Interstellar Ship One - mini mafia game [Concluded]

Setting:

In year 2112 firs interstellar ship was sent to the Alpha Centauri A (Toliman), where earth-like planet was observed in year 2078. Unnofficial name of this ship was 'Einstein's Pride' as it was traveling with a speed close to the speed of light itself. It was estimated that ship wil arrive at Toliman system after 6 years of travel. Due to relativistic effects, it will amount to 9 weeks of on-board time.
The best representatives of United States of Northen Hemisphere were sent on this ship, in the number of ten. Everyone hoped, that they will find alien life on Toliman's planet...

After four weeks of flight, body of ship's captain was found. It seems someone on the board does not want this mission to succeed.

Mechanics:

1. Game for 9 players
2. There are two mafia players: master (who is able to conduct night kill) and apprentice (who will become master after death of previous one)
3. All townies are vanilla, but:
4. Each day, all players not only vote for lynching someone (in traditional vote: Jarema format), but also they vote for roleblocking one player (in jail: Jarema format).
5. Mafia may decide not to kill
6. There will always be exactly 1 player lynched everyday, with exception of day one. No lynch is not a legal vote. In case of ties, I will randomize results. At day one, at least 2 votes are needed to lynch anyone.
7. IF town manages somehow to survive (in higher number than mafia) untill end of flight (start of day 5), town wins
8. If I manage to do that (I must contact someone who can do it for me), anonymous accounts would be used (or is it an overkill for mini mafia? I just want to test how game 'behaves' with anonymous accounts). EDIT: confirmed. Anonymous accounts would be used.
9. There would be no WoGing for non-activity. But please, be active!
10. No private communication, please

So long as it is between other stars, it is interstellar. Since stars encompass all of known space, all known space is interstellar.

And I could post links and quotes supporting my point of view. It can be either, I don't think there is a definitive definition, but 90% of science fiction or science books I read will use the term interstellar to mean the space between star systems. Probably more a debate for the Frontroom though.

Not necessarily. If a city council in the USA is the entity deliberating, say, then, being on a spheroid, this is politics taking place geographically between nations - Japan and South Africa, for example.

Oh, I don't speak English at all. I speak Murican. That's probably where the confusion comes from.

I've been trying to avoid having more than two simultaneous games of late, but surely a mini game won't hurt....

Captain Jarema was writing an entry to the ship log, as always at the end of the week:

10:00 pm, Saturday, end of fourth week of onboard time: we are almost at half of the way to Toliman system. Almost everything is going alright, but today I discovered that someone has stolen half of our food reserves. We have enough food to survive, but it means there is a thief onboard. We must find him and put into ship custody before he does more harm. I believe I know who he is. I will write more after confirming it…

That were Jarema’s last words. He was found with his head crushed.

As a life-saving maneuver, I will Unvote; Vote:Pedro. By the way, I didn't really like Napoleon Dynamite, just a fun fact...

All crew members gathered in a dining room and discussed the best course of action. Soon, they agreed that they should lynch the most suspicious among themselves, in order to save their mission. They decided also to put someone to jail, and see if something bad happens during next week or not.
But without guidance of their captain, it was hard for them to decide whom they should kill, and especially whom they should imprison.

There were two leading candidates for a lynch: Pedro and Al. At first, Al didn’t want to vote for Pedro, but seeing that he himself is in danger, he decided to seal his fate. And soon, Pedro has left the ship… without a spacesuit.

Pedro was an innocent astronaut.

‘Einstein’s Pride’ sailed through void. During fifth week of their journey, astronauts became the first humans who were closed to other star than to the Sun. But not all of them were happy…
Bertha was, in fact, really depressed. Six days in a jail! And why? Only because she is the single woman onboard?
That wasn’t fair.
What was even less fair, she didn’t have a toilet! She had to use old, rusty bucket. And when it was full, she had to personally dispose of its content.
During fourth day of her imprisonment, she had to empty the bucket for a third time. As always, she knocked the door. And, as always, there was a warder on the opposite side, who opened it for her.
But, this time, when Bertha were passing by him, he acted quite unusual, not like the astronauts who were there before him. ‘Bertha’, he said. ‘I know you for a long time. I know for sure that you couldn’t kill our poor captain. Unfortunately I cannot release you from here, but I can at least help you with this muck’.
Bertha happily allowed the man to carry her bucket when they were walking down the corridor. But, after a moment, she started to think… ‘Wait, how can you be so sure that…’ were her last words. Why last? Because at this very moment, her companion pushed her heads into s**t filling the bucket. It surely was not a pleasant death.

In short, Bertha was killed. She was innocent astronaut.
