Doctor Willenloss and his splendid invention, or... [Concluded]
Doctor Willenloss and his splendid invention, or how I learned to stop worrying and I love the time machine.
Munisch. Little town in the middle of Central America. Home to German emigrants and their children. And, of course, some other people.
Weather is mild and peaceful here. Town inhabitants are content to live simple, silent lives. Well, at least most of them.
“Commies, [bleep]ing commies! Merciful God, please wipe this red plague from the face of our poor planet!” Doctor Willenloss was in one of his bad moods. “Or I will eliminate them myself!. Yes, yes... that is what I have to do... McCarthy would be grateful, little silly man...” doctors yells hushed to mumbling. He allowed his assistants to take him back to the laboratory.
Adele, as always, took care of world-weary genius. He relaxed, letting her stroke his hand, and his assistants maintaining his machines. Especialy THE Machine. Machine, which soon be used for changing world history.
This was the biggest of old doctor's inventions. Machine that could be used to travel in time. Not only to travel, but also to change it. Remake. Doctor wanted to use it for changing events that shaped first decades of twentieth century. But the Machine was still only a prototype, which allowed only very limited time travels – for a maximum of three days. During last month doctor Willenloss and his assistants were working hard on this problem. Doctor even asked his son, professor Willess, for help, despite old enmity between this two men. But only a scientist can understand another scientist.
Limited range of machine operation was not the only problem. There were others, who wanted to use the machine for their own goals, among them members of Communist movement, so hated by old doctor. It was not known by him, but their agents inflitrated even the ranks of his closest collaborators...
Welcome to my small mafia game for 16-20 players.
Some basics:
game main new mechanic would be time machine, which could be operated by some characters. Details would not be described here, but expect that some actions and their results (even death!) may be reversed ("rewinded")
second thing: there would be gender of characters, It may become important, as: "you saw that your target was visited by a woman"
third: every character would have at least minor role (no vanilla townies); every character would have a name. Names may appear at descriptions of nights
Rules:
1. Communication outside the gamethread and sanctioned quick topics is not allowed
2. Each player would have a character with unique name. All descriptions made by host would use these names. Like: Jarema character is called 'Jerry'. Description of night: Jerry was spying doctor Willenloss, when the latter was attacked by masked men'
3. Yes, that also means that sometimes only gender of character would be revealed in description (you know, mafia like to hide their faces)
4. After death, only name reveal will happen immediatelly. Alignment reveal will happen after few days, together with role (or cover role) reveal.
5. There are few characters who, for different reasons, will have their alignment described as 'not clear' rather than 'mafia' or 'town'. Not every player would be aware that it is the case for their character. True role of character would not always be revealed
6. Time-revelsals may happen. If time is 'rewinded' all actions and they consequences will be annuled. For example, lynched players would no longer be lynched. But, you will all retain memories of your deeds (like scan results)
7. Each day will consist of 2 periods lasting 24 hours. It is important, as some abilities can be only used during first or second part of day. Nights will last 24 hours
List of characters:
doctor Arthur Willenloss, inventor
professor Felix Willess, his son
Jane, Mary, Fred, Igor & Mike, doctor's assistants
John Blake, Martha Burghes, Michael Connely, Adele Delacruse, William Lane, Ann Pferd, Adam Steiner, Eva Znanetzky, other Munisch' inhabitants
(some characters may be deleted, as needed)

I added rules to the OP. All pms sent

Re: Doctor Willenloss and his splendid invention, or... [Sign ups]
All important inhabitants of Munisch gathered. Doctor Willenloss asked them to come. And when doctor asks, no one refuses. At least not openly.
When the last person arrived and taken her place, doctor stood up and started his speech:
'My assistants, my neighbours, and my son.
I gathered you here, because we have a problem. As all you know, I invented Time Machine.
The problem is, that someone else than your good old doctor seems to be using the machine! I am also aware that a group of communists tries to get my invention for themselves. They are among us. Yes, they are sitting here right now. We must do something about it! As you all know, I do not like half measures. We will vote and choose one person. Then, we will hang him or her. Simple and effective. And if we want to exterminate these red pests, we must do it. So, start talking!'
Day 1 begins. As stated in the rules it will last 2x24 hours (well, today a little shorter)
Time to midday:
Time to end of day 1:

Re: Doctor Willenloss and his splendid invention, or... [Sign ups]
Half-measures indeed. Who's using the time machine here, Igor or Felix? Has to be one or the other, excepting Commies.
I intend to go in hard for this game.

