why cant the belgians create a proper network of road signs. we hadnt past the border for 5 miles and got lost already. when you passed the damn crossroads after that you get the sign. some signs got french names other got belgian names, how the **** should i know wich name matches wich village. when you get a sign at a crossroad, you pass it, you get to a other crossroad, and the signs are not there....wich friggin road must i take. i hate BELGIAN ROADS and their Ministry of INFRASTRUCTURE
I agree the Belgian system of road signs is far from perfect and it is very notorious here just across the border. However, apart from Belgium-bashing, what is the point you're trying to make, Umeu?
its always fun to bash belgians. but i really like they take this in consideration and change those damn roads ~D
the problem is not our roads it's Dutch logic and intellegence ~D
btw: bashing Belgium is quiet lame, bashing the Netherlands on the other hand!?

Addition: come on beirut, if you won't let dutchies insult belgium and belgians insult holland, you're removing our civil liberties, its like english insulting frenchies and vice versa. we need this to exist and at least keep some nationalism, in this capitalist/globalist world.

Not really, we're Belgians because we aren't anything else. We don't identify with Belgium (a little with flanders or Wallony these days) we just don't want to be considered part of any other European country either.Quote:

Yes indeed, Dutch insulting Belgians and vice-versa is a very important part of the culture of this part of the world. Dutch accuse Belgians of being dumb, while Belgians accuse Dutch of being greedy, for example. This is caused by our (mutual) history and apart from the first examples it makes Dutchmen see Belgians as lazy, beer-drinking, Catholic, frie-eating, talking-behind-your-back and having far too much fun, while Belgians view Dutchmen as overactive, Calvinist, loud, rude, bad beer-drinking and generally not much fun people. This usually happens in good cheer and nobody really takes offence of the other (exept for the Dutch PM, of course). ~:cheers: This situation can actually be very interesting, when you are from a border region like me, as many Northern Dutchmen will refer to us as "Half Belgians", while Belgians will consistently call us "Hollanders"... Hmmm, would this make it okay for me to insult both? ~;)
