Sign Up Sheet: Swords and Sorcery Sans Swords Mk 2.

Game time start has been changed. If you haven't read the first page post since the 28th, please do so again. I need confirmation if possible of all people who have currently signed up.

New game start will be August 9th.

It's time to start thinking about the next game. This game will be an adjusted version of my previous Swords and Sorcery without the Swords game played back in February. I was originally thinking of designing a completely new game, but I don't feel the mechanics of my game were fully explored. Due to an amazing job by town during the previous game, you guys never really got to delve into the system and have a chance to break it, so we will give it another shot.

Basics

• 15+ players. The more the merrier as the system is adjustable.
• 48h days 24h nights.
• Possible third party mechanics.
• Roles exist as one off "spells" that players pick from a customized list that fits their overall role in the game.
• Spell list will be modified based on input from previous game.
• If you are not familiar with the setup from S&SW/OS please check this thread.

Game will start on August 9th. Ideal EOD would be around noon PST but I am open to some adjustment on that part.

Game starts while my wife and I are on vacation/delayed honeymoon.

I may be able to be an elite late game sub, but I can't start the game and shouldn't sub in on d1/d2 either unless you like a 2 posting Askthepizzaguy.

I can sub if dead in the wildcards game, but unless that happens I probably can't play, sorry. Wildcards > all.

Note on Timeframe

It's looking like the plan of starting roughly a week after Zack's game is currently not going to happen. Who would be able to join if it was an additional week out? Two?

Ok. What do people think about starting around the beginning of August?

We'll be home from the states the 5th, so after that I'm good to join.

I'm good with the beginning of August.

Still available as a Sub, and could be pressed for full player from the beginning. I might have diminished participation initially, however.

Veery tempting. A Jabbz' game equals high quality. Can't commit to anything just now though. But we'll see.

I'm on military duty from July 31st to August 14th, so until I know my precise schedule, which I won't likely know until I report on the 31st, I must be put on the bottom of the replacement list. Sorry folks. I was planning on committing to be a full player, too. :sadg:

I plan on invading Washington state with Norwegian bear cavalry forces on the 31st, so Logic will be super busy I'm afraid. We will eat him the last.

I'm going to likely close out this thread and start a new one tomorrow for the sake of clarity. Game is looking to start on Wed the 9th, as I don't want to start it during vacation, too much work early on :p

I'd recommend keeping this thread as the signup sheet and confirming via PM everyone who intends to be randed a role, about two days before it starts. Wait until people PM you back before you rand.

What I meant ATPG was the change the title to indicate this was take two for a game starting on the 9th. Updating front page now. Please confirm if you are still playing, able to play when you couldn't before, or able to transition from backup to player. Thank you.

The invasion has begun, but no sign of Snerk nor his bear cavalry.

There was a snag. We couldn't find enough bears so we had to use beavers instead. Turns out they have significantly less load capacity so there is a slight delay in arrival. But we are on our way and we're gonna cut down so many trees..

I'm starting to think this isn't happening :P

B-but I was looking forward to welcoming the new generation of gamers by having them dead by D2 at the latest…

I'm still only a sub largely due to the fact that I'm traveling from the 17th-24th and don't want a repeat of my performance in Pokemon, sorry Jabbz.

Its nothing to do with you, I'm just busy and gunshy after my horrific performance in the wildcards game.

Willing to sign up as a full time player in 24 hours. The invasion has been repelled, now we are in briefings as to how we can defend against the REAL Norwegian bear Cavalry instead of the weak-sauce beavers we were presented with.