Commies haven't had much luck here on the .org.
Capo IV, they got nearly exterminated, and failed to accomplish their objectives. And that was their best showing yet.
Capo III, I made sure they got wiped out. Even if they were my best friends. SPLITPERSONALITY!!!
And there was a game where Lord Winter was the only communist and we lynched him day one.
And IRL, the soviet union collapsed, cuba is an impoverished hole, and China is more robber baron capitalist than we are at this point.

Doctor Willenloss coughed, and spoke:
'Common, people! Make your choice! Someone is going to be lynched today, even if everyone gets one vote. And I can assure you, that in such situation I surely will not choose someone dear to my heart.'
Inspired by doctor's short speech, gathered persons started to put second votes on some candidates. Also, at moment not noticed by others, someone passed a small anonymous note to doctor Willenloss, with name on it. Doctor, kind as always, decided to accept this vote despite it's unusual format.
'Well. I see you have decided. So, lets get rid of Mrs Burghes.'
When Martha heard that, she tried to escape. But crowd of people stopped him, and doctor Willenloss managed to put strange noose on his neck. 'You will have the honor of being first victim of my new invention!' exclaimed the scientist, and pushed big, red button.
The noose started to shrink, and the face of poor woman turned red, and then violet. After few moments, she passed out.
'I really hope that we got dirty commie here' – said doctor. But searching the body didn't reveal anything. 'Maybe after searching her stuff we will know something more? Anyway, I must admit that you are tough people. I did not expect that the first person you will choose for lynching would be a woman'

Well. it was second part of day. Night is right now (14 hours left when I post it)
As for reveal: it is described in the rules, but I will repeat here: full reveal (role and allegiance) will happen later.
It is because time can be rewinded, and it would be too easy for town if they knew who they lynched
-
Re: Doctor Willenloss and his splendid invention, or... [IN PLAY]
Lynching women... what a horribly wrongheaded pastime.

Re: Doctor Willenloss and his splendid invention, or... [IN PLAY]
Old woman called Ann Pferd was standing at the porch of her house, watching her neighbourhood. Weather was calm, and everything was silent. When she started feeling sleepy, she walked inside. Suddenly, someone grabbed her from behind, sqeezing her throat. Poor old lady was incapable of breathing. Right before she passed away, she managed to loosen the grip, turn around and look into face of her killer. What she seen, shocked her: 'You... but... you always seemed to like me!'. Not answering, the man grasped her neck harder, and twisted. Then, he left her lifeless body at the middle of living room.
Few minutes later, another man came into living room. When he saw the body, he muttered to himself something like: 'damn, comrades will not be happy'.

What makes you think that a Commie has been killed? It seems to me that maybe it was just a wrong target killed or something like that. Maybe we have a bus driver type of role, or the wrong orders got sent...it's not really clear.

'My assistants, and my neighbours. Horrible things happened here. You have killed 2 out of 6 women that are living in our community. Were you thinking about anything while doing this?
Are you stupid or something? Just imagine what will happen, if our group was the last human population on Earth! How would we proliferate and reborn our species with only four females? To be fair to NinjaCow, he may not be able to see the timer (I know that I can't, for some reason). And I really doubt that mafia would make themselves so conspicuous early on.
Also, I'm going to vote: robbiecon, for FoSing but hanging back from voting. Yes, it's a flimsy reason; no, I don't have anything better.

Interestingly enough, it is pretty much your first point that made me simply FoS NinjaCow instead of voting him. I don't think that mafia would seem so obvious, so I was giving him the benefit of the doubt.

Re: Doctor Willenloss and his splendid invention, or... [IN PLAY]
I'm in the lead, I may as well roleclaim. I'm a roleblocker, who didn't roleblock anybody last night because I honestly didn't know it was night. Trust me, I wouldn't be this derpy if I was Mafia, I learned my lesson from ATOC. *sheds a single tear*
But go ahead, please lynch me. At this stage I'm only going to serve as a major distraction for the town, so I may as well die as quickly as possible. Goodbye, cruel world. *sigh*
