thanks dessa
Hey why not an ant mod? Would fit to my name http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cg...s/bigthumb.gif
Genocide: Total War :P
Discworld: Total War
With trolls, dwarves, wizards, witches, elderly barbarians and Dwarvish battlebread.
How about Tudor : Total War, although it mihgt get a bit boring
I would rather see ETW - Egypt Total War. Including all civs around the Med BEFORE the romans
So. Rome: Total war without the romans http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cg...cons/joker.gif
Forgotten Realms Total War
http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cg...s/handball.gif
.EC.
And, once again, Cohen would be invincible as a one-man-faction and one-man-army…Quote:

I want to see Braveheart: Total War, like with real tartans and stuff, it could be modded so the scotch have authentic 17th century kilts, just like in the movie. We all know movies are so factual http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cg...cons/joker.gif
Another pet idear of mine is a Bharata: Total War like with Kingdoms in India, that would be kinda cool I think.
But, really I want a Silmarillion: Total War and have started the mod already, just wonder if anyone cares, why waste my time?
aravin, start a new topic about your Silmarillion mod. I'm sure you will find those interested then. You've mentioned it a few times now, but it is buried in other threads. I'll even copy the post to the Dungeon for you.
Personally, I'd love to see a Silmarillion mod. It is one of my favourite books.
I agree with PseRamesses idea about egypt total war. It would be cool but I think it would be better as A:TW Ancient:Total War. It could be similar to like the time period of Age of Mythology only it would be factual units and not mythological ones.

Balkans: Total War
How about
Dune: TotalWar (its in the desert mostly, right?)
or
Fallout: TotalWar (Mutants, Slavers, Ghouls, Vault people)
or
Underworld: TotalWar (Vampires, Werewolves, Demons: fight during the night)
or
Mythology: TotalWar (Norse, Greek, Mayan, Chinese, etc. -mythological creatures and hero-units)
or
The Pride: TotalWar (African Setting where animals wage war to dominate the plains)
I know these are all foolish and weird but since you asked...
I posted a topic with some suggestions called, Medieval /Rome Total War Suggestions please link and let me know what you think. Any chance of modding any of that?
What about modding WWII?

Modding Total War to more modern warfare has been suggested several times, but is not possible with the current game engine. See also Limit of Historical Warfare for the CA to use: battle enging inflexibilitiesQuote:

I thought a celtic britain totalwar(pre-roman) would be kinda cool(I posted my ideas in a topic, which has since drifted to the mists of the mysterious page 2 http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cg...sappointed.gif , oh well) But IMO, a renaissance totalwar would work well, mabye making it with a map of the world and the major european powers of the time found and develop their global empires. That'd be interesting. Maybe the renaissance time frame doesn't really cover the imperial age fully, and he naval element of the era would be a bit naff with the MTW engine, but either way this or a celtic britain TW would be good mods.

This may sound a little strange... but I think it would be interesting to see a mod that uses the standard Diplomacy map. Diplomacy, for those of you who don't know, is an old board game that is now popular as a play-by-email (PBEM) hobby. Anyway, the map covers almost the exact same region as M:TW, though with fewer provinces. The factions in standard Diplomacy are England, France, Germany, Russia, Austria, Italy and Turkey.
To really make a Diplomacy mod, there would need to be some way to limit unit production to certain provinces. I know nothing of the modding capabilities in M:TW... is it possible to make it so that certain provinces cannot contain keeps, or to restrict them to only having the lowest-level fort?
Anyway, I think it would be amusing.
Make the Bulgars a faction in Early, and the Serbs a faction in (maybe) high and late. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cg...ns/gc-cool.gif
Three Kingdoms: Total War
Would be pretty cool, anyone played the Koei games, or better yet read some of the original literature. It is quite good, very Homeric...but then again not at all Homeric, if you get my drift. You could have Generals all by themselves on the battlefield, no guards...and the chance to duel with the other General on the battlefield...if the general dies, the batlle is pretty much over...the trick is getting the two to meet... would be fun to see Cao Cao on the battlefield...perhaps it could wait and be a mod for Rome: Total War...CA said it is to be very moddable.
Oh and legendary items for your generals I don't recall any from the games or from the literature, but if you get an item you could give to your general (you could make it work like titles I guess...but they would be mystical swords, and armor, and horses and stuff, and they could give you vices and virtues, or add your stats...I don't know, just an Idea...
Yes it is possible.Quote:
