
"My dear fellow you have made an error someone got more votes in reality then you have desribed here whilst it made no difference this time do please try to keep them accurate." There has being a draw in proceedings so we must all wait whilst I confer with my closest advisors as to what we need to do in this event. Forgive me for taking up your time. With this Nero strides out of the Senate leaving the two men at the centre of this mess hanging on a knife edge. Their fate is to be decided by some as of now an unknown figure.
Night 1 Begins.
Whilst I wait for someone to decide the fates of Beefy and Lord of Lent. You may all send in your orders. If you wish to do something to one of the people in the draw include a secound name incase they are the one chosen to die.

Re: The Pisonian Conspiracy [Sign Ups]
Imperator,
I am and have always been a good Roman. I do have my vices, but disloyalty isn't one of them. Please allow me to remain a servant of your wonderful empire that is rightfully yours. Members of the senate, this man, Beefy, is a traitor and does not deserve to live another day.
With these words, I shall pray to our merciful gods and await their judgment, especially yours, imperator romanorum.

Re: The Pisonian Conspiracy [In play]
Imperator
I haven't always been a good Roman. Instead of serving the community like Lord of Lent over here, I spent my time writing love stories. Oh good Nero, I don't plan to be a good senator. But if your after erotic love romance then you'll need me alive. Oh senators of Rome and gracious Nero. Getting rid of me would be a great day for Rome. You'll lose one annoying senator who tries to set him self on fire and replace him with yet another dull soldier boy. But remember, your days won't be colourful as it used to be!
With these words, I shall pray to our merciful gods and await their judgment, especially yours, imperator romanorum :curtain:
Lord of Lent. I have no hard feelings. Lets await their judgment holding hands~:grouphug:

Re: The Pisonian Conspiracy [In play]
Nero listens to what both men have to say he retreats to his inner council. Many hours pass and the men begin to be fearful of their fate. Nero is not known for his clemency but perhaps this time will be different. Nero stands before the Senate and recites yet another bad poem.
Death!
Plop.
The barges down in the river flop.
Flop, plop.
Above, beneath.
From the slimy branches the grey drips drop,
As they scraggle black on the thin grey sky,
Where the black cloud rack-hackles drizzle and fly
To the oozy waters, that lounge and flop
On the black scrag piles, where the loose cords plop,
As the raw wind whines in the thin tree-top.
Plop, plop.
And scudding by
The boatmen call out hoy! and hey!
All is running water and sky,
And my head shrieks -- "Stop,"
And my heart shrieks -- "Die."
* * * * *
My thought is running out of my head;
My love is running out of my heart,
My soul runs after, and leaves me as dead,
For my life runs after to catch them -- and fled
They all are every one! -- and I stand, and start,
At the water that oozes up, plop and plop,
On the barges that flop
And dizzy me dead.
I might reel and drop.
Plop.
Dead.
And the shrill wind whines in the thin tree-top
Flop, plop.
* * * * *
A curse on him.
Ugh! yet I knew -- I knew --
If a woman is false can a friend be true?
It was only a lie from beginning to end --
My Devil -- My "Friend"
I had trusted the whole of my living to!
Ugh; and I knew!
Ugh!
So what do I care,
And my head is empty as air --
I can do,
I can dare,
(Plop, plop
The barges flop
Drip drop.)
I can dare! I can dare!
And let myself all run away with my head
And stop.
Drop.
Dead.
Plop, flop.
Plop.
He looks at the Senate daring them to say something about the poem. The Senate breaks out into a huge applause. Some senators claim it to be the finest poem he has ever written. Nero looks happy at the response and then looks at the two men who were chosen to die.
I feel happy today both of you shall live. Go forth Senate and find the vile men who wish your living God dead.

Re: The Pisonian Conspiracy [In play]
As night struck the city of Rome the pro-consul Vitellius (Skumma Addict) is walking the streets of Rome. He is happy as the ruler of Africa he has many legions at his beck and call. In the eventuality that a civil war does break out he will be well placed to make something of himself. However that is not to be for as he walks the streets some figures begin to stalk him. They follow him from Pompey's Theatre to the forum through the deserted streets of the Esquiline Hill. As he ducks down an alleyway, he spots the figures following him and draws his sword. He stares down these people none of whom have had the power that he has had. He yells at them. "This is not what was supposed to happen I should have being somebody. My name should have lived down the ages in the great books of men. Men should have heard my name and feared my power. It was not my time." With these final words the assassins strike him down leaving his body in the streets of Rome for the common folk to find
Vitellius (Skumma Addict) is dead
Begin Day 2
