CBWGLMWCSWA were looking for a new singer, fresh from their hit debut album, We Suck ***, they decided that eight doorhandles prancing about the stage miming wasn't enough and wanted to hire a new member. The studio execs thought that the best way to leech more money from the pockets of parents of insipid eight year olds was through a tv reality show, where a bunch of morons would sing in front of some arrogant nobodies to earn a place in the "band".

Following a tedious, months long audition process, the list was narrowed down to seventeen hopefuls. Surely none of the execs would have the crazy idea of merging a talent contest with a murdering contest? That would be silly. Think of the ratings though....

So a little more on how the game will work. As it's a talent show each contestant will have to audition, there will be a randomised list of all seventeen players, including mafia. At the end of each phase, day and night, the next person in the list will "perform", a video will be posted of their audition. This will make the game more difficult for the mafia and they will need to manage kills and lynches carefully, killing the wrong person could bring their audition forward and perhaps expose them.

Well perhaps they could be used as a clue as to whether somebody is mafia or not. The difference between a mafia and townie audition could be obvious, vague, Byzantine or non-existant. Only the mafia, and me will know. The audition list will be completely random and public, adding another level of mafia tactics. It could be an interesting concept or could be a total flop, we won't know until we've tried.

Just over 24 hours and I have a full game, I'm shocked. Not like my previous mafia games at all...

I wasn't expecting to get the game filled so quickly so I'm slightly behind, but I'll have it up and running with a day phase later tonight.

Day one

The seventeen hopefuls were ushered into the dressing room by the executive producers, "Okay guys, this is it, your chance for fame and glory. This is slightly different from the usual shows in that you are going to vote each other off, not the audience." Warman puts his hand up. "Is that because you aren't expecting an audience ma'am?" he asks. He gets a :stare: in reply and quickly shuts up (if only it were really that easy....). "The first audition will be at the end of the day." Montmorency raised his hand "Doesn't that mean that somebody will be voted off before they even audition, that's hardly fair." :stare: He quickly puts his hand down and looks out the window.

"Okay, here is the order in which you will audition, first person will be up at the end of this phase."

If Mafia are exposed as such when they audition, doesn't this mean that we simply need to lynch from the end of the list upward?

But they aren't exposed. There are probably differences, but they won't be massive.

Yep, there'll probably be clues in the Mafia videos but nothing definite. Also, why do you think they would all be at the end of the list? JHT said the list was going to be randomised

The audition list is completely random, the first three could be mafia, the last three, or any combination in between.

johns comment intimated mafia exposure during their audition - if thats not the case it doesn't really apply, but I still don't think my idea is a bad one: If it is in mafias interest to move away from the front of the queue by lynching/night killing, so that their audition doesn't expose them in any way; then it is in towns interest to lynch those furthest from the front.

The mafia won't kill me, even if I'm confirmed town. I'm too scummy to be nightkilled. :cool:

As I said, since we can all simply reveal our videos, the Mafia videos won't be all that revealing, so I think it won't play a major part in the Mafia's strategy.

Fair enough, I was just going on what the host said. The only reason I can think of not to reveal our audition tapes now is that it would spoil the hosts intentions for the write ups :/
