Rise of The Snake Cult [Concluded]

Welcome all. This game is "Rise of the Snake Cult" involving no actual cults. Surprise surprise.

Rules:
• 48 hour days and 24 hour night phases.
• You may not talk after death except for a 'go town' style comment. There will be a dead quicktopic if you want to talk (or a skype chat).
• Don't quote anything I say to you. Paraphrasing is fine.
• No screenshots, etc.
• You may NOT talk to players outside the thread.
• You will vote for players you want lynched during the day, using the format, Vote: Visorslash. Votes must be in bold to count. If you wish to unvote, simply: Unvote; Vote: ATPG. You don't need to do a semicolon, I just think it looks nice. The vote tag is not essential but please make it very clear who you are voting for, I would suggest only bolding names for votes, never for emphasis.
• If you are replaced or WOG killed, please do not post in the thread.
• For votes that end in a tie, there will be a tiebreaking period after the lynch where the next vote/unvote will decide.
• No lynch is allowed.
• Please don't edit posts with votes.
• If you miss two day phases in a row or 3 in total with any reasonable excuse or informing me why you will be WoG'ed.
• Have fun. This is not an option . If you don't think you'll have fun with this game... don't join it.
• Alignment will be revealed on death.

The game will run from anywhere between 13-20 players. It will have no cults. It will have a few slightly different powers and twist on game mechanics but nothing too ground breaking.

A poisoned Duke, and a snake styled ring have been found in the morning after the harvest festival. Something is amiss in the Court, and it must be rooted out.

You have 48 hours to discuss your situation and lynch someone. There is no majority, only deadline lynch.

One last note: There may or may not be anti claim mechanics. Claim at your own risk.

A wise policy (for my own part, I tend to skip the skeptical stage and move straight into raging paranoia).

No, I'm thinking some of the players could have gotten information about the format packaged with their roles. Less likely than dropping dead after a claim, but it's another way to make role dropping dangerous.

For our new members, is anyone experiencing an issue where their posts are "pending approval" after they're submitted? This should not be the case and I want to see if the issue goes beyond the member who first brought it to my attention.

Hello everyone.

Gut instinct is giving me a scum lean on vote:Beskar. It seems like he's deliberately playing up the "in-the-dark townie" thing. Everyone else is striking me as reasonably townie so far. I like Raith's reaction to Al Sips's prodding. Very much what I would expect from a townie.

People like to say PIS (perfect information syndrome) after speculation posts. The weird thing is that for them to know that the speculation poster knows too much, they know too much, otherwise they wouldn't know that the speculation poster "know" too much.

I can confirm the above statement by johnhughthumb. That individual is no gentleman, thus, he wouldn't be able to carry on with a gentleman's agreement with Lady Weston-Hoges' nephew.
