Boxers, when I wear 'normal' underwear my testicles tend to end up in my stomach, which is where they don't belong at all.

On another note i must admit, Boxers on car journeys when you lets say let them slip on a car journey. You cant retreive them as your not mobile anough. Now that is hell when that hapens !

Except for cricket. If you slide, with boxers on, in cricket, you will have the biggest wedgie you have ever experienced. And long car journeys, they can be pretty nasty if you are wearing boxers.

I alternate between good ol' slips and boxers often. Boxers for hiking, weekends, and bank holidays, slips for PE days at school, when I go to the gym, and school...

I wear black or gray boxer-briefs 95% of the time (I do have a few pairs of boxers with incredibly loud prints on them, which I sometimes wear for their humor effect). I've found boxer-briefs to provide the best support without feeling constricted or wedged. Black is sexy (by the definition of every woman who's seen me in my underwear), so if I think there's a chance of me being seen by a woman in my skivvies, I will wear black. I wear grays to the gymnasium and dojo, around the house, and when doing stuff where taking my clothes off in front of women is not likely. For some reason I associate white underwear with being a kid, so I hardly ever wear white, as I'm no kid anymore (except maybe at heart when I'm playing computer games ~:) ).
Here in the USA, men don't wear "slips"--old-fashioned women do--those funky white pseudo-dresses under their outer ones. ~;)
