It will get better. We're in the worst month though.
Omg Kiv, what a change! :p
Yep no longer the Blackfish I see Kival. Keep an eye out for EB MP to pick up again at the start of the new year. I've currently started redoing some parts of the edu that I thought could benefit from some extra work using a lot of GG2's work and building upon it. I just need to standardize prices for everything so costs remain balanced first and then the real work can begin. And of course, I need to get into contact with both Vartan and GG2. Havn't seen either of them around for a while.
Vartan joined the server a few days ago. He says that nobody answers to his messages since months. I will join on weekends, for I've to work in the morning and write my thesis in the evening - night. I hope you could join in weekend sometimes Robin. And your EBO work is just but great news for us. Keep it up.
I just finished fixing my computer's screen, the one that can actually play EB effectively.
Come on guys, I'm tired of playing Medieval 2 vanilla, I'm sick of absurd cavalry charges.
It has pretty much already started as I understand. At least team battles went on fairly regularly a few weeks ago.
No team battles when I log on. You Euros need to stay up later.:whip:
Yes, we had semi - regular team battles a few weeks ago. But you must connect at midday here in America. Now I'm writing my thesis and I'm reviving the good taste of Medieval 2, even with the OP Cavalry. There I can find battles more often and I've friends there too and I belong to a clan, which has now created its own forum. I think I will play alongside them in the oncoming Rome 2.
Yeah and that is really the issue for me. I'm at work until 5 and by the time I get home its close to 6 and time to make dinner. And by the time dinner is all said and done its now near 7 and the network is a ghost town.
I'm going to join again soon hopefully, now I have uni internet :2thumbsup:
June
Lazy, good to see your mug on here again
Hopefully by June we will have replaced the current stat system with the EBNOM/BC 2.4 stat system. If anyone wants to know how it works, download Europa Barbarorum: Novus Ordo Mundi and have a go!
Sadly , chances for participation this year , at least in June, look bleak .
You mean your participation, Lazy?
Count me in; which EDU will it be? I don't want unpleasant surprises and handicaps.
I'm spokesperson now ? HUEHUEHEUHEUEHEUHEUHEUEHEUHEUEHUEH Grory days be coming to EBO .
GG2 has expressed a desire to completely overhaul the current edu and replace it with one more similar/based upon the edu's he has developed for EB:NOM and Broken Crescent. I am not sure if he has already started on this or is simply planning to.
I myself have simply modified the current edu to, among other things, nerf HA and buff lighter infantry units. I've playtested mine only a small bit as I really haven't had much time but I did come up with a changelog that I could post here and people could bounce ideas off of one another if anyone was interested.
All this being said, I really don't know which direction EBO will be taking but hopefully we can come to some consensus before May? I'd really like to get the community active and I feel edu updates are a great way to do so as people always want to play with new/updated toys.
If people would like to see my changelog I'll make a couple more tweaks and post it this weekend coming up.
If this is related to those few tests we did when I had a chance to go online, please post it in its own thread. You can choose how you want to number it (3.4a, 3.5, whatever). Maybe it'll be a 3.5 Proposition Thread or something. Looking forward to reading it!
Unrelated note: due to some personal changes I might not be able to do the recording I wanted of Raphia...truly sorry.
Here is The Wizard back from the roman campaing that is almoust done but no augustan reforms as it takes ages to reach them still
