Hello, I'm therother, one of the custodians of the Ludus Magna forum, where we dissect the inner workings of Rome: Total War in as much detail as possible.
New members are heartily invited to read both the Guild FAQ and the Synopsis of the Guild Forums, both of which will hopefully help you settle in at the Org.

Hello fellow forum users. My name is Colin and I am a Physics student from Stirling in Scotland. I have many intrests including football, history (especially ancient egypt, medieval europe and japan), phillosophy and physics. I enjoy all three total-war games and have many other computer games, my favourites including Conflict Freespace and Pharoah.
After many moons of watching others post I decided to take up an account and post my own views. Hopefully I will find time to post regularly.
I look forward to conversing with you all on the forums. I would play multi-player TW but:
a) I'm not very good.
b) I have only a 56k connection.

Hail, I am Philip. I come from Devon, England and I'm taking my A-level exams in a few weeks.
About the the name; I decided to go a bit over the top, it refers to my penchant for the shield wall in MTW and my wish to always construct one that will not break. Which I'm now quite good at.
Anyway, so I have MTW:VI and I'm getting Rome in a few days.

I've done this before, but:
I'm dries, and live in Holland. I have been playing STW for months and am now active in MP too. I don't play the other TW, but love to see screenies. I joined because I just love STW and the .org has a very nice community. You can find me in entrance hall, sword dojo, frontroom and ocasionally actually in about all other forums. Except STW I like to play sports, like basketball and football.

Welcome all new mebers! I look forward to seeing you in the other subforums, but one word of caution the backroom is not for the weak at heart. Sometimes it isn't anyway.
I have visited many times before, and appreciate all the mods and updates. I have used quite a few. I feel I know many of you already in a way, from reading your many posts. I have done my profile so will not redo that here.
Suffice to say, I look forward to developing many friendships. I have been away for quite some time, due to family commitments and going back to school.
